Urban Design Solar is a wonderful local company that I would highly recommend for your solar needs. They are the most economical (yes, I got a few bids before choosing them), but the lower price does not equal lower quality; the products they use are top notch. There is real-time system monitoring that comes with the panels, too. In addition, they are efficient, well organized, and their customer service is great. They take care of the whole process from start to finish--from paperwork and permits to clean-up--so all you have to do is sign and pay. They were even able to help me with the side project of turning the useless space under our attic (which had no access) into a functioning storage area--an added bonus! I have been recommending Urban Design to friends, and now that it is time to expand out system, I'm working with them again.

They put solar on my office building. Honest, great work, great results. I would highly recommend them. They came out for a follow up visit today, about six months after install, to see how I was doing with the solar. Spent time with me to refresh my knowledge of the monitoring systems. Great people. Where do I start? This is my second solar project I have purchased for my second home. I used Sun Power (Alternative Energy Solutions) for my first house. At the time they did a great job and were the most competitive. This time I needed something bigger, more complex, and needed to have it come in under a certain budget. Long story short I shopped 4 different companies and it came down to AES and Urban Design. I have to say Urban Design was awesome! AES felt like they were pressuring me though to buy something I didn't need or their product was not represented accurately. (Ex our panels are better than theirs..... uh no that's not true). Urban Design matched everyone's prices and promises beating all the competitors as far as price, solar performance, and follow up on warranty. We are very pleased with the final project. Urban design staff were also very professional and followed through on everything we asked for. This system is awesome!!!!! Feel free to contact me and I'll show you my solar system in action. I love tracking it via my iPhone and am thrilled that my PGE bills are a thing of the past. Do yourself a favor and buy your system don't rent one no matter how good it sounds.....renting is just giving others your space rent free.

I have had several contractors work on my house and this has by far been my best experience. I got several quotes for the job, and this was the best value when comparing systems, the installation was done quickly, and I did have some post installation questions and an issue and the customer service has been prompt and satisfactory. I rarely rave about contractor work but having just gone live with a 44 panel ground mount system by Urban I will. Great communication, on time, no nickel and dime, on budget and a great crew to work with. Professional all the way. I highly recommend Sean and his great staff.
