Jason S. from Village Plumbing provided friendly, helpful and timely service for our AC leak issue. Very detail oriented and committed to getting the job done right.

Great mom and pop type company with a great service tech who was professional and welcome in my home around my kids. Thanks.

After reading good review, i decided to give them a call for my AC is broke last wkend. The dispatch was polite and told me she can get someone at my house very soon. They did, 2 men shown up at my house stay around 2-3hours. It was raining last week and they did not take off their shoes and wet mud all around house and carpet. They were very noisy and survey around the house and asking alot of questions other then about the AC. I.e. how many people live in this house, where is your husband? Then, they told me in order to replace my AC unit and all the wire, it will cause 10K. I was not very happy with their attitude and not very comfortable honestly and feels that they were not very honest with us. I decided to have another company for a quote and gave me excellent and professional service. I am not sure about village Plumbing!

Well, I'll say this to start: After reading a ton of discussion boards about how to fix some common problems like a garbage disposal and an A/C capacitor, I probably could've done the jobs myself for a 1/4 of the cost. BUT! It would've taken me probably 3 times longer, and I probably would've messed it up - besides, diagnosing the problem is half the battle, and I certainly am not trained to do that.
So, when you're stuck with no A/C on a Friday night when it's a gazillion degrees inside your house, and your kitchen sink is leaking all over your floor, well, I'd be willing to pay a little extra for quick, professional, and courteous service... And, Village Plumbing provided all of this!
From the first person I spoke with on their after-hours emergency hotline, to the dispatch who called me promptly at 7:45 this Saturday morning, to the two service techs (one for A/C, one for plumbing) they sent out within a couple of hours after that, I was met nothing less that friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous service. Sure, they might be a tad bit pricey, but I doubt they charge any more than any other show in town. And, I doubt you'll get such great service and thorough attention to the jobs than you will with these folks. For example, sure, it took the one fellow about 5 minutes to diagnose and replace my A/C capacitor. But, he then spent another 45 minutes making sure the A/C was working right and all the valves and other doo-dads were operating as they should before he presented me with a bill. That's service! And, another great part about it, they gave me options and didn't try to force any upsells on my. I sincerely appreciate that kind of way of doing business.
I highly recommend these guys.

Jason S installed 2 toilets for me today. Had trouble with the joint into the wall on one but he was able to find a quick workaround that looks great. Really professional. Would recommend them to anyone else.

I researched local plumbers with the BBB and reviews here and on other sites. I settled on Village Plumbing to fix a leak under my kitchen sink. It turned out my garbage disposal was corroded and had to be replaced. The plumber quoted me a price of $470 to install the same model. I looked up the cost of the disposal online and found it for $80 with 2 day delivery. I did a little negotiating and got the price for the installation down to $398. I did more research after I agreed to the installation and found that the average price for installation of this particular disposal, based on average labor costs for plumbers in Houston should have been about $220.
I guess I learned my lesson on doing more research beforehand. They shouldn't overcharge customers so outrageously and expect return business.
I would never use this company again and would not recommend it to anyone. Stay away!

my wife called before I got to look at the problems. $200 to fix the sink and pipes? I tightened the main and it no longer leaks. $250 to hook up a new gas stove plus a new line with a different size connect. I did it for $45 and DID NOT need a different size connect. $350 to hook up a separate oven... I did it for $0, just connected it and all these things have worked fine. The "salesman" they sent told us that there might be a leak near the house and main h2o line and that he might have to report us? I saw no leak and that was several $1000 guestimate. I will never call this company again.

Overall, I had a good experience with Village Plumbing. I called on Monday and was able to have someone come out the next day (though I think if I had needed same day, they would've been able to do that as well).
Set up a morning appointment with them (though, so you know, morning is anywhere between 8am and 1pm). My only complaint is that they called me to tell me it'd be about 30 mins before my plumbers showed up, and then, an hour later, they knocked on my door. Kind of annoying because I had put things off thinking that they should be here "any minute," and I didn't want to start something that'd take a while. Turns out, I had plenty of time to get done what I needed to had I known it wouldn't be "any minute."
Other than that, they came in and worked fast and solved my problem. They even gave me a few tips about how to prevent it in the future. Also, I appreciated that they didn't try to oversell me on their 1 year protection program thing. That's always annoying. They were kind and friendly and didn't track a bunch of mud and dirt into my home or around my bathroom. I'd recommend them and use them again in the future.

Jason S. is the best! Be sure to request him.
I called Village Plumbing & Home Services today and they had someone come to my house very quickly. Jason was quick and efficient handling the issues in my home; he was very pleasant to work with, and I highly suggest his services!
An easy, effective, and great experience, to put simply.

My new townhome (1 prior owner & only 3 years since construction) had a bunch of plumbing issues to be resolved. I signed a service agreement with Village after I had a backyard irrigation leak on a Sunday (see my 11/25/12 review), so in early Jan I had the plumber out to review my to-do list. I spent a chunk of change with Village, but their pricing seems to be in line with the other providers in town (Houston is much more expensive than Columbus OH!). However, I do believe every $ spent was worth it as they have (a) replaced my damaged water heater and garbage disposal, (b) fixed a shower that only spit out boiling hot water, (c) snaked and drained a few slow sinks, (d) installed shut off valves on an outside kitchen sink, etc. etc. Having a service agreement certainly trimmed the overall price tag a bit. But I have to write that I do feel the people at Village are very customer-oriented and helpful to me. Ask for David Ibarra, Chris G., or Will for excellent service.
