Lane M.I had the pleasure of using Up to Code Plumbing for a new faucet. Eric worked real hard to ensure that the job was done right. I love my new faucet as I had lived so long with one that had been dripping. I feel that Up to Code Plumbing takes the customer's point of view to heart along with good plumbing practice. Thank you Eric and Up to Code
Jennifer T.We had to open a home warranty for our leaking water heater, which on day 1 of having our house keys after close of escrow, we noticed was failing. No hot water either. The warranty company sent out Josh from Up to Code to diagnose the situation. He was very professional, quick, and discussed what was needed to get ""up to code,"" per requirements of the home warranty company. The home warranty company won't pay to bring the water heater up to code, which I think is bizarre, but either way, Josh was honest, kind, friendly, and quick. Our pilot was out, there was a ton of rust, and the leak was no bueno.
He informed his company right away, what our diagnosis was, and the water heater was replaced the same day! Impressive for an insurance-contracted company, we figured it may take much longer! The company talked with our home warranty company right away and Amanda from Up To Code was quick to call me and arrange for the work to be done, A WHOLE DAY FASTER than it took for the insurance to get back to me! By the time First American Home Warranty called me, we already had a brand new working hot hot water heater!
Thanks Josh + Up to Code!
Josh was great and very informative. He told me exactly what to do and squeezed me in and came the next day to fix our leak. He was awesome and even cleaned up the mess. He was very patient and even loved my dogs who seem to get in the way.
Chris D.Our family has used this company for the last ten years. They have done all kinds of jobs for us including a complete re-pipe of our house. Eric does quality work and at a very reasonable price. If your looking for a knowledgeable plumber who is trustworthy and gets the job done right the 1st time this is your plumber.
Hasnain K.Great service, great attitude and great timing. We called Old Republic Home Protection at 9am, this company called right away and showed up at 10am. Eric turns out to be the owner operator, and got the work done right away. There was some additional work that came up as well from our call, and he was able to get that taken care of also. 2 angel stops and a new garbage disposal were already in his big truck. He is really professional, wears his company gear and knows what he is doing. Thank you Eric, thank you Up To Code Plumbing and thank you Old Republic Home Protection. This service was awesome.

Now I understand why these guys get such lousy reviews - blatantly lying and submitting false claims will do that to you.
Our home insurance company, American Home Shield, assigned this company to us after we called to have our water heater inspected. After reading the Yelp reviews, we decided to cancel the appointment. Shortly thereafter, we received an invoice from AHS for a service fee because AHS had received a claim from Up To Code that they had conducted a site visit, even though they had NOT. They'd filed a false claim, lied to me about calling AHS to correct the issue and been unresponsive to AHS's multiple calls to straighten out the issue. Only after another month was someone from AHS finally able to get them on the phone, after which they admitted they'd sent the claim ""in error."" Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend against using them - and against AHS recommending them to anyone else.
wilson q.I was assigned this company from American Home Shield (insurance), AHS. The call was placed with AHS on Monday, Nov 23.
Tuesday, Nov 24, Up To Code (UP) came out to look at the hot water heater, and determined that it needed replacement. The plumber told me that he had to submit a report to AHS, who will then determine if UP would get a hot water heater from AHS suppliers or UP would source it locally.
Wed. Nov 25: I called and talked to Amanda at UP. ""we'll submit the work order today"". But they did not call in the report to AHS, which was required because only AHS can approve a new hot water heater.
Thurs. Nov 26, Thanksgiving day. Ok, nobody works today.
Fri, Nov 27, I call UP and talk to Amanda. She apologizes and says she will send out the work order to AHS today. But again, she did not according to AHS Kanesha, who even called UP to follow up. Amanda said she would call me back after the report was submitted to AHS. No follow up call received. She dropped the ball.....again.
Sat: Nov 28: I call UP at 11 AM. Nobody answers the phone. I'm still without hot water since Monday. I called AHS and talked to Valerie, and she told me that they had not received a work order from UP. She would ""escalate"" my case to Contractor Relations for my region.
Sun, Nov 29, AHS calls me and said that they got the work order from UP and told me that in addition to the $125 call out charge, I would have to pay about $300 in charges for a drip pipe, drip pan, and other modifications that were not covered by the insurance.
Wed, Dec 2, Josh from UP came out with a new hot water heater and made the repairs with all the required modifications. Actually I thought he did a professional job. The heater was supplied by AHS and carried a 6 year warranty.
Summary: from first call to AHS to hot water restored: 9 days. Cost: $425.00. I think that if UP had sent their report to AHS a few days sooner, I might have had my hot water restored sooner.
Debbie G.Was prompt and even though it was through ahs policy they replaced the whole left part of the drain. Left the place clean. I would recommend.
Marie P.I had this company assigned to me through AHS. I had a plumbing emergency where my toilets backed up and sewage went into one shower. Their plumber Josh came and tried to snake the back up from all lines, with no avail. He told me I would probably need a pipe replaced but since my house was on a cement slab they'd need to break through my floor, and such. He wanted to send a camera down but he didn't have one and said he'd be back the next day. When he left, he left the mess he made too.. I followed up the day after after not hearing back, their secretary didn't know what was going on and said she'd call back- never did. Followed up the day after that with the same run around. With no working plumbing for 2 days I sucked it up and hired my own plumber who quickly realized my pipes just needed to be hydro- jetted and fixed the back up in less than an hour. I also had to get them to re-attach my toilet since he kept it unattached. It's been a month and I never heard back from up to code. Extremely unprofessional in every aspect.
Jason B.I was lucky enough to have Up To Code Plumbing assigned to my leaking drain line years ago at my rental property. Eric showed up and took care of everything. Since then I've used them many times on my properties and I've always been happy with the work they do.
