Founded in 1901, Wolfer's Home Services has a rich history. In 1901, Edwin Wolfer opened the doors of the company in Anita, Iowa, close to the Lennox manufacturing site. Edwin shifted the business to Oregon after his wedding in 1915. Wolfer's takes pride in being one of the longest-standing businesses in Woodburn, and ranks as the second oldest Lennox dealer in the country.

Wolfer's has observed a lot of evolution in the heating and cooling field. When the company was founded, central heating was uncommon. They observed the shift from coal and sawdust burners to oil heat, and later to gas and heat pumps. They initiated the installation of air conditioners and heat pumps in the 1960s. They installed their first heat pump at the ArrowHead Golf Club.

Wolfer's now concentrates on the installation and repair of HVAC systems. Additionally, we offer indoor air quality services and sheet metal fabrication. We cater to both residential and commercial clients. As the General Manager, I have been a long-standing part of Wolfer's Home Services.

Michael B gave me terrific service on Friday of last week. He totally went through my ac unit and my furnace. Explained everything and took pictures. No pressure on repair or replacement. He did arrange for a comfort consultant to come out to cover my questions and needs for possible replacement I have used Wolfers for 7 years and they are always responsive. They don't replace anything that is not necessary.
Ken Eddy (consultant ) met with me for several hours yesterday. He gave me several options , plus/- of each choice. I made my choice and took first available opening for replacement.

Talked to customer service to order two new furnace filters. They sent me one lower grade filter even though I ordered two. I called back to inform them I wanted the higher quality one. I was told someone would get back to me. Three days later, they sent me another similar filter. Nobody called me back about returning the two filters. I got tired of the run around and ordered two MERV 13 from another company. They sent both of them in less than a week. I am still waiting for someone from Wolfers to pick up the filters I do not want. I have called them four times and nobody has gotten back to me to date. I need the $120 to be credited back on the card. Won't be doing business with them in the future after being a loyal customer for years.

I should have known given all the one star reviews that chances were high this would not go well, but they answered my Yelp request for available plumbers and scheduled a day to come out a few days out. When I asked what time they said the window is 9a-5p. However, they canceled right before and said they couldn't come because there were emergencies. I guess having pipes frozen and trickling water is not emergency enough! Furthermore, they never rescheduled us.

We scheduled an appointment for today and have been home waiting their arrival. Finally we called to see when they would be here and THEY WON'T HONOR the appointment they'd scheduled, had us ""on the radar"" to call us that needed to re-schedule, but never did contact us.

If I could give zero stars, you bet I would. I regret the day that I bought a new, high-efficiency furnace from Wolfers. After less than 12 weeks, I've required two service calls. The first was a leaking (all over my floor) pump; the second (and far more serious) was for a completely frozen condensate line during the very first winter storm of the season. I was displaced from my home during a terrible storm for an entire week. But even worse than that was the absolute abysmal follow-up from the service dept. The mixed messaging, the forgotten follow-ups even though they will tell you they'll call back 'within an hour.' The unit that was sold to me should not be a unit that is placed in an attic - it is high efficiency and prone to freezing. Furthermore, they did not even attempt to mitigate this by pre-emptively insulating the condensate line upon install. Guess that's an afterthought. I was steered into buying the most expensive unit when a lesser efficiency unit would have been more optimal without any condensate line to freeze or leak. To add insult to injury, there are employees (Sam, the Install Mgr) who speak rudely and condescending to customers - maybe just the female customers, I don't know. One of the worst customer service experiences of my life, hands down.
This process has truly soured me on a company that supposedly takes great pride in its reputation. If I could turn back time, I would not have become a Wolfer's customer as I feel that once they make a sale, you are forgotten as a customer. Other companies provide much better service than this one. Beware!

We requested an estimate from Wolfer's for a new gas furnace/AC system
and I told the estimator EXPLICITLY that we would be getting several
estimates and I was NOT making a decision that same day. After an hour
and a half of good information/pricing discussions I repeated the same
statement. The estimator left in a huff without providing a business card
or any promotional materials; therefore WOLFER'S will NOT be installing
our new gas furnace/AC systems

Too bad I can't post a video on here of the crap job Wolfer's did installing our water softener. Not only that, we were told the softener would reduce lime scale, which photos show it did not. Now Wolfer's says they don't work on water softeners anymore. We feel totally shafted. We were sold something that doesn't work as we were told it would and was poorly installed. Don't use Wolfer's!
