White Star Commercial is a licensed General Contractor in Louisiana, holding active License No. 33722 since 1998. Our licensing encompasses building construction, municipal projects, public works, and specialty construction. We are proud to be accredited by the Better Business Bureau.

Since 1966, White Star Commercial, Inc. has been delivering general contracting, design-build, construction program management, and building services. With deep roots in southwest Louisiana, our legacy has reached a second generation where “Quality comes First.” We began as Lewis Plumbing & Heating, founded by Joseph Walter Lewis, Sr. Mr. Lewis had seven sons, and the company leadership transitioned to Joseph Walter Lewis, Jr., who relocated the business to New Orleans in 1983.

With a team of dedicated employees who prioritize superior service, we reflect management's trustworthiness and our commitment to integrity and honesty. White Star Commercial boasts a 100% project completion record, never experiencing a bond default or call. Our motto is “On time, on budget, and value for money.” We own and operate a general contracting firm that provides a variety of services, including residential and commercial carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler, electrical, and residential remodeling. Our team directs the efficient construction of foundations and structural rebuilds. We effectively manage and enhance relationships with clients, architects, engineers, building officials, and bank representatives. I supervise and motivate teams of up to 10 in-house employees and various subcontractors. I oversee daily operations, subcontractor arrangements, quality control, job site coordination, and client meetings.
