Universal Plumbing is hands down the best plumbing company and subcontractor/vendor I have ever used. They will be the only plumbing company I use going forward.

I have done large scale house and apartment remodels and thus have a lot of experience working with general contractors and subcontractors. As is often the case, I have had a lot of bad experiences working with contractors as many are unethical, they do not finish on time, they are greedy, and they do not show care for their work. Universal Plumbing is NOT like any other vendor I have worked with and they are EXCELLENT. They are ethical, fair, have excellent customer service, and they finished their project on time!

I hired Universal Plumbing to fix a water heater issue the general contractor I had hired caused. The problem was that my general contractor had overloaded my electrical panel by installing electric tankless water heaters and rerouted my plumbing and electrical to a new location where the general contractor had installed the tankless water heaters. The only remedy for this problem was to install full size water heaters that draw significantly less power. While this may seem like an easy thing to do, it's quite difficult when a 6 unit apartment building has been fully remodeled with custom cabinets and counters and all of the walls have been patched and painted. I called Universal Plumbing to advise on how to fix my problem and to quote the project. Angel showed up the same day that I called Universal Plumbing. He was very knowledgeable in analyzing my existing plumbing, identifying locations for the new water heaters, explaining how they would run the plumbing, and providing options for where I could place the new water heaters. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable, he was very courteous, professional, and likable. He provided me a quote within 2 days and he and I had literally several hours of conversation after I got the quote as I had a lot of questions. Since I have had so many bad experiences with contractors, I had a lot of questions for Angel as I wanted to get a better feel for his character, I wanted to understand who would be working on my project, how payments would be structured, and how long the project would take. He was very polite and addressed all of my concerns. From our conversations, I felt very comfortable hiring Universal Plumbing.

Universal Plumbing installed 6 water heaters, connected all of the plumbing, patched and painted all of the openings that were made, and even touched up with paint exterior and interior walls for me that was unrelated to their work. They had a crew of 2-4 people working daily (including weekends) and Angel updated me on the status of the project on a daily basis. Once the work was completed, we discovered that the sinks and shower faucets my GC had installed (well before Universal began their work) had a design flaw and thus water pressure and temperature were not optimal (this problem was unrelated to any of the work Universal Plumbing had done for me). When I told Angel about the problem, he came the same day with a crew of 2 additional people, and they took apart every fixture I had in all 6 apartment units and made some adjustments to fix the issues. He and his crew worked from 6pm until 11pm at night that day to fix these issues that were unrelated to any of the work they had originally done. Angel wanted me to have all the apartment units working to my satisfaction ASAP so I could lease them and thus he went the extra mile to make sure everything was working the way I wanted them to. In addition to working until 11pm to fix the problem, he didn't even charge me for the additional work. Universal Plumbing went the extra mile to make sure I am a happy customer and they couldn't have done a better job.

Every person I have interacted with at the company has been excellent - Gustavo, Benito, Ruben, Miguel, Cheecho, and others - and I couldn't be any happier with the work they have done. I highly recommend them to everyone and I really hope this post will convince others to use Universal Plumbing as well. If there was a way to give Universal Plumbing more than 5 stars on Yelp I would because I have given 5 stars to companies that I thought were good but now I know how an excellent company operates! Thank you Universal Plumbing for all of your hard work.

Okay so these guys saved my life. I mean, maybe not literally, but close enough. I had a minor kitchen disaster on my hands after my garbage disposal clogged and I unsuccessfully tried to fix it with draino -- which only led to a sink full of standing water and draino, the fumes of which were starting to spread through the house. Like a fool, I then tried to run the dishwasher which only made everything worse. I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep with the kitchen in this state, so I took it upon myself to find a 24 hour plumber.

Well after calls to two other places who claimed to be 24/7 but then said they were booked til tomorrow -- Angel at Universal Plumbing answered my call (yes, his name was actually Angel, and no I'm not ashamed to say it was like a miracle). Less than thirty minutes later, one of his technicians, a lovely man named Ruben, was at my door. Within the hour, my sink was unclogged, my garbage disposal was working again and all was right with the world (well not the world, but my kitchen at least). And for what it's worth it didn't cost an arm and a leg either. They have an additional service charge when it's after hours but their prices are more than reasonable.

Universal Plumbing will forever be in my book as not just great plumbers, but the life saving kind!!

Don't believe the online booking. I made an appointment at 11 am for 1 to 3 the same day, got an email confirmation and then they called at 2 pm and said they couldn't come until 2 days later. Some else called to sa wasn't their fault

I can't comment on their service because I felt that was unacceptable

Chris came with an assistant and they unblocked the pipe from my laundry. They did the job and were really courteous and professional. I'd absolutely call them again for any plumbing work.

Have used Universal Plumbing at our home twice now to fix a septic tank, each time Angel was on time, incredibly professional and personable and got the problem fixed in a timely manner, even when it proved to be a bigger job than expected! The crew (Angel and George) cleaned up afterwards leaving the bathroom spotless. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

Universal installed our Tankless hot water heater 5 months ago. They arrived on time and completed the job professionally and thoroughly. It has worked beautifully over the last months until our painters covered it while painting. Suddenly no hot water. I called Universal, Angel arrived right away, and fixed the problem. Now i know why this company has sooooo many 5 stars! I called them to check on the main water valve. Someone, incl the water dept person, told me i should have this valved fixed because it could cause a huge problem and water would be leaking all over. Met with Chris and he gave me all the information i needed to be informed about how valve works. Also, the valve was not broken and the last plumber didn't even check it and gave me a $1000 quote...double this company if it was broken!!! Chris explained that the knob can turn and turn and turn before it actually stops...good to know!! You have to appreciate a company that is that honest! So, 5 stars for them and when I need a plumber, I'll ask for Chris. Thanks!
