Urban Design rip off. They sold us a Generac backup system for our whole house and solar. 
My advice is to find another company unless you want to pay more. We feel we were horribly taken advantage of, here is our story. Right from the beginning they were deceptive about the rebate we were going to receive. BEWARE ... your rebate does not come in all at once it dribbles in over the next couple of years so as to keep your payments the same for the life of the loan your rebate must be sent to the finance company (which they picked for us) one year later or your monthly payments will go up. Our rebate was $10,000 where in the ... are we going to get that kind of money (retired) at once.

After about a year we had a little incident which damaged the outer case only of the Generac.
They charged us $4000 to replace the case, I thought... you can almost buy another system for that price. After we put half down I then began to look into the real cost by getting quotes founding out ( I called the manufacture ) the case should have only cost anywhere from $900 to $1000 the most, they charged $2665 and labor anywhere from $50-$100 per hour. They spent 5 maybe 6 hours the most, giving them the highest price for labor would be $600 they charged $1080, two other parts costing $63. When starting the repair they discovered a crack in a hose so they went to order it and wanted to charge for a service call on something THEY missed.

Upon having to pay the balance we asked why so High and they said there were a bunch of other parts???? and did not have a list to give us only excuses.

Performed requested service of installing the gas shut off valve for my dryer and installed the dryer for the price quoted. Brian was quick and a very easy person to deal with. The price was reasonable. I would recommend this company for your plumbing needs.

This is for anyone looking for a plumber. This company has technicians that are not trained to replace a thermal coupler in a hot water heater. My tech looked at my heater took a picture and went to truck for 30mins to review a You tube video. When he saw that I saw what he was doing . He said "" man to man I don't really know how to replace this part so I review videos to figure it out. He didn't bring parts to fix it even thoughi told them what was not working. After fumbling with the heater for two hours with parts that weren't made for this heater he sealed it up with my old parts and then tried to light the pilot. He had me contractually sign for it to repair for 175 dollars. Then told me to get a part and FIX IT myself. WoW.

I'm in the middle of getting solar panels during this super hectic time of NEM2 pricing going to the more expensive NEM3. Every Urban designs representative have been amazing, super cooperative and patient with my repeated phone calls and emails. Their pricing was fair, gave me the perfect design location of the panels. The site walk employee was on my roof for an hour in absolute pouring rain and still had a smile on his face when he finished. Once I had the employee's cell phone numbers communication was perfect... their generic phone number system is annoying using a third party that asks so many questions every time you call - they are being slammed with business so I'll cut them so slack here!
I'll update my review once the panels get installed.

From our initial meeting with the owner, to final notification, every single step was easy, every question answered, every single person was professional and kind.

Install to sign off with PGE was 2 weeks. Done. The install took 3 days, county inspection was the very next day, PGE signed off the next week. So fast.

The office staff, the crew of guys on the roof, the owner, every single one of them was outstanding to work with. (Mackenzie, Natalie, Aliza, Cody, and Chad were rockstars!) Sean hires good people because HE is good people!

And the price. They beat 3 other bids for MORE panels than others were offering. They are honest! They wont try to upsell you equipment you don't need. They don't use fear to sell the company.

Urban design definitely doesn't mess around with their attention to detail and construction expertise. I have used MB in the past and it was great, they have now merged with Urban Design and pricing has changed. Apparently you have to pay for when they aren't even at your house and go back to their site to pick up a part... A part that they probably should have had on hand. Ridiculous. My future business is lost
