Recommended Customer Reviews

Excellent service and really appreciate it. Always respond with great Costumer Service. Thanks

Terrible service, constant pushbacks on confirmed appointments. My apartment complex uses this company and they've missed 3 different appointments in the last week and another one this morning to replace the ac unit currently installed in my apartment. If you have any other choice, take your business elsewhere.

I have used U.S. Heating & Air for years, but will not do so again. A few days ago, I had my 2 ac units serviced, was told that they looked good and were in good working order. I subsequently purchased different sized ac filter, at the suggestion of the technician, but was unable to replace because the screws on the air handler were tightened to extreme. One unit has stopped working days after being serviced and the company wants to charge me an $97 service fee, for something it's tech likely did. I left a message for the Manager, with no returned call.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! Don't use these people. The only thing worse than their work is their customer service. The only reason I used them is because they are contracted through my home warranty company. They came out initially last Friday because we had been having issues with flickering lights and then our AC and dryer wouldn't work. When they came out I showed the tech the issue as pointed out by the power company, a burnt out lug (or something like that) in the meter. He looked inside and out and then told me he was not comfortable turning on my power and that he couldn't fix the issue that day. We were going to be out of town for the weekend already so I wasn't too concerned. They scheduled us for the """"first appointment"""" on Monday and I later called the office to get clarification of just what time they would be there and was told 8am. I took the day off work and I rushed home (we stayed at a relatives since we didn't have electricity) to be there for the 8am appointment. At about 8:40, after no one showed and no one from the company called I called the office and a not so friendly woman told me the tech was on his way and should be at my house within 20 mins (so 9am, not 8 as I had been told). The same tech came out and spent the first hour getting the low down on another techs weekend before he got started. Finally at 3pm, they finished wiring from the main line to the panel and we flipped the switch and the house came to life, all except the dryer. He left and everything seemed fine until later last night when the lights started to flicker when the AC went on. Thinking it was just an issue with the AC, we shut it off. But the flickering continued and then our house went dark. We checked the panel and to my surprise nothing was tripped, which concerned me. How in the world did our lights and electricity stop and yet it looks like everything is fine. It was then I started to get concerned about safety, especially when my bedside lamp flickered on and off, even though it was switched off. I noticed some things were still on and working, our fridge and an outlet charging my cell phone. I called USHAC and their answering service told me they would relay the message and someone would call me right back. 30 minutes later, we still had yet to get a call back. I again called the answering service and about 15 mins later I received a call back. The woman didn't seem to know what she was doing though. She kept asking me to repeat my experience and it sounded like she was writing it word for word. She said she would have a tech out to us, but that he was located in Winter Springs, so it would take 30 mins for him to get to us. Over an hour later someone arrived and proceeded to talk on his cell phone for another 30 mins in my front yard before coming in (still on the phone and telling someone in Spanish that he was at work). Super unprofessional and rude. He looked at the work that had been done thoroughly and said he could not get our electricity back on because they hadn't replaced the part in the meter I originally pointed out. He said someone would be out first thing in the morning to replace it, but again, no one came by or called. I finally called them and the dispatcher said she didn't have any knowledge of the issue and would call me back. 30 mins later she still had not called me back, so I called her. They dispatched someone with the part we needed and finally 5 days after I reported the issue it was fixed. I am not sure how companies with bad customer service and who don't fix issues the first time stay in business. Do yourself a favor and use another company.

We have used US Heat & Air for over 5 years now. We have 2 rentals and our personal home. I believe they have gotten too big and don't care any longer about serving their long time customers. I had an emergency situation arise with a rental property on a Monday (6/4/18). I called until 9:30 am and constantly got the answering service. I was told that twice they left a message for someone to return my call. I finally called Service One who was extremely helpful and got someone out that day! USHA now told me that they were transitioning their system and phone lines were dropped. The answering service should have known that and I've still not received a call from them. I did call in my complaint today personally to them. Poor business practice. They want my business but did nothing to make this matter up to me by offering me anything.

