I experienced two major plumbing issues.
First, a toilet leak in a downstairs bathroom.
Second, a 17 year old water heater in the garage began leaking through the garage and bedroom walls! Contacted my home warranty company American Home Shield (AHS) who assigned Up To Code Plumbing. I always research contractors assigned by AHS before any work is done in my home. Based on my research and on previous Yelp reviews, I requested Eric for the job. Eric arrived early, diagnosed the leak, confirmed it was covered by AHS, and within a few days returned with Eduardo, worked quickly and efficiently, repaired the leak as well as repairing worn master bath faucets. Due to pandemic, it did take extra time for parts to arrive but his solid work ethic was well worth it!

Just a few weeks later, I had a major leak in a 17 year old water heater in my garage. Based on the impeccable work by Eric on my toilet leak, I again requested him for this repair. Within 48 hours, Eric arrived, diagnosed the leak, removed the water heater, set up a new heater in a temporary space in the garage, and notified I need water mitigation services before installing a new water heater to current code. These services were completed and Eric successfully installed a new water heater to code on a metal platform.
I've seen the negative reviews yet despite them and based on the professional approach and experience from Eric to my two jobs, I recommend Up To Code for your plumbing needs!

Selected Up To Code Plumbing after reviewing Yelp reviews. I first used the company after getting several quotes on a water heater. Up To Code Plumbing had the best rated heater for the most reasonable overall price with installation so I went with them. Eric installed the heater. I was so impressed by his plumbing knowledge, courtesy, and especially fair pricing that I have used the company for a variety of other plumbing problems including snaking clogs, installing piping, fixing faucets and valve leaks for my home and rental property. This company has thus far consistently resolved all plumbing problems, had the most fair quote, went out of their way to address some problems to my schedule even on weekends and late hours. A few times over the years I used other companies which failed to find or fix the plumbing problem so I called Up To Code Plumbing and was surprised and relieved that Eric and his crew had the specialized knowledge needed to resolve these problems.

Josh showed up to our house because our water heater blew up.
Almost exactly 48 hours later we had a brand new water heater installed and running with extra modifications to make it safer and more efficient, like routing the pane underneath to the outside of the house instead of inside the garage like the previous plumber did.

We were ready to dive into ripping up the floor to repair our kitchen sink, in slab drainage system based on another plumber's diagnosis. I'm glad we chose to get a second opinion. Josh showed up on time, in a mask, was friendly and professional. Best of all, he was able to snake the drain successfully. He cleared the blockage but continued running the snake as far as possible. Just used Up To Code Plumbing. JOSH came out to my house and just by looking at the wall knew what kind of pipe was inside the wall. He opened up the wall and quickly diagnosed the problem and what had to be done.

He had great attention to detail and made sure it was done right. He triple checked his work and showed me the problem and keep me in the ""loop"" of what needed to be done. There were no surprise which was nice.

Overall my experience with up to code plumbing was great. Josh even made sure no dirt, water, or anything was left behind.

We had a couple issues they looked at for us.
A small fresh water leak and a sewage pump that needed replaced.
Eduardo did a great job with the fresh water leak and at a reasonable price. He was a pleasure to work with.
However, they gave me the runaround for a couple weeks with with the sewage pump until I finally called someone else who came and did the work the same day.
Just getting an invoice from them for the small $175 repair was a pain.
