Another L.A. gem to keep in the Rolodex! (You know, that rolling thing that kept contacts on paper. LOL)

So I had a water heater with smoke coming out the exhaust pipe that vents to the top of the house. It scared the bejesus out me because I JUST completed a long and arduous process with the insurance company over a flood. Last thing I need at the house was a FIRE! OMG. So I called my ace Josh over at 1 Oak Remodeling and he sent someone over to turn off the water heater on HOLY SATURDAY! (Love that dude) And then I followed up with a plumber later. That plumber saw the video I sent him of the smoke coming out the chimney and told me I needed a new water heater. Minimum $1800. Shit. But when I wanted to make arrangements for him to come out, he told me he didn't work in my area. No problem.

Enter Walter. Found him on yelp and called him because he was close to my house. When he came out and saw the problem, he said ""you don't need a new water heater! That's ridiculous! You need a widget and a thing-a-ma-bob and I have to reconstruct your vent. Probably a quarter of that amount!""

Dude literally saved me over a $1000 by replacing the doohickey and that thing right there.

So I was like ""hmmmm, while I've got your here...""

Then I had him fix the toilet...
and my garden spigot...
And the leak at the toilet...
And...
And...
And...

Never complained, did a great job, was even friendly to my dog, AND did some of those things for free. AND YOU KNOW HOW I LIKE FREE!!!

Anyhoo, give Walter a call. You'll be glad you did!

Walter is a great guy... gets to the root and fixes it.
Takes time to learn your problem and doesn't hesitate to answer your million queries and concerns. Honest, reliable and not greedy at all.
We had smelly water in restroom sinks and we were all ready for a big invoice to change pipes and what not.
He found a solution for no charge... who does that in today's world? But now he got us for life!

I have used this company for over a year. Walter Villacortas is always very thorough with every project he's done for us - from informing us about what equipment or products to purchase... to accomplishing the work in a timely fashion. He's a true professional - prompt, knowledgeable, efficient...and practical. The latest project was the instillation of a whole house water filtration system. Because the unit is visible from the street, Walter designed, built and painted a small shed to protect the system from the elements and any possible theft. He did an excellent job! The shed is unobtrusive and blends in well with the exterior layout of the house. I highly recommend this company!

Had a clogged shower drain within 1 month of moving into my new house. It appeared to be a result of grout entering the drain from a brand new tile job on the shower. Walter came in, honestly assessed the situation and cleared the drain. He was clean, honest, and quick...what more can you ask for?

We called Walter for an emergency that was happening out doors on our french drain. With all the rains we have been getting a flooding issue started to happen & was slowly creeping into our garage.

The conversation on the phone was nice & I did not feel like I was going to be uncharged, so that was refreshing.

I decided to go with a different plumber since my last experience wasn't too great. After reading yelp reviews, I decided to call Villacortas Plumbing, and I'm so glad I did. Walter is real easy and chill to work with, gives you all the details, and works professionally at a very reasonable price. He unclogged, and fixed a drain one day. And replaced my old water heater the following morning. Aces!