United States Heating & Air Conditioning came to our home and gave us an estimate to have our A/C ducts replaced. We agreed on a price and a date to do the work. They agreed to complete duct replacement, install new boxes and flex, install new active returns in each room on the left side. They also told us that the return in husbands' office to be larger, recommend a new electronic air cleaner and replace existing return run. They returned and did the work on 5/17/2023 and we paid in full on that day. On 9/28/2023, we called them about insulation in the duct work and that our A/C unit was frozen. They came out and repaired the TXV valve and removed some insulation from the bottom of the air handler. We told the technician that all the vents in the house were full of insulation and that this didn't seem normal to us. I then called and spoke with """"Marie"""" about the insulation and that we needed to have the ducts cleaned out because this could be causing problems with the Air Handler. Marie then told me that we would need to pay to have the ducts cleaned. I told her that it has been this way from the beginning and asked why would I pay to have new air ducts cleaned when they are new? She sent out a technician who verified that the ducts were indeed full of insulation. After a week of back and forth, they agreed to come and clean the ducts and remove insulation from the air handler. Fast forward to 1/17/2024, we had our annual Air conditioning maintenance done. While the technician was here, we asked them if they could check to see why the 3 bedrooms were still warm even if we just had new vents and returns installed. The tech went into the attic and discovered that many of the ducts weren't installed correctly and that much of the work that was done was below Orange County standards (not up to code). I then learned that United States Heating & Air did not pull a permit for the duct replacement. The terrible work with the install and the fact that they weren't careful and allowed a large amount of blown in insulation to get into the ducts: subsequently, it caused the Air handler to have a restricted flow that caused the TXV valve to fail and then they charged us almost $1,000.00 for the damage that their poor workmanship caused. Also, the other A/C company told us that the return flex ducts were not put in the correct position and are too small. They were not hooked up on top of the mixing boxes, it needs to have caps holes with fab and mastic. The flex runs need to be strapped up. They said all ducts need to be sealed to drywall and should have been done when the duct system was replaced. They took pictures of the duct flex that are laying on insulation in attic, and some have a lot of extra flex on them which will slow the air flow down. They need to be straight flex and strap up all the flex runs. There is also no insulation around supply and return air drops in attic. It needs to be more insulation added in low areas and around drops. All that should have been caught by the inspection if a permit was pulled like it is required. I called and spoke with Marie on 1/17/2023 and went through the many problems we have had with regards to their service and installation. I then asked to speak to the General manager, she told me they were out on vacation until Monday and asked that I send an email to customer service, and they would get back to me. I didn't hear anything back from Marie, or the general manager. I called again on the 1/26/2023 to ask about an update and she told me that the Manager had received the email but had not given any information on what they were going to do. Marie told me that she would call them and get back to me. As of today 1/31/2023, I had to call again, and this time spoke to a different person who told me that Marie was in a meeting. I asked the receptionist if I could talk to the general manager, and she told me that low in behold that Marie was the general manager and that there was no one higher than her. This means that Marie has been deceiving me the whole time and stringing me along with no intention of solving this problem. I can't tell you how concerning this is that the leadership of this company would deliberately deceive its customers. I would hope that no one else will consider using them in the future and to be aware of their deceptive technics and poor work ethics.

My home warranty company contracted this company to check out a leak underneath my house. Someone from U.S. Heating and Air Conditioning called within 15 minutes to schedule an inspection between 10am and 3pm, and they said they would call when they were an hour away. Someone called half an hour later to say they would be there within 45 minutes. When the technician arrived he assessed the leak by crawling underneath the house, then he repaired the leak by accessing the bathroom plumbing through the adjacent wall in a bedroom closet. It took about an hour to repair the leak and he showed me the pipes he had replaced. He also explained that there was standing water under the house and the boards beneath the floor were black, so he suggested someone should check out the house for mold. It has turned out to be a bit of a mess, but the tech was just great about showing up, not keeping me waiting, making the repairs, and cleaning up after himself. The company is licensed contractors for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs and they offer 24 hour emergency service. The tech also said to call back if there were any additional problems because the repairs are guaranteed for 30 days. It's so nice to have repairs to my home and not feel like I'm getting ripped off!

Do not use this company. My toilet was leaking and they came and did a total toilet rebuild on 12/5/13. 65 days later the leaking resumed and they did a second toilet rebuild (2/10/14). Then I complained about them to the BBB and they responded with a series of stories that did not take place. Immaturity...I am not sure what else to call it. Instead of owning up to their incompetence, they decided to weave a series of stories. Dare I say lie? I have complained about poor service in the past with another company before. They owned up to it, apologized, and reimbursed me. U.S. Heating and Air Conditioning is the first company I have ever heard responding the way it did. Trust me...Do not use this company.

Had them service my Lennox heat pump and the serviceman was very courteous and professional. But, he identified the condenser as requiring replacement with a cost of $195 for an OTC $40 item. Robbery!

This is a letter of praise for USHAC. I live in a house that was built in 1972. The plumbing was installed according to the code that was in effect back then. The kitchen drain is a bit troublesome to clear and needs to be snaked to the septic tank, which is about 70 feet of pipe. My kitchen drain was clogged and although it took some extraordinary effort to clear it, USHAC did a great job. I recommend USHAC100%. They were punctual, accommodating, diligent and courteous throughout their efforts to take care of my plumbing issues. They also did a great job with a shower faucet replacement, commode seal, flusher replacement and waste disposal installation. Thank you very much for all your good work. Joe form Hillsborough.
