We had a toilet and two faucets replaced. The plumber was very thorough and polite. The work is guaranteed and was done well. He took 6 hours to complete the job which really took us by surprise. I did call to discuss this and the manager was willing to negotiate an hour and a half off, and sent a check to me.

Overall, I am happy with the service and fact that they valued the customer enough to make this concession. I've dealt with other companies who would never budge on a job already paid for. Well done Valley Plumbing!

So I am back to update my review.

After posting our candid review of our experience with Valley Plumbing the owner contacted my husband. We were moving, had a baby, etc. so it took a few weeks for us to get back to him. He called a couple times and was very professional in letting us know he was concerned with our problems and how they responded.

Normally I wouldn't do an update as I think my first reviews are correct BUT this time I am more than happy to update my review.

The owner took the time to listen to our concerns and issues and ask what he could do to make things right. To us there wasn't anything he could do after the fact, we just wanted to voice our experience with his shop.

WELL the next week we get a call from the shop telling us that our part was in!!! Not only did he order the part we were originally trying to get but they didn't bill us for it. WOW, I was impressed as I know it could not have been cheap to do this. They never asked for me to update the review and I feel that they more than deserve a 4 stars for really trying to make things right.

Thanks for really caring about your customers.

This is the same Valley Plumbing that comes out to do service calls on homes, etc. My neighbors said they overcharged for service work and so I have avoided their services in that area. However, I needed to obtain some older style parts for a shower valve that the ""warehouse"" type home improvement stores did not carry. Thus I took my old parts to Valley to see if they had what I needed because I was assured they would after an initial phone call. So I showed up at their store and after a few seconds of looking they told me that my parts were no longer manufactured and that I would have to go in and replace the entire shower valve, they were speaking from some 30+ years of experience, btw. So I then turned down their overpriced bid to come to my house and fix it and ended up purchasing a new valve system from them, tearing out my wall, cutting and sweating copper pipes, cutting tile, and installing the new system (a fairly simple job actually). Then I discover that the cartridge they gave me had a tear and so I thought, hey, I just spent a bunch of money with them and so they will replace this $20 cartridge for me right??? Wrong, they said oh your fine you can just use this one, it has enough grease on it. WOW, scary to think of all the people with pipes that might be leaking inside of their walls because of a tiny gasket problem. And the icing on the cake is, I was in Fremont and visited a HW store off Thornton and Paseo Padre and voila, there were a ton of the valve stems I needed, the ones they told me were no longer manufactured. Needless to say I am never going back to this place and so if you need some help with service as a nooby or with parts as a DIY'er then you should definitely look into some other places that run a more honest and well educated business.

Valley was recommended by our real estate agent after we purchased a home. They arrived on time and fixed a number of problems including a slow drain, relacement of valves and flappers on ""constantly running"" toilets and a shower leak. The plumber worked quickly and efficiently. The only downside is the 1-hour minimum labor charge, but our repairs exceeded that so it wasn't a problem.

I would highly recommend.

Note: unclear if this is the same business as the other ""Valley Plumbing"" on yelp.

People with years of plumbing experience and in dealing with the city building department. We had bids from 3 dif plumbers, all local businesses, and Valley was the only one that did what they said they would do. They came for the est. on time where the other 2 did not. One called after the time they were supposed to come and wanted to reschedule. The other showed up late and I felt like he was just trying to become my new best friend so I would open my pocket book to let him write the check. The other didn't have answers when Valley did. I installed a Rinnia tankless water heater and had our bathroom remodeled. Valley was GREAT. The showroom was very helpful with picking the right materials along with sending me to find things they didn't have to other locations that did. All of their plumbers were clean and neat, cleaning up everyday before they left and keeping me up to date with what was next. City inspector was impressed with their work and made sure to tell me. If they had any problems they handled it quickly. We love our new bathroom and I will tell anyone that asks for a plumber to call Valley Plumbing integrity does come before profit they proved it to me. They came recommended to me from a neighbor, Thank You so much.

I also need to join the ""integrity before profit"" is a joke club. A few months back I called Valley Plumbing to fix a leaky valve in my lawn sprinkler. When the plumber arrived I showed him the leakly valve, in less than 1 minute he fixed the valve -- no parts needed. He said it was a very simple fix if you knew what to look for -- fair enough. He then called in to his office to report that he was done and he asked them if he could just charge me 1/2 of the nornal rate since it literally took 1 minute of his time, I heard him arguing with them on his radio but in the end the back-office folks wouldn't give in and he was forced to charge me over $100 for 60 seconds of work -- he kept apologizing but the back-office staff wouldn't budge -- so much for integrity before profit. Had I known how easy it was to fix the problem I certainly would have done so myself, but since I called them out I think they did deserve some payment for their time, but I think they would have shown more integrity had they agreed with the plumber and maybe taken a little less profit. I've never called them since and I tell this story to all my friends in Pleasanton looking for a plumber.

I'm another in the ""integrity before profit"" is a joke camp. Their plumber came out to fix a hose on my kitchen faucet that was sticking. He spent two hours trying to fix this $75 part then gave up and went to the store to replace it. So, paid for two wasted hours of labor and then had to pay him to go get my part and install it. Was over $400 to fix a sticking hose. And two months later it was sticking again. I called them to discuss the bill and what I felt was gross over-charging. The receptionist seemed to sympathize, but said I'd need to speak with the manager. She took my number and said he'd call me back. He didn't.

Their commercials really piss me off with that slogan now every time I see them.

Called Valley Plumbing about my water heater leakage and they came the same day to replace it. The price they quoted was the price they charged me. To quell my concern about being overcharged the company even sent a plumber to check out the problem. I called another place for a price quote and it would've cost me over $200 more. I was very happy with the service. If I have another plumbing problem I would definitely go back here.

As a professional Concierge I am always looking to my referals for their excellent customer service and Valley Plumbing provided it.

I was referred to Valley Plumbing by another plumber that could not assist my client in the time frame needed. They were prompt, professional and reasonable. My client was thrilled with my recommendation. I will recommened them again!

Their motto is ""Integrity Before Profit"" and they love to recite it to you while you're in the store and give you a little spiel about how honest they are. We had THE WORST experience with this business, and Integrity Before Profit couldn't be further from the truth. The salesperson was so nice and sweet before the sale, and once the sale was complete, customer service was a nightmare. The installation cost came out to way more than was estimated. The quality of work was poor and required repeated follow-up visits. We found another plumber through Yelp and couldn't be happier with them. Lesson learned -- check Yelp first!!
