Finally, an HVAC person I can trust.

My past experience with HVAC companies has been this: Repairman shows up, goes into enumerating all the repairs it would take to bring the equipment up to workable standards, and then calls his supervisor to offer a second opinion. Then it becomes apparent the repairman is just a shill for a salesman wanting to sell all new equipment.

So when my AC stopped working on the first really hot day of the summer I felt that stress creep over me, expecting to suffer through the same dishonest farce I've encountered in the past.

I couldn't have been more wrong, and couldn't be happier that I contacted Walton Plumbing Heating and Air. What a fantastic person. Robert came two days earlier than his original commitment, fixed exactly what was needed, and did so at a reasonable price. There was no hard sell, no laying on of guilt, no pressure to buy perpetual cleaning contracts, no ""second opinion"" in the form of a salesman. Just honest, prompt, friendly, and competent service.

Thank you for renewing my faith in the industry. I hope to find you again the next time I have a need.

They did a nice job and bonus points for same-day availability.

Robert answered the phone straight away and I described our issue which was a leaky hose bib. He asked that I take a picture of it and text it to him which I did, so the plumber would have a better idea when he came out. Plumber was friendly and able to describe what the issue was and what the repair would look like, including a worst-case scenario. Luckily, the repair went smoothly and he was done in a couple hours including a trip for parts. Price for the part was reasonable and the labor was about what I expected, around $70/hour

I've been using Robert as my plumber since the early 90's at three different houses in the Salt Lake Valley. He just replaced a water softener for me. They did a great job at a fair price and on schedule. This is one of many jobs he's done for me over the years and always with the same great outcome. I can't recommend Robert and his crew enough.

On Labor Day weekend, after a long, hot day at Lagoon Amusement Park, we got home to find our A/C was not working. We found Walton Plumbing on Yelp and were impressed with the great reviews.
I called Robert in the evening; he answered right away and listened to our situation.
Robert came over the next morning at 9 am and was able to quickly assess the problem, fixing the two broken fuses and checking out the rest of the system. Everything was running great in just 30 minutes.
We definitely recommend Robert, and will call him again whenever we need a great plumber.

Walton saved saved me thousands of dollars! My AC was experiencing issues and after getting diagnoses and estimates from a couple other companies in SLC, I called Walton for a third opinion and Robert's performed a very thorough diagnostic and found that the previous company suggestions of buying a new AC unit were incorrect. The issue was actually my thermostat. I replaced the thermostat and the issue was fixed. Rather than spending 6k or more I spent a couple hundred!

Mr. Walton is a find in this city. He's professional, honest and does whar he says he is going to do. I called him to fix a problem with my air conditioner and he quickly diagnosed the issue, made the repair and then told me subsequent next steps that should rectify the situation and cure it forever. He was personable and is local to my neighborhood, which I like. It was a top-notch experience and besides the great work, I think it was a solid value. I will recommend him to others and will definitely call him again should the need arise.
