I had a clogged drain 6 months ago and the team who came out was great. I couldn't remember their name so I went onto Yelp & called another service and a tech came out this morning (they won't give estimates over the phone). I had asked the tech to look at two drains - one in need of immediate service and the other that could eventually start clogging from hair, etc. The tech said he could offer both for the discounted rate of $500, down from $600. I said I'd consider it.

I then found the previous plumbers - Valley of the Moon Plumbing, and Alan, who quoted over the phone $75 if no tools needed, $150 w/tools. On-site he told me the issue & quoted around $200 to replace the main drain I was concerned about after his suggestion of trying a work-around - he didn't charge me for the visit.

My previous experience with Valley of the Moon Plumbing was great. And this one only elevated my appreciation for their expertise, professionalism, cost-structure and honesty.

Alan contacted me and wanted to make things right. He assured me that they have improved and now have a top notch guy for new construction projects. These guys are crooks! They came out to my house to fix a leak from my upstairs shower, which was leaking into my kitchen downstairs. After they had left the leak continued. Spent over a week trying to contact them and was continually ignored until I added my landlord on to the text message. They came out and said ""everything is fine"" though the ceiling was still leaking. They were rude to me and tried to make me feel as though I was crazy and that I was totally inconveniencing them. They refused to fix the leak. I'm guessing since they were already paid, they didn't care. Then they ghosted me and my landlord and disappeared and stopped responding to us. Don't trust them!! They are dishonest.

I have used Valley of the Moon plumbing twice now, and have been very pleased with both experiences.

Alan (who I believe is the owner or one of the owners) was incredibly friendly and professional.

First job was unclogging the worst bathroom sink clogging I have ever seen. They got it done and the price was fair and comparable to the other quotes I got. The second job was helping me install a new water heater.

I called Valley of the Moon Plumbing for help with an outdoor fireplace gas line. I inserted the key into the key hole but it just kept spinning and not turning on the gas to the fireplace. This was not my home, but a good friends, so I wanted to do him a favor by fixing the problem. I called Allan and explained my situation. He made an appointment for me but also suggested while waiting for him to come I should check the gas line key. He explained gas valves like that have a 5/16th and a 1/4"" fitting. He suggested I check that the key was the correct size. Well I took his advice and yes the wrong size key was being used. I purchased a universal key and it worked perfectly. I guess my point of this post is Allan could have kept that info to himself, came to the appointment and charged me for his service. Instead he provided me with info that saved me more than the $12 gas key. I appreciate his honesty and integrity. I will definitely call him when I have plumbing needs.
