White Star Commercial is a licensed General Contractor in Louisiana, holding active License No. 33722 since 1998. We are licensed in various areas including building construction, municipal work, public works, and specialty construction. We are proud to be accredited by the Better Business Bureau.

Established in 1966, White Star Commercial, Inc. offers general contracting, design-build, construction program management, and building services. Rooted in southwest Louisiana, our legacy has grown into a second generation, emphasizing that “Quality comes First.” Originally named Lewis Plumbing & Heating, the founder was Joseph Walter Lewis, Sr. Joseph Walter Lewis, Sr. had seven sons, and leadership passed to Joseph Walter Lewis, Jr., who moved the business to New Orleans in 1983.

We live by the motto “On time, on budget, and value for money.” We own and operate a general contracting firm that provides a variety of services, including residential and commercial carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, fire sprinkler, electrical, and residential remodeling. Our team directs the efficient construction of foundations and structural rebuilds. We build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, building officials, and bank representatives. I supervise and motivate teams of up to 10 in-house employees and various subcontractors. I manage daily operations, subcontractor agreements, quality assurance, job site coordination, and client meetings.
