Recommended Customer Reviews

As for AC service this company is the best I have worked with. Their techs and the office personnel is great. Alex is the best. She cares for the customer, she offers the help and follows up. When she tells you we can not be there for whatever reason she calls you and let you know. Ryan Ellis is an incredible person, he knows his stuff and asks your needs then to move up to talk about what AC unit we would need. Alex thanks for all you do for me. They had service my AC and finally gave up. Other companies just came and go and charged me an arm and a leg, not fair. Tomorrow they are coming to install a new unit, they recommended Daikin and the warranty and labor for 12 years was a decision maker, but also for Ryan and for Alex. Thank you both. I have yet to see the installation of the new unit. For that, I will write another review. I hope that the installers and installation go smooth.

This company was contracted through my home warranty company for a plumbing issue. On three occasions, I was informed that US Heating and Air contacted me to inform me of the appointment change which is 100% not true. I received one call and did reschedule the appointment for the next day but it appears that time was moved as well without my knowledge. Meanwhile, I have adjusted my schedule to make sure that I am here for a scheduled appointment. I am not sure about the quality of their service because I have yet to get them back out to my home to complete the repair but I am sure that the integrity and honesty of the employees of US Heating and Air is very poor.

United States Heating & Air Conditioning came to our home and gave us an estimate to have our A/C ducts replaced. We agreed on a price and a date to do the work. They agreed to complete duct replacement, install new boxes and flex, install new active returns in each room on the left side. They also told us that the return in husbands' office to be larger, recommend a new electronic air cleaner and replace existing return run. They returned and did the work on 5/17/2023 and we paid in full on that day. On 9/28/2023, we called them about insulation in the duct work and that our A/C unit was frozen. They came out and repaired the TXV valve and removed some insulation from the bottom of the air handler. We told the technician that all the vents in the house were full of insulation and that this didn't seem normal to us. I then called and spoke with """"Marie"""" about the insulation and that we needed to have the ducts cleaned out because this could be causing problems with the Air Handler. Marie then told me that we would need to pay to have the ducts cleaned. I told her that it has been this way from the beginning and asked why would I pay to have new air ducts cleaned when they are new? She sent out a technician who verified that the ducts were indeed full of insulation. After a week of back and forth, they agreed to come and clean the ducts and remove insulation from the air handler. Fast forward to 1/17/2024, we had our annual Air conditioning maintenance done. While the technician was here, we asked them if they could check to see why the 3 bedrooms were still warm even if we just had new vents and returns installed. The tech went into the attic and discovered that many of the ducts weren't installed correctly and that much of the work that was done was below Orange County standards (not up to code). I then learned that United States Heating & Air did not pull a permit for the duct replacement. The terrible work with the install and the fact that they weren't careful and allowed a large amount of blown in insulation to get into the ducts: subsequently, it caused the Air handler to have a restricted flow that caused the TXV valve to fail and then they charged us almost $1,000.00 for the damage that their poor workmanship caused. Also, the other A/C company told us that the return flex ducts were not put in the correct position and are too small. They were not hooked up on top of the mixing boxes, it needs to have caps holes with fab and mastic. The flex runs need to be strapped up. They said all ducts need to be sealed to drywall and should have been done when the duct system was replaced. They took pictures of the duct flex that are laying on insulation in attic, and some have a lot of extra flex on them which will slow the air flow down. They need to be straight flex and strap up all the flex runs. There is also no insulation around supply and return air drops in attic. It needs to be more insulation added in low areas and around drops. All that should have been caught by the inspection if a permit was pulled like it is required. I called and spoke with Marie on 1/17/2023 and went through the many problems we have had with regards to their service and installation. I then asked to speak to the General manager, she told me they were out on vacation until Monday and asked that I send an email to customer service, and they would get back to me. I didn't hear anything back from Marie, or the general manager. I called again on the 1/26/2023 to ask about an update and she told me that the Manager had received the email but had not given any information on what they were going to do. Marie told me that she would call them and get back to me. As of today 1/31/2023, I had to call again, and this time spoke to a different person who told me that Marie was in a meeting. I asked the receptionist if I could talk to the general manager, and she told me that low in behold that Marie was the general manager and that there was no one higher than her. This means that Marie has been deceiving me the whole time and stringing me along with no intention of solving this problem. I can't tell you how concerning this is that the leadership of this company would deliberately deceive its customers. I would hope that no one else will consider using them in the future and to be aware of their deceptive technics and poor work ethics.

