If you can request specific plumbers, ask for Chris and Jesus. They came by, took a look at all my issues, told me how to fix the ones that we could fix to save some money, and fixed a couple issues quickly and at no additional cost. As a new homeowner, I really appreciate the friendly and good service they provided since this is all a bit overwhelming. I'd definitely suggest calling Village for whatever plumbing needs you have!

Don't be fooled by the positive reviews. This place gouges customers with the best of them. They charged me almost $300 for a 10 minute job. Be cautious.

Eight days ago, scalding hot water shot up through the downstairs toilet, the same downstairs toilet village plumbing has already visited three times this year. The only difference this time is they send a duo with a metal detector who determined that they need to dig up a flower bed to access a broken line, yet the crew they contracted for the dig (not plumbers themselves) inform us that there isn't any break there and that the digging needed to be done several feet from the site. Sure enough, after three days of no activity, no returned phone calls...etc village plumbing informs us that they do in fact have to dig elsewhere and that they're currently awaiting permits from the city. Meanwhile its been eight days and several thousand dollars since I've had a washing machine, dishwasher, shower or any working toilet, so thanks village plumbing, for your timeliness, efficiency and professionalism.

I called Village on Thanksgiving day for a main line blockage while I had a house full of guests.
They quoted a $250 emergency holiday call out fee plus work done.
Their plumber called 30 minutes later and said he could be here in about 2 hours and would then call on his way.
31/2 hrs later he called and said he could come, work would be $344 plus $250 fallout and no promise or guarantee of success clearing the line. So $600 for possibly nothing and too late anyway.
Called another company, now on the way for free written estimate with guarantee plus video.
All past experiences with village have been at truly unbelievable prices, thought it might be worth it today.
Wrong.

Don't use them. Had a simple commode issue that cost me $20 to fix. They were going to charge me almost $300 and basically told me I might want to replace the entire commode, which was a joke. Total upsell mentality.

We had an emergency the other day and Village Plumbing was over shortly after we called. They looked clean, polite, smart, and made a point to explain things clearly what was wrong with our pipes. Actually, they noticed that our water heater was still under warranty, then gave me all the info I needed to call and see what I could get for free. It ended up being a better deal to have Village Plumbing install a new Bradford White (the only appliance company of this kind that manufactures a lot of its parts in the USA) heater to replace the junky one the former homeowners installed. Unfortunately a tankless water heater was not a good fit for our old copper pipe. I highly recommend to anyone who needs a good plumber.

our AC went out in our garage apartment. The Village Plumbing guy said it was out of freon, didn't know why, charged us $400 to fill the freon. Less than a week later, all the freon was gone again and hot air was spewing from the AC! We are frustrated that the repair man didn't look for the source of the leak and fix the leak before he filled the freon and charged us! We will not be using Village Plumbing for any future service!

A service call was placed at 8:30a.m. No one arrived until 1:15p.m. despite having an a.m. service window (9a-1p). The service required was on a Sub Zero ice maker. Ice was being produced but water was leaking into the receptacle causing an ice block.
Firstly, the technician opened the fridge and commenced work allowing ice and water to drop on the wood floor while he disassembled the unit. I was happy to provide towels but you would think that they would be requested prior to commencing. What followed was an odyssey. He proclaimed that the unit leaked because the teflon coating was peeling and would have to be replaced. When asked to explain, he then proclaimed that there was corrosion. When asked to please demonstrate the area of corrosion, he was then silent and unable to demonstrate. This gentleman obviously new nothing about Sub zeros, he couldn't even replace the receptacle back into the Fridge--I did it for him. At this point I called the office and the service person apologized and said she was unclear as to why the 'experienced' Sub Zero technician had not been sent out but she would get him out as quickly as possible. 2 hours later I call to check on this next technician and was informed that unfortunately she had misunderstood and thought I didn't want anyone out to service my problem. I then spoke to the Manager who informed me that he was sorry that "I didn't believe his technician but that he stood behind his assessment". The truly unfortunate circumstance is that these people obviously do not screen their technicians and can't be bothered with customer service. The only reason they survive is that they are located in an affluent area with a public who is either unsuspecting or too busy to take note.

p.s. I had Nick the plumber from these guys and he Was Awesome. Kudos to him.

Our water heater broke 2 nights ago. I am skeptical when it comes to handyman/honey-do jobs, assuming service providers are out to nickel and dime me for unnecessary tasks or items. So, after checking threads online and deciding I had neither the knowledge nor frustration tolerance to solve this (I'm useless if I don't get a hot shower. First-world woe is me!), I agreed with my hubby that a plumber would be worth the financial sacrifice.

Nick from Village Plumbing was over shortly after we called yesterday. He was clean, polite, quick, thorough, and made a point to explain things clearly without a sales pitch. Actually, he noticed that our water heater was still under warranty, then gave me all the info I needed to call and see what I could get for free. It ended up being a better deal to have Village Plumbing install a new Bradford White (the only appliance company of this kind that manufactures a lot of its parts in the USA) heater to replace the junky one the former homeowners installed (it broke in 4 places after only 3 years). Unfortunately a tankless water heater was not a good fit for our 1920s pipelines.

Anyway, I called yesterday to book an appt for Nick and an apprentice to install a new heater today. They arrived by 9am (the window was 8-12) and were through with the job by 11:30. Oh, and they discovered that our drain pipe had been improperly installed the first time around, so they ended up crawling under the house to add piping so that it would reach the side of the house instead of flooding below it. They told my husband about this after doing the work. The added charge? $0. They just wanted us to be happily up to code.

We ended up buying a maintenance package for $99 which has already paid for itself b/c it discounted the price of the installation by over $100. Included in the package is the opportunity to receive free estimates on any other plumbing work. Regardless of if we hire these guys to do the work, the usual $59 fee is waived. This is a super plus for us considering the number of shortcuts we've discovered the previous owners to have taken in renovating our little bungalow.

It is so refreshing to find a trustworthy local service company for this type of home maintenance.

I've had Village Plumbing in my house many times over the last several years. BUT, I think they have gotten a big greedy! I called to get some work done. They never advised me there was a $59.95 service charge. I needed two sink drains cleaned out, one shower drain cleaned, a sink pluger adjusted, and a minor toiled repair. All minor stuff....he total came to $1099.84. I paid the service charge, but was not happy they did not advise me of it at the time I called. And will look else where for my plumbing needs.
