Cannot recommend anyone use Veterans Plumbing, even if they are what is available under a home warranty which is what I'm dealing with. My condo is fairly old and I'm feeling that the bathtub pipes will need to be replaced sooner than later. The tub was backing up despite my attempts to resolve it myself so I put in a work order request thru Fidelity National Home Warranty. The work was done ok, but there are some extreme communication issues this company needs to resolve.
My request was put into the system on 4/2/21. I had to call them multiple times the week after during business hours to get their ""administrator"" to call me back. Her words were ""I will call you back within 2 hours"" was a lie, because I had to call back myself the day after. A WEEK LATER is when I finally was able to connect with the ""administrator"" and have a plumber come out to take care of my bathtub. She couldn't bother to call me back though- our conversation was strictly iMessages (because the number I had to call is an iPhone).
Within a few weeks the bathtub started backing up again, so I called Fidelity back on May 7 to issue a recall on the work/have someone come back out. The back-up was worse. As of my review posting I still have yet to see the plumber back out at my house. The week before, he called me 30min out from my house despite me not ever speaking or texting with the company to confirm a good date or time for him to return. The plumber told me he would have the administrator call me back same day but that has yet to happen. So at this point I'm hoping to get a refund on my service and use a personal and DEPENDABLE referral.

James came out for a slow tub issue. He was professional, courteous and wore a mask. He resolved our issue to our issue to our satisfaction.

They replaced our hot water heater three years ago and here we are with the same situation. It needs to be replaced again. Not right!

Do not use! They were sent out as part of my home warranty claim process. The first guy didn't help because the attic was too hot (I get it but it is your job to find my water leak). So he sent out his Supervisor later that evening - nice enough gentleman, identified the leak and the fix. BUT someone from Veterans called a Restoration company out to my house and I got hosed by that company. Veterans had absolutely no business calling a restoration company on my behalf - and a shady one at that! They promised insurance would cover the damage, which they didn't because there wasn't any and now I am on the hook. And after having the bill for 14 days, they have now sent me to collections.
STAY AWAY FROM VETERANS! They do not have your best interest in mind nor did anyone discuss calling a restoration company out due to the ""damage."" (BTW, Phoenix Summer, my attic will dry all of the water in no time)

Absolutely horrendous company and employees. Do not answer or return calls, no showed appt after a 2 week wait for a water heater. Absolute worst!

My home warranty assigned this company to me to assess my water heater. I didn't get a call giving a 20 minute advance notice. When they arrived they weren't wearing masks. When I asked them to put on masks due to Covid, they said that they wouldn't because my water heater is in my garage. My garage is still a semi enclosed space and if I need to have them speak with me in my garage , droplets remain in the air. They said they don't carry masks in their vehicle and gave a lame excuse that the company is owned by a ""veteran"", but then said they use masks when entering customers home, which I'm sure they have masks in their car for these instances. It makes no difference who owns the company, masks are required for entering any part of a customer's home. They did not offer to return with masks either. I wouldn't recommend this company if they don't take the safety of their customers seriously and state they don't have masks in their car but yet say they use them when they enter a home. I expected more out of a company, especially if owned by a "" veteran""

Hands down the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. It's unfortunate that my home warranty company decides to do business with them. After being unable to fix the plumbing issue, they have gone weeks without providing a report to my warranty which leaves me with a leak and nothing else I can do. The warranty cannot proceed without their report. Shows how careless they are leaving a customer stuck without a solution. Oh, and they don't answer the phone to top it off.

This place is a scam!!!! First there employees are not all vets. Second I told them to wear a mask and they did not. Third the tech quoted me $325 I thought it sounded high called another company and they fixed it for $85. Total ripoff! DO NOT USE THEM EVER.

Stay Away!! Like most of the other one star reviews, when dealing with a home warranty, I experienced the same horrible service everyone else is referring to. The owner refused to put in writing their repair proposal until after the work was performed and your credit card was charged. Like this business practice? For work not covered by the warranty, they make up for the low payment they receive from the home warranty company, in my case Fidelity Home Warranty, by charging you double what they would charge if not using a home warranty. Veterans will not return any of your phone calls with questions, you are ignored. Their policy is for you to call the home warranty company. This company makes the rules. Their attitude is if you don't like it go somewhere else but you are already into it for $75 and don't have a choice.

TLDR: Poor and unprofessional service. For a utility servicing company, they are slow to respond and have no sense of urgency. Only provide statement of charges verbally and not written. Would not recommend, they don't seem to want your business.
If you have no water or an emergency, don't even bother calling them.
Here is the story of what happened:
My water heater broke and I was assigned this vendor by Fidelity Home Warranty. They were assigned at 10:30am. They did not call me to schedule until 2pm or later and said it would be between 3pm to 6pm when they could get someone out. They were slow to respond, had I had a leaking heater my house would have been flooded.
Moving on, I was assigned a technician named Jose. He gave me a call at 4:30 pm, only to let me know that he would be at my property in 3 minutes. Obviously I could not get there in 3 minutes since I did not live at the property. I texted him and told him my property gate code and lockbox code and that I was on my way, when I got there 20 minutes later he left me a voice mail at 4:37pm saying that he left because noone answered the door and had to reschedule for the next morning. I called him and texted him to come back (at this time it was 455pm or so) but he did not respond and blocked me instead.
The next day they called to reschedule and I told them give me a 30 minutes heads up which they did (only thing they did right). He came 1.5 hours later at about 420 pm. He walked in the condo, took 30 seconds to look at everything, and left. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN DONE THE DAY BEFORE. (No sense of urgency and zero respect for the customer). Mind you this was an emergency, no water supply to the home.
At 450 pm I received a call from Fidelity regarding my bill. They told me the breakdown of charges and that this company only provided it verbally and not written. There was no way I was going to approve something only verbally. I called these guys back immediately and asked to please provide a breakdown of charges in writing. I said to please give me something today as I needed to get it scheduled. They said they would call me back.
Of course, they did not call me back and I had to call them this morning to follow up, they told me they would not be able to come out the same day because I did not approve the charges. Again, how was I going to approve charges without knowing what I am being charged for? The operator said they only provide it verbally over the phone. At that point, I called it off and called someone else.
Good luck with using them to repair your home.