We bought a hot water hater from them last year and the thermostats went bad after a little more than a year. Out of desperation I agreed to have them replace both thermostats not realizing at the time that they were grossly overpriced. It took the tech about 30 minutes to replace them both and cost over $600. The part costs $20 so they really must be paying their techs a lot of money or ripping people like me off.....shop around!

My ceiling has been damaged by the techs while installing the new handler. I got my system early March and reported the damage along with sending photos to the salesman. It is now April 6, 2023. No one has contacted me yet about this cosmetic damage. It shouldn't be this hard to get feedback from the company.

The technicians came during the time frame promised and were very cordial. My unit started working the way it should when they came which is how things tend to happen, but they still did a full diagnostic. The only thing that gave me pause about this visit was the the new unit sales pitch. I am aware that my unit is at the end of life, but I know that it doesn't need to be replaced immediately. I appreciated the insight on the products that they offer, but I don't like being sold something that I don't absolutely need at the moment. I typically have my system serviced once a year by various companies and I've never had them try to sell me a new unit. They typically tell me to ride it until the wheels fall off :). I appreciated the courteous and prompt service, but can do without the the immediate sales job.

With a heat index of 100 degrees they even brought in portable ACs just to make it bearable. I can't thank everyone there enough for making a very uncomfortable situation bearable. I recommend this company to anyone in need of air conditioning repair - just don't expect a miracle in the """"heat"""" of a bad situation. Thanks again Janet for keeping us all cool.

Worst service I've ever received. Multiple rescheduled appts by them..this was for a leaking toilet and 1 gasket..almost a month later they call and break another appt. I contacted manager Robert Torres and he assured me a callback same day..did NOT HAPPEN. Do not use this company!!

Terrible service, worse customer service. I've had the misfortune of dealing with this company three times. I have a home warranty, and that company lists USH&A as one of their service providers. The first time they came out to look at my leaking water heater, the service technician told me that the city (Oviedo) was sending too much pressure to the house, this triggered the pressure release valve, so the water had to be turned off. I called the city, and they sent a rep out within 10-15 minutes. The service technician for USH&A got in his truck, drove about three houses down from mine, and pulled over to the curb and parked. He refused to speak with the City's rep (would not get out of his truck!!!) who said it was impossible that the city was sending too much pressure and only my house was affected (if the city was sending too much pressure -most, if not all houses would be affected). He ended up driving off, and I was left with a leaking water heater. I had to turn off the water to the house, all this while having both bathrooms re-tiled. Horrible inconvenience. They sent a second rep out a day or two later who diagnosed a completely different problem and ended up rebuilding the pipes that lead from the heater to the house. I have just called the warranty company about another issue - one of the heating elements seems to be out - and have unfortunately been forwarded to USH&A. Their answering service incorrectly told me they had Saturday appointments - which they do not - so I scheduled for Tuesday between 10am - 1pm. Less than 24 hours before this appointment, they call and leave a message that they have rescheduled for 2pm - 5pm (or thereabouts). I have totally rescheduled my workday around the original appointment - I know things happen and sometimes cannot be avoided, but when I called to ask for the original appointment time back due to the fact it does not fit in with the schedule that I totally re-worked to meet the original appointment, the supervisor told me """"What do you want me to do about it?'. If this is the type of service and customer service you expect, please do call USH&A!

My home warranty company placed a service call with this company to check out my AC that was not cooling properly. I had an appointment for Wednesday between 2 and 5 PM. At 3 PM on Wednesday I called to confirm the appointment. They said I was the technicians next call. At 5 PM I had not heard a thing from the company or technician. I called and they siad he was on the way. I asked for the tech to call me for an ETA. At 5:30 I called again and let them know I had not heard from their tech and he was currently 30 mins late. They said they he was on his way and they would have him call me with an ETA. At 6 PM I called and cancelled the appointment. They claimed that the tech was on his way from Kissimmee, my condo is in Daytona Beach. If you promiss a customer that you will be at their home between 2 and 5 and you can't be there by 5 you should call and tell the customer that you will be late. I called twice to have them contact the tech so I would know how much longer I would be kept waiting. They did not even have the common decency to place a phone call to let me know they were running late. When I called and asked for an ETA I got nothing but the run around. I called my home warranty company and cancelled the call. I also asked for US Heating and Air to be removed from the list of company's that they use for repair work. This was the worst experience I have ever had from any A/C company in my life! I would not reccommend this company based on my experience.
