Researching on Google and here led to this company, which operates in all metropolitan areas of California and has been in business a while. If you've been installing and fixing water heaters for half a century, chances are you know what you're doing.

Booking a job was smooth from initial phone call reporting the issue, to arrival of technician, to permit delivery.

Explanation of the work was thorough, and at any point if there were questions, I was encouraged to call the main number to get specifics. In with the new tank, out with the old... Which I sort of wish had decided to corrode earlier-- like maybe years earlier. So I could have had a more efficient water heater a lot sooner and not wa$ted $o much on un-necessary energy and water..... But I digress.

Everyone was professional and courteous, from W.H.O.'s call center to the managers to the on-site plumber-contractor, who was detail-conscious and tidy and did a fine job that successfully passed inspection.

Permit was arranged and provided in a timely manner. I recommend Water Heaters Only and would hire them again.

I am unsure how a 'Water Heater Only' company does not provide water heater service, specifically in replacing a water heater.

To sum up my interaction, I requested a quote on Yelp using the button on the right at 2pm, I did not receive a response until 8am the next day saying ""Unable to Service - Sorry, I don't provide that service."" from Bay O.

if you do not provide water heater service, then what do you provide??? My area is clearly in the area serviced too.

This business was top notch all the way around. Their dispatcher, Nancy, was very helpful and went the extra mile to get a technician to my home same day. Once there, rather than completing the planned replacement the tech identified an issue and found a less expense hose replacement. He was professional and stayed to make sure I had working hot water. I would recommend to anyone.

If I could leave 10 stars, I would. This company is awesome when it comes to customer service. They show up on time, call before they come, explain the situation they find and then make excellent recommendations. Valerie and Nancy, in the office, were both great in answering questions about their products and services, and Brandon, the installer, was really considerate, timely, efficient and just generally a very nice guy. Our Whirlpool water heater had stopped working, and we tried to fix it ourselves with new parts, but it was shot. The last thing we needed was to pay for a new water heater. However, they allow you to pay 1/3 down with 2 more payments at 30 and 60 days. They offered a senior discount as well. We had 3 companies come out with estimates. Water Heaters Only was 1/2 the price of the other companies. I hadn't heard of the brand of water heater they use (Bradford White), but I felt confident in their recommendation which was based on their experience in repairs or warranty work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company for the above reasons!

I called to replace a water heater about 9:00am on August 28 2018. Ron B. came out hauled away the old one, replaced with a new 50 gallon, placed wood underneath, updated to code on earthquake straps...by 2:00pm the same day!
Ron B. was efficient and professional.
I then asked they come out the next day to just make sure no gas was leaking and everything was perfect (because my fire alarms/CO monitors went off in the night)--John F. came out and checked in and outside of my home to make sure. Everything was fine.
I just needed new fire/CO alarms-just coincidental on our part.
Thank you for excellent service on the phones as well. Water Heater Only, Inc made everything easy!

I need my hot water heater serviced so I called Water Heaters only. When I called i talk with the owner he stated that they could fix the water heater for $350.00 and hey could have service person out in about a hour. When the service person showed up at the house he noticed that the cover was off the water heater and company policy was the if the water heater was tamper with they could not do the repairs. I understood and said ok. The biggest problem for me was that they still charge me 89 bucks to tell me that they could not do the repairs. The owner never stated to me that there would be a charge if they could not do the repairs. So i am out 89 bucks and no repair and no hot water!!

I am very surprized by the negative reviews. Our experience was completely positive. They did a great job that we are very satisfied with and their price was reasonable.

I called Water Heaters Only because we unable to light our water heater. Given their name, I thought they would specialized enough for at least a diagnosis. I was given a window from 2pm-5pm. Once 4:45pm rolled around, I decided to give them a call. They informed me then that the technician was in DAVIS (the porperty is in North Sacramento). Finally, well after 5pm, the technician arrived. I received a call since I was not home where they told me they were unable to work on the water heater because it was ""blocked"" by a condesation pump. I took their word for it and said I would have a specialist transport said pump to a different spot to allow access to the panel.
Upon inspection, said pump was easily moved and should have not at all interfere with anyone working on it.
I called to get clarification and they told me I would receive a call back around 2pm when another rep was on duty. 4pm rolled around and I still hadnt heard anything so I gave them a call back. There was still no one available to give me clarification.
I asked if I could have another technician come to asses the situation and they told me they couldnt fit me.

I still have a water heater that need service. If anyone know a reliable provider, let me know.

One star because zero or negative stars not available. Promised one price. Charged another. Threatened to leave if I didn't agree to the new price. Agreed, paid, then had to argue by phone with owner over the next couple days to get the difference back via refund. Scumbags.
