When I began the world of home repair, I found out how expensive it could be to engage someone for home repairs. Determined to change that, I decided that when I started my own business, I would never charge excessive prices. I recognize the value of reasonable pricing. I was exposed to carpentry at the age of 14. I quickly discovered that I had a gift for it. It also helped. You can earn a good living in this trade. However, when I saw what the owner of the company I worked for was billing customers, I was astounded. Electrical contractors charge between $85 to $100 an hour, while carpenters often charge over $300 for an 8-hour day. And we all know the challenges of dealing with a plumber! Thus, I chose to start Whiteknight Carpentry to help people in escaping the high costs of home repair and improvement. I’m capable of doing what they can do, but I won’t bill you even close to what they will.
