As licensed and insured Master Plumbers, Heating & Air Conditioning experts, and Fire & Sprinkler Specialists, We are a licensed Louisiana General Contractor, with active License No. 33722, originally issued in 1998. Our licenses cover building construction, municipal projects, public works, and specialty construction. Our business is accredited by the Better Business Bureau, which we take pride in.

Founded in 1966, White Star Commercial, Inc. provides general contracting, design-build services, construction program management, and building solutions. With deep roots in southwest Louisiana, our legacy has reached a second generation where “Quality comes First.” Initially known as Lewis Plumbing & Heating, our founder was Joseph Walter Lewis, Sr. Mr. Lewis had seven sons, and the company leadership transitioned to Joseph Walter Lewis, Jr., who relocated the business to New Orleans in 1983.

We live by the motto “On time, on budget, and value for money.” We run a general contracting firm offering a range of services such as residential and commercial carpentry, mechanical work, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, electrical services, and residential remodeling. We oversee the effective development of foundations and structural rebuilds. We build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, building officials, and bank representatives. I supervise and motivate teams of up to 10 in-house employees and various subcontractors. I oversee daily operations, subcontractor arrangements, quality control, job site coordination, and client meetings.
