Yagatabeekidinme P.My S7 phone records every phone call. They said the service person called my number 3 times, but there is no evidence of this. My phone does not show they ever called. So now i have to wait yet another month to get service to my furnace. I scheduled two months ago and have been waiting for two hours. They refuse to come today or anytime soon. But customer service was great.
One-star may seem harsh, but this company is absolutely out to rip you off. They do quality work, of course, but they push repairs on you that you don't need and charge an outrageous amount. For example, I needed a new blower motor and had a Williams Air employee out to take a look. He tells me I need not only a blower motor, but an inducer too (not true at all). The quote comes in at $1,500+ in addition to the $288 for their service plan that I'd already (unfortunately for me) paid. He then tells me I should consider a new furnace altogether considering the price of the repair, which could be $2,500-3,500! Keep in mind my house was new in 2006.
So I instead searched around for a small local business and the guy comes out, diagnoses the problem, checks the inducer which is fine, and tells me he will come back with the part Monday (today) and fix it up. Total cost? $390.98 inclusive of EVERYTHING. $1500 or under $400 hmmm... Seriously, Williams USED TO BE a good company, but now I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.
Run far, far away from this company unless you want to pay through the nose.
Best not to buy a prepay contract, I did fall 2018. The service techs are paid incentive for selling prepay contracts. At the time of purchase for 154.00 I was very specific that it be that tech or no sale. No 3 day limit on cancel was mentioned! Heard nothing until middle Sept for ac?? service. Said time for heating service, send the tech. Told he was no longer there. I said they could not deliver what I bought. Please refund. A Nethan, clerical? Called continually rudely talked as I made points he could not satisfy. Kept mentioning the totally unfair 3 day cancel policy. He was saying they would keep all 154.00 for nothing due to the fact that they couldn't deliver what I had purchased. Wanted to send unknown tech.
Terrible. Technician didn't show up on a Saturday with no call. Then charged me over $500 to recharge AC, it's still not working properly. That was it. I can't get it cooler than 76 in my house at night when it's 68 outside. Terrible company.
Omar M.I would just look for a second opinion on this. They speak very highly about their service and when they did the installation they took my old thermostats. I asked them to return it and they said they will but never did. if I were you, I would just try to compare more quotes and keep in mind they are not very good at their service.
David H.I was very impressed by both the salesman and installation of our new central air unit. They are a first class organization with a next day installation, when temperatures are over 90 degrees!
Christine K.We used this company for many years to clean and service our furnace and air conditioning units. Within the past 4 years the service has declined drastically! We had a technician that apparently sabotaged our air conditioner while servicing it several years ago. It was working perfectly when he got there (we believe he released several pounds of Freon) as the air conditioner failed after he left! We called another company who Fixed the problem by adding back the Freon that had mysteriously been lost. That was 4 years ago and the unit still works perfectly! The new company we were using ended up being purchased by Williams comfort air. Lucky us! We had our unit serviced about a month ago. The technician was more concerned in selling us parts that are still working and did very little cleaning . My husband always watches the service techs as we have lost a level of trust their advertising boasts about! This tech did sub par work. Specifically, the tech did not check or clean the evaporator drain, did not inspect evaporator coils, did not measure outgoing plenum temperature, he did not clean the furnace, he did not measure the high and low side refrigerant pressures. He did not e-mail or provide a copy of the measurements from above that's usually given because he never made the measurements in the first place. These measurements will give a bill of health of just how our system is performing. All he did was try to sell me parts. The above work is typical of what a service man is to perform. Williams Comfort Air did this in the past; however, they are now only interested in collecting for high-priced parts and service contracts. We gave Williams Comfort Air a second chance to make good. So now, we will NEVER give Williams Comfort Air another chance.
Alex G.I had their service once, and it went nicely. From then on, whoever ask me about repair company, they are the one I would recommend!
Sadly, when it comes to my second time call them for service. They treated me like shit. The technician increase the repair price without even come to my house! With an attitude asking if I want him to come out or not! Probably because I told the customer service that the house is not livable without the repair, they told me that the original price quoted will not be the total!
Just wanna share my experience with everyone, so that you don't have to wait for them and then got the service appointment canceled because of increasing price from their technician call!!!
And I will no longer refer them as repair company, but tell people what kind company they really are! !
Tom J.On April 10th I had WCA come out to check my AC for the coming cooling season and also to look at a short cycling issue with my heat pump. I was working, but my wife was home. The technician was very pleasant and quite chatty. He stated that there seemed to be a problem with my heat pump in that it had the wrong fan motor and the wrong compressor in it. News to me as my house is less than 5 years old. He stated that he could get me documentation on what compressor it should have as well as the proper fan. He also stated that he could not check the pressures on the refrigerant because it had the wrong compressor installed. To his credit he also suggested going back to the builder, since the heat pump was not very old, to see if the original installer would fix the issues. I was not very hopeful of that happening, so in the interim he suggested that he order a compressor and fan to get the heat pump back to where it needed to be. Installing those and recovering the refrigerant was going to be $4200. But to get that ""preferred"" price, he needed me to purchase a service contract in the amount of $$. I use the $$ here because I don't remember the exact price and to this day I have not received an invoice or any documentation of what I was charged. I believe it was $198.
I will say that the original company that installed the heat pump came out and found the unit to be low on refrigerant and did put more in it. They were able to check the refrigerant pressures when WCA supposedly could not. They also agreed to come out on a hotter day to try and locate the suspected pin hole leak that allowed refrigerant to leak out. After a week, the ordered parts arrived and I received a phone call to set up an appointment to get them installed. Since I no longer needed them, I contacted the technician to get that process stopped. This was via text. He assured me that he would take care of it. So after a week and two more phone calls from WCA about installing these parts, I was finally able to talk to Savannah and convey to her that I had talked to the technician about getting this cancelled. She acted like she had no idea who this technician was or what was going on, but was more than willing to cancel the parts and their installation. I wondered if the office people ever talked to the outside technicians or if they were even at the same location.
So I am stuck with a service contract that I was sold under what I believe to be FALSE PRETENSE. So my issues with Williams are this:
1. No invoice or documentation provided for a sale of Service Contract
and a technician visit. And after two requests to the technician through conversation and texting, I still don't have any documentation.
2. No documentation of the supposed incorrect compressor and fan. If this is in fact true then I need some documentation of this to use to go back to the original installation company.
3. I called WCA on Tuesday May 14 and related this same story to someone who I believe was named Amy. She was very patient and took her time in taking down the information and assured me she would pass it on to a supervisor for a call back. As of this writing I have not heard a word from WCA. I'm not sure how long it takes to call someone back but I believe a week is way too long.
Based on my experience, it appears that WCA is only interested in selling service contracts. I am not happy and would NOT recommend WCA and if I could give them no stars, I would.
We have the same experience as so many others have. Whenever they come even for routine checkups (because we paid them for these services) they would find something wrong with our units. I had to fire them after have had enough of their tricks. Two years ago they came for routine tune ups before winter starts. Technician asked me whether I have already started my heating and I said yes since there were few cold spells and I had to turn it on. It was working just fine before they arrived. After spending 1/2 hour in my basement he cane up and recommended that our furnace motor is not working and we need to chance our furnace since it's 10 years old. They quoted us around $9000. I was not ready for this and I told them that how come something was working just fine a minute ago but it stopped working as soon as they touched it? They insisted that it wasn't working. I decided to go for a second opinion and called another company. The technician came, told us that the furnace blower or motor whatever you call it would cost us around $200, he fixed it for even less than that and our furnace is still running after two years. Beware of this company, they are beyond dishonest.
