When I first entered the field of contracting, I discovered how high-priced it could be to hire someone for home repairs. Resolved to improve that, I promised that when I started my own business, I would never charge excessive prices. I understand the importance of reasonable pricing. I was introduced to carpentry at the age of 14. I quickly discovered that I had a knack for it. It also helped. It’s possible to make a good living in this trade. However, when I learned what the owner of the company I worked for was asking customers, I was shocked. Electrical contractors charge from $85 to $100 an hour, while carpenters often charge over $300 for an 8-hour day. And we all know the frustrations of dealing with a plumber! That’s when I decided to create Whiteknight Carpentry to help people in steering clear of the high costs of home repair and improvement. I can do what they can do, but I won’t charge you anywhere near what they will.
