DON NOT USE THIS PLACE. We placed a call for a leaking hot water heater on the 16th, hoping to get in line early. We received a call from a technician (John Malone), who assured us that it was AN EMERGENCY, and that he would be by as soon as the roads cleared. It has now been 11 DAYS, AND WE HAVE HEARD NOTHING. NO RESPONSE TO REPEATED PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS. I understand they are under tremendous strain right now, but not to even contact us and let us know where we are in line? COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.

Worst response ever! I realize that Houston had a major issue with the pipes bursting from the extreme cold but that is no excuse for lousy customer service. We are seniors in our 70s and called Village on Wed, Feb 17 when we noticed the leak. The person we spoke to took all our information and told us we would have service in 24 to 48 hours. So we didn't bother any other companies knowing that they would be swamped with others needing help. After not hearing from them by Saturday we called again to get a recording that they apologized and were taking no new calls but would get to those who had called as soon as possible. We waited until Monday and called again only to be told that our information was not in the system and the earliest they could get to us was March 9. They refused to acknowledge or help with their mistake and apparently could not care less for commitments. No here we are with no water and all other companies fully booked as well. What a lousy customer service or willingness to fix a mistake.

i am a repeat customer and today I needed a plumber to clear a kitchen sink that is clogged. I am in a hi-rise condo and my building engineer could not clear it with a snake. He said I need a plumber with a thicker snake. I called Village Plumbing and they wasted about 25 minutes of my time on Internet chat and then on the phone, where I got transferred 3 times to different people. Finally they told me they could not use a snake in a hi-rise. I am not a happy camper and will not willingly do business with them again.

Village Plumbing was out for a routine plumbing inspection where I asked them to check my turn and lock valve on my bathtub because it was starting to have a slow leak and I needed the trim piece replaced. The tub worked fine, it just had a slight leak from the turn and lock gasket that kept the bathtub from filling up. The work was quoted at $450, which is incredibly high I've learned since (averages $145-$250), and after the banging and clattering for an hour, pulling out the hammer, etc., the plumber comes down to inform me that he has broken the waste and overflow line under the bathtub, asks me how old the house is? (it's 34 years old) and says the pipe probably corroded (it's PVC, PVC doesn't corrode). He continues to yammer before telling me that he needs to speak with his manager. Thirty minutes later he comes back to inform me that they will need to cut in to the sheet rock to repair the damages, and that the plumbing company isn't liable and it will cost me $1,500 extra. (Two other companies have quoted me $500 for the job since, a job that now includes a repair that was not necessary in the beginning. I've always paid a premium for Village Plumbing, but after speaking with multiple different plumbing companies around the city, I've found that this is a racket. If you're charging a premium, you should probably take liability on jobs where your technician breaks something without the foresight to warn of the possible outcome or awareness to stop when it's at a threshold of fragility. I will never use this company ever again, nor will I ever recommend this company to any friend.
Update 02-12-21
The Village Plumbing team came and made it right today. I appreciate the timely resolution to my problem and appreciate your company doing the honorable thing.

We had excellent service from Tommy from Village Plumbing. We had been experiencing some high water bills and concerned that we had a leak. Tommy diagnosed the problem quickly and repaired our leak. He cleaned up the area and left it as he had found it. Tommy was courteous, friendly and pleasant, He observed COVID 19 protocols. I would highly recommend Tommy and Village Plumbing and Air Conditioning for your plumbing and AC needs

If I could enter -5 I would! Extremely dissatisfied with customer service and miscommunication from village plumbing staff. This will be their fourth time out to fix the same problem on a hot water heater. Last night, they said they'd be back at 8 AM, and they're still not here at 4 PM. Don't even call them! It will cause you a lot of headaches and broken promises.

I was disappointed that I was told 12 month interest free and when I contacted the loan company I was to be charged 10% interest every month, not as I was promised.
I was told first they would be there on Tuesday, which became Thursday and they would be there by 10am. They didn't arrive until 5:30pm and patched it so I had water as I had been without for three days.
They came back the next day, again, supposed to be at 10am, didn't arrive until 5pm
Because of another issue with my plumbing, I found out they had laid the pipes so close to the insulation that the insulation was melted.
I was extremely disappointed, especially considering I am a widow on a fixed income. I felt victimized
I will never recommend them to anyone.

HORRIBLE scheduling process. Had a regular service appointment scheduled, and I requested morning service. The day of the service, they couldn't narrow it down any tighter than sometime between 8:30am and 4:30pm, and expected me to sit home all day waiting for service. Claimed they called their crew twice and asked them to call me. No call was ever received.
They need a MUCH more customer-friendly scheduling process.

Do not call them. I was charged $350 to have my kitchen drain cleared initially the man told me he'd have to use the "big machine" which was $750. Then he said he would use the small machine which was the $350. At no time did he take the pipes apart and look at it before giving me this quote.

I had called Village Plumbing sometime back to help out with a plumbing leak. They charged me $450 (entire bill was $785) to run a camera down the pipe and found a nail. We decided not to fix it at that time but are now ready to do so. I called Village back and they said that the technician did not note where the nail was and they didn't save the pictures so I would have to pay for another camera locate . I've used Village multiple times, but since they were not willing to work with me on the issue I started shopping around and found that their prices are considerably higher than other local companies.
