I called about a pilot light that was out on my hot water heater. I had tried to fix it myself, unsuccessfully. VOM sent someone over immediately (thank you VOM for being open on weekends). I misunderstood the cost, so when Dominic arrived and told me the REAL cost, I wanted to cancel and find someone on Next Door to help me. Dominic called his boss, and he agreed to a VERY VERY fair compromise (more than fair - KIND). Dominic quickly lit the pilot and clearly explained to me how to do it if it happened again along with a couple of other tips. Dominic was EXTREMELY polite, professional and knowledgeable. I wish I could hire him to be my grandson LOL.

We hired these guys about 3 years ago when we need to replace a leaky spigot in the yard and they came out and did a great job. But the 5 stars is because of this: we had Moore install our new gas fire-pit at about the same time. It was the type where you had to manually turn on the gas, which meant getting down on the ground and after 3 years we decided to upgrade to an electrical starter. Now, mind you, we knew when we originally installed it that we might do this so we had run all of the electrical to the pit and it was in place. But MHS said ""No way, they won't hook up the new electrical start fire pit ring to the gas line that they installed."" So, we thought ""Damn, what plumbing company works on gas?"" We remembered VOM plumbing, called them, they sent out the two nicest guys (Devin & Dominique, I think) and they replaced the part in 1 hour! We love these guys and this company. Definitely consider them for plumbing water and gas.

Dave and his crew are amazing! I had a leaking shower faucet, so I called him up and within a couple of hours he had someone out to my place and fixing up the leak! They were super helpful and mindful about coming in and out of the house during the rain to make sure not to track mud. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing plumbing!!

I called about a clogged sewer pipe in the morning and by early afternoon it was all taken care of! I appreciated the really fast response to my call and that the work was done on the same day. The worker who came out arrived wearing a mask and was really friendly and helpful, and worked VERY efficiently. I highly recommend Valley of the Moon Plumbing!!

I hired Valley of the Moon Plumbing (VOMP) to replace my sewer line. Dave recommended someone to dig the line, whom I used and they were terrific. The problems arose when they accidentally broke my water main. I called Dave (3x) thinking they worked for him. Apparently not, but he never said that in the beginning. Then Dave said he was too busy and couldn't come out to fix it for 3 days and that I had to find a plumber to fix it. So now I was left scrambling to find someone to fix a water main, to no avail. Finally, my brother patched it as I would have had no water for 3 days. After the guys finished digging, Dave could not come out for a week so the ditch sat there wide open. Dave also wanted me to measure the line for him and send him pictures so he knew how much pipe to bring, which I did. This seems odd to me, but then again I have never replaced a sewer line before.

When we chatted a few days before he came, Dave told me I needed gravel, again, surprise! I talked to him about fixing the water main and he said he would and put the figure in the bid. When he did come out, he didn't introduce himself and I thought he was an employee. We were chatting about the water line and when I mentioned it was included in the bid, Dave finally told me who he was and that he had NOT put it in the bid and that fixing it would be extra. Surprise, again. He looked at the patch and said it was fine and it didn't need to be replaced. When I questioned that, thinking it was just a patch, he argued with me and it quickly became apparent he didn't want to fix it. So my copper pipe is cobbled together with Sharkbite. I hope that is OK.

I am neither not recommending nor recommending Dave at VOMP, I am just describing my experience so readers can make up their own minds.
