Once again Universal Plumbing gets a hats off and a hear-hear! I had to have major surgery on my shower pipes. I knew the pipes were older than Methuselah when I bought my crib 14 years ago and I knew the day would come when the pipes would fall down dead. And they did--along with the drain lever--right when I was about to shower and head to work. They were booked solid that day but Esther promised to call if there was a cancellation. So, I booked for the next day. Solomon arrived when he said he would and took video of the damage underneath on his iPhone. Sure enough, it was the ugly, rusty hot mess I'd expected. I agreed to let them get busy and scheduled a day at my earliest convenience. In short, Solomon and Jose arrived today at the time we'd selected and I tell ya, they are simply awesome. They took their time and got the job done. They even threw in a new shower head and shower knobs at no extra cost. They were very professional and courteous. Solomon showed me what they did underneath and explained everything in detail. This is the third time I have used Universal Plumbing and I love the level of professionalism they maintain each time out. I am simply giddy with excitement! Word!

Fantastic service-- highly recommend! I had the 9-11 window today, and at 10:30, the scheduling department called me to ask if the plumber could come a bit later because he was still at another job. I really appreciated that-- so many times I've been waiting on services that were running late and never called, so that was very cool.

Oscar ended up only being 30 minutes past my scheduled window. He was very polite and professional. He fixed my shower quickly-- it had been suddenly pouring out scalding water, and I couldn't take a shower without burning myself. He also showed me a few things I didn't know about on my water heater, installed a new bath faucet, and fixed my running toilet-- ALL in less than an hour. So happy! It only cost me $75, which was a surprise, as I thought it would likely be much more.

I will definitely call them again, should the occasion ever arise.

Angel and Ben came to perform a plumbing inspection and assess the sump pump for a home we are closing on. They were great! Very thorough, explained things in a way that a non-plumber could understand. They took the time to make sure everything was checked out properly and made fair and honest recommendations. The sump pump took awhile to figure out, but Angel did a fantastic job troubleshooting, fixed some wire connections and filled it with water to make sure it was working.

They were on site for quite awhile, and ended up running late to their next appointment, but I was grateful for all the time they spent on the house to make sure we had all the information that we needed as part of our due diligence. Will definitely be using Universal Plumbing for my future plumbing needs!

A few years ago, as a new homeowners, I called one of the ""name brand"" plumbing companies when we had our first major plumbing problem. Since my family was new to the area, and since it was an emergency, we really didn't know where to turn. Well that was a mistake! Not only do they overcharge, but the name brand company often recommends services that you don't necessarily need for a HUGE charge.

Thank goodness that for this recent plumbing issue, I researched local businesses on yelp and came across all the STELLAR reviews about Universal Plumbing. And they are indeed worthy of every 5-star review !

I live hillside, and have the issue of roots clogging the pipes about every two years. Well this time around, not only was there a root issue, there was also a cracked pipe that was leaking water under our home. When I called Universal, they sent their guys to my home right away- even arrived 15 minutes earlier than estimated.

Chris and Oscar worked diligently and efficiently to replace our improperly installed old pipe and assured us that not only would they get the pipe replaced correctly, but they'd also make sure to snake the pipes, and clear some roots, so we wouldn't have any more back up issues. When the initial snake they had was not the right size for our pipes, they called in another employee, Jim, and he came to the house very quickly. Since they had already removed our toilet in order to snake the main pipeline, they were very mindful about not prolonging the inconvenience.

I truly appreciated how well they worked. They have a tough job; having to crawl under homes, and deal with sewer and sludge issues every day, I mean that can't be too fun. But they are all were very professional, kind, knowledgeable and were very customer orientated. They really went out of their way to make sure we were getting the quality service that they exemplify.

I was extremely pleased by the exemplary service I received from Universal and will absolutely make them my ONLY choice for all my future plumbing needs. I HIGHLY recommend this company.

Angel and his team did a good job of replacing a huge water heater at our lease.

5 stars for putting plastic down to protect the new unit going up the stairs and for removing the old unit over the ledge so as not to damage the property.

Universal Plumbing gets a 1 star for the scheduling and follow-up communication. I was given a window of 12-4pm. Landlord kept texting and calling them until 6pm, asking where their crew was, and was anyone going to show up that day. Was told at 6pm that they were 15 minutes away. Crew arrived at 8pm instead!! They worked on the unit and left at 12:40am the next day - yup, past midnight. While I appreciate that they stayed to get the job done, I was livid that I had cancelled some business meetings that day just to wait for them - all day. Angel was apologetic for the schedule and communication mishap, but it was still a big fat middle finger of disrespect to my time and job.

The next time the landlord called them for repairs to a leaky kitchen sink, Universal Plumbing never even returned the landlord's calls. I guess business is booming and it's a vendor's market.

Jose and Bill showed up on time. They were both very courteous and patient with our plumbing problem. We had quite a difficult clog in our pipes, and they kept at it for several hours. I really appreciated how they weren't trying to just upsell and just do the most expensive process. They quoted a price and stuck to it, even when the job turned out to be tougher than we all anticipated.

I would definitely use them again.

It took awhile for them to call me back but the plumbers they sent over where really nice. They troubleshot my reverse osmosis filter but didin't charge me for their time. I will call them again.

Angel and his team are incredibly honest and hard working. Although the job took a couple of visits, my plumbing issues were solved. I could not ask for a better experience. If you want to support real deal small businesses that give you top level service, look no further. These guys are great.
