I was exposed to carpentry at the age of 14. I realized that I had a talent for it. It was a bonus. It’s possible to make a decent living in this trade. However, when I learned what the owner of the company I worked for was asking customers, I was astounded. Electrical contractors charge around $85 to $100 an hour, while carpenters typically ask for over $300 for an 8-hour day. And we all know the frustrations of calling a plumber! Thus, I chose to create Whiteknight Carpentry to support people in steering clear of the high costs of home repair and improvement.
