We had a great experience with the team at Vanguard today! We called them this afternoon with regards to a clogged toilet. We received a prompt response and had someone on site within the quoted time. Dave Fults was extremely professional and fixed our toilet within a very short period of time. He was also very knowledgeable and shared tips on toilet paper (avoid Charmin Ultra Soft) and also those pesky wipes (they're not actually flushable)! All in all, we had a great, seamless, hassle-free experience today. We will definitely keep their number handy for any future plumbing and drain matters!

Robert came out promptly on a Saturday morning to diagnose our issue ... a water leak that soaked the kitchen walls and cabinets. He shut off the supply line, pulled out the dishwasher so we could see the source of the leak as well as the pond of water under the dishwasher, and he carefully documented all of the above via his notes and photographs. He also gave a great recommendation for a water damage remediation company to address the damage.

Robert was able to determine that the problem was caused by an over-tightened connector on the dishwasher that had been installed six months earlier by the appliance retailer (the rubber washer inside the brass supply line connector was cut by the over-tightening, thereby creating a pathway for the water to slowly drip out).

I can highly recommend Robert and we plan to use him for all of our future plumbing needs!

I sent out a message through yelp and got a call back from Robert. I discovered the problem I had was under warranty and was able had the original servicer fix it. In cancelling the appointment, Robert was very helpful and filled me in on things I should ask. Next time I need some work done, I will be calling Vanguard.

I normally do not write reviews but Robert from Vanguard is truly amazing. My Mom pasted away and her house was a mess. The shower was dribbling water and I replaced the valve parts and shower and ended up with the same results. I figured (like most of the other quotes I got) that they were going to have to tear out the tile and wall to replace the valve. Robert assured me that he could fix it without any of that and have it working over night. He was on punctual and explained the entire process to me. He fixed the plumbing (cleared the pipes of mineral deposits) and the shower works great (TG) He also checked all the faucets for me. I have dealt with many plumbers in my day and this guy is honest and amazing. You can't go wrong with him...I'm not from the Oceanside area and wished he was closer to me to use him at my house.

I called Vanguard plumbing to come and give me a quote on an out door drain clog I had in my yard. Robert was very up front in his response to my request for a quote and was very easy to schedule a time with. Unfortunately my drainage pipe needed to be replaced, but Robert gave me a very good quote and was unbelievably informative on my options. Since there was going to be some pretty major work going on in the yard, I decided to do some yard renovations before having the pipe replaced.

A couple of weeks after Robert had come and given me an estimate for drain pipe our hot water heater decided to poop out at about 9 am on a Monday morning. I called Robert right away and he said he could be out first thing the next morning. I probably could have called around and gotten someone to do it faster, but I was so impressed with my first experience that I knew I wanted Vanguard to do the work. Robert came out Tuesday morning to look at my water heater and gave a full cost to replace it right then. He also took the time to explain to me all of the different types of water filtration and water treatment options that were available, along with the costs. Since I have a water softener and a reverse osmosis water system I was very interested in the differences between all of the systems. He also explained to me that my old water heater wasn't even installed up to building code standards. After all of the home repairs I have done I wasn't really surprised by this news. But I appreciated him telling this information.

Needless to say we had hot water running again in a few hours. The installation is beautiful and more efficient than my old hot water heater. When Robert was finished he took the time to show me all of the functions and how to take care of system so it will last as long as possible. While he was here I showed him my yard renovation projects progress and told him I will be calling him to get on the schedule as soon I get the area all ready to go. Honestly, I probably won't ever call a different a plumber again.
