Just met up with Gary Wilson with Wilson Plumbing & Heating to get a free cost estimate on potential plumbing issues ... I also had him look at a couple of other potential issues ... Gary took the time to explain everything in detail and make service recommendations which was in OUR best interest, the homeowner; he was also very generous with his time ... That's how you build TRUST. I have a hard time believing that this business only collected negative yelp reviews based on their reputation in the community.

They came out to my house in salinas and did a wonderful job. The technician was very professional and the people on the phone were well organized. They were more expensive than your small plumbing company with out the resources which a large company has but they have a great warranty and are licensed and fully insured. You have to remember that you get what you pay for. Should you pay more for professional service? That's up to you but it is worth it to me. John P

Had a sink drain cleared and a leaking faucet on my sink repaired. My opinion is that I would explore other options in the future vs using Wilson Plumbing and Heating. This is because they are absolutely HIGH in their pricing. They were here for less than an hour and it cost me over $400 to do the work. What was really ridiculous was the price to repair the dripping faucet: $280.99. The faucet was less than $80 when I bought it new. It took all of 5 minutes for this work to be completed.

The response time was quick. Less that an hour.
The plumber that came to my house was courteous and professional.
Clean up was done after the work was complete.
THE PRICING IS OUTRAGEOUS!

Do yourself a favor and try someone else.

Called and got a 3-hour window for the following afternoon to correct a plumbing problem. Two hours and 50 minutes into the 3-hour window I called them asking when they would arrive. They said they were pretty busy and wouldn't make it out to my house that day. (Thanks a bunch for calling me, guys!!). I asked if I re-scheduled, what was the possibility of this problem happening again. The response: ""well, we can't make any promises as we're only human."". Amazing.

They came out to replace a little recirculating pump on my hot water heater. Ask for a bid and it was 466 bucks. i said no way and the guy mentioned about water being in the pipe and that is why so costly. He left and I called All Service Plumbing in Pacific Grove. They did it for 95 bucks.

I was charged $350 for a 30 minute job and received NOTHING out of what was done. I was promised to be contacted within a few days and over 3 weeks later I was contacted. In the meantime I went with another reputable plumber and found an honest and honorable interface. Wilson's is nothing more than money money money......absolute junk service. Fact is what I paid $350 for was done 4 months earlier by a competitor for $199. I'm in the process of selling my home so apparently the figure they can stuff it to the seller. I'd like to stuff my foot up their butts.....the dishonest worthless stiffs..........

Slap to forehead for not reading these reviews FIRST. I just paid $350 for a job that the guy said would take 20 minutes to a half hour because I was in a jam and needed the job done immediately. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE. The service guy was nice enough, but when I asked why it was going to cost so much, he said it was a ""fixed price"" based on the repair.

I am seriously appalled that these guys have so many negative reviews. I guess if you just need your toilet fixed, they might be a little expensive? If you need commercial work done RIGHT, then these guys are excellent. I had a terrible experience, beyond terrible, with a ""liked"" company here in the area. The owner was so unprofessional it was embarrassing. A second company failed to get back to us after they gave us a price, even after calling and emailing (""next day"" always turned into 3).

On to Wilson's. They showed up ON TIME (which is so hard to find), were so incredibly friendly, and ended up SAVING US OVER $2000. We explained what we needed and why, and he offered cheaper alternatives. He took the extra step to personally call the city and work it out with them to make sure it was something we could do. Everyone else just wanted to come in, tear everything up, shrug their shoulders, take their money and leave. These guys were quick, efficient, friendly, intelligent, helpful, CLEAN and all around excellent. Their ""jo shmo"" workers (quoting a previous review) have all worked with this company for many years and every person who came in to help us were way more intelligent than the owners of other companies.

It makes me sad that people will give a company 1 star because they are expensive. They have families, employees, and probably make sure they all are taken care of. Although I still paid a lot for my work, they saved me A LOT by using their many years of experience to help me get plumbing done the way I needed it done. If you need a professional plumber for commercial work or a big project, not someone to tighten a faucet, then I highly highly highly recommend these guys. Also (since they were so awesome and I'm irritated at the reviews), if someone says you probably need something fixed to avoid future disaster, it is your choice to say yes or no, go do the research yourself, get a second opinion, and have an open dialogue. They are a business in an expensive area in a state with expensive everything, so unless you know a plumber who does small jobs cheaper, you should not be surprised at any small scale job that is ""expensive."" This company is great, that is all.

We've used Wilson's Plumbing and Heating several times, in emergencies, because they can typically get someone out to your house the same day. Unfortunately, this last time, they didn't solve the problem (sewage backing up into the house), and when I called the next day with the same problem, they couldn't guarantee that anyone could come by. I called Crazy Drains in a panic, they came right away, and I found the plumber to be very efficient, quick, and helpful. They charged half of what Wilson's did, and they actually fixed the problem. Although the technician that came out was very nice and pleasant, the fee that was quoted to us to replace a 40 gallon water heater was $2200! The water heater itself they had listed at $1500! I don't know how they get away with charging people these fees, it is complete nonsense! And when we first called in the morning, the operator said they do not charge for service calls. Once they came out and started draining our water heater, we told them to stop because the fee was too much. They charged us $180 for less then an hours work just to drain the water heater! Beware! We realized before we had meant to call Chris WIlson who had been to our house before and was great, don't make this mistake!
