I am really unimpressed with the service here. I had called 1 year ago to get a quote on a new HVAC system. The guy cancelled on me last minute and asked me to just send him pictures. I sent him pictures of my HVAC system and he gave me a quote. He wasn't responding to messages, and after a few days he told me he was too booked up and wouldn't be able to do my job for a few months. I understood his situation and told him I'd contact him once the HVAC eventually broke down. He said that would work.

When my HVAC broke down, I texted him asking to give another quote. I didn't get any text back so I called to check his availability. He told me right away he was booked for 2 weeks and hastily ended the call. I was really shocked as I was expecting much better service with the reviews.

I called another HVAC company and they offered to lend us a cooling system for free while our HVAC was getting worked on. When your AC breaks in 90 degree weather you really want to work with HVAC companies who care. I cannot say I had a good experience with this business.

Scheduled, arrived promptly. Pleasant, professional, and communicative. Explained workings and issues of our furnace. Said he'd made a note of our furnace model for his records so he'd be prepared with specific Lennox parts for us if he were called to our house again. Good guys.

Robert fixed my radiator system in about 10 seconds. This thing has been broken for most of the late winter (intermittent). I was thinking that it was a bad Nest thermostat, but it turned out being an igniter.

Just outstanding service and quality. Quinn did a great job in replacing a cracked waste pipe in our bathroom. Not only an A1 job in repairing and finishing off the work, he is also a very polite and friendly fellow. I found them listed here on yelp and their five-star ratings are well deserved. I put their name and number in my phone list and have no qualms about giving them the highest recommendation myself.

Walton provides a great service, and Robert is highly trustworthy. His team installed a tankless water heater and water softener in a very tight space in our house and they did an excellent job. Also, I called Robert when another less reputable plumbing company told me that I had bellied pipes under the house that could burst any minute. Of course, fixing such a problem would have cost many thousands of dollars. I was suspicious about the ""problem,"" so I called Robert for his advice. He came over right away, and he said that I very likely didn't have a problem and that I should try cleaning the pipes first (a much cheaper solution!). He didn't charge us anything for his assessment and advice. I then called a drain and pipe cleaning company that Robert recommended and they said our pipes were fine. I feel lucky to have found a trustworthy company, and I highly recommend Walton Plumbing Heating and Air.

After receiving such good reviews, I certainly did not expect the snide response (and possibly misogynistic, we all know how Utah is) that was received by my family. When calling to ask about a bid, we asked about installing a new Lennox a/c system. The guy answering the phone laughed snidely and said, ""Well, if that's the way you want to go"". Anyone who is in the industry knows Lennox is reputable brand and on the better end. This guy was clearly being a jerk because it wasn't a brand he sells and the dismissive attitude is probably partially due to being female. Can't say anything about their work, but the attitude alone is worth staying away from.

Finally, an HVAC person I can trust.

My past experience with HVAC companies has been this: Repairman shows up, goes into enumerating all the repairs it would take to bring the equipment up to workable standards, and then calls his supervisor to offer a second opinion. Then it becomes apparent the repairman is just a shill for a salesman wanting to sell all new equipment.

So when my AC stopped working on the first really hot day of the summer I felt that stress creep over me, expecting to suffer through the same dishonest farce I've encountered in the past.

I couldn't have been more wrong, and couldn't be happier that I contacted Walton Plumbing Heating and Air. What a fantastic person. Robert came two days earlier than his original commitment, fixed exactly what was needed, and did so at a reasonable price. There was no hard sell, no laying on of guilt, no pressure to buy perpetual cleaning contracts, no ""second opinion"" in the form of a salesman. Just honest, prompt, friendly, and competent service.

Thank you for renewing my faith in the industry. I hope to find you again the next time I have a need.

They did a nice job and bonus points for same-day availability.

Robert answered the phone straight away and I described our issue which was a leaky hose bib. He asked that I take a picture of it and text it to him which I did, so the plumber would have a better idea when he came out. Plumber was friendly and able to describe what the issue was and what the repair would look like, including a worst-case scenario. Luckily, the repair went smoothly and he was done in a couple hours including a trip for parts. Price for the part was reasonable and the labor was about what I expected, around $70/hour
