I hired Alex from United Pluming after he gave me a good and honest assessment of the project which was repair of rusting joints of the copper pipes in crawl space and water heater pipes. He did a thorough inspection and did a great job of fixing the issues . I will hire Alex again if I need his help.

Response time was good. They came out promptly to check our tankless water heater that was glitching and fixed our leaky toilet. Then recommended changing our water heater as it could die at any moment (which we suspected)
Our house is big but they don't sell the larger capacity heater anymore...so Alex had to do a little researching.

It was down size or get 2 smaller ones working in tandem. Estimate was more than I expected. So I shopped around. United plumbing had the better pricing. Even homedepot was more expensive.

Alex showed up on time and they spent 10 hours installing the 2 heaters.
In the end they worked hard, followed up 4 days later to check if things were working okay. Came back to tweak a few things. LOVE our new set up. Water pressure is better and hot water starts up faster than our old system. Alex is planning to come back in another couple days to see if there's anymore improvements to be done. It was a complicated installment and the new heaters are suppose to learn your hot water habits so Alex wanted to make sure it was doing that.

I has an emergency pipe leak, the United Plumbing was prompt in response and able to send the technician in leads than hour. The technician Mr Alex was very professional and knows what he is doin. He explained me the problem with no ambiguity and made me clear with diagnostics and the fix. I was completely satisfied with the work and recommend Alex for any plumbing issues. I recommend this guys for urgent issues especially when your home warranty does not respond in time. In short great service for the reasonable price.

Our shower handle would not close, causing an unstoppable leak from the shower head. I requested quotes from yelp and United Plumbing responded within minutes. I sent some photos of the issue and they felt it could be fixed the same day. They came out the same afternoon and fixed it in less than an hour! Called United Plumbing on a three day weekend because of a leaking pipe that was worsening. Managed to get someone in the evening and Alex was out the next day. He even came early! Appreciated his work, he was courteous, friendly and explained what happened that caused our pipe to have an issue. Start with a dig with another company/plumber who I feel takes advantage of customers and lacks transparency, far from being an Advanced Plumbing company... Visit charge, labor to open a wall, and then a diagnostic charge that was not disclosed at start. They couldn't fix it - paid'em and sent them packing. Suffice, will NEVER use them or the referring company again.

United Plumbing and Water Heaters to the Rescue! Exactly the opposite of the experience of the prior hack. First, initial visit was no charge, estimated cost of repair and upon agreement started work. Additional work on another area was suggested and I agreed - again, very transparent. Trust is a word I use sparingly with Home Repair service providers - United Plumbing earned my trust and my future business.

If you live in the Tri Valley and need plumbing - Start with United Plumbing and Water Heater and ask for Alex. If it can be fixed, you will be happy!

They came out quickly and diagnosed that we didn't actually have a plumbling problem, but rather our tile in our shower was letting water through. No charge, which was wonderful! Great customer service--we'll be calling them again.

5 stars all the way for United Plumbing !!!! We were digging out an old plant when we hit and punctured an outside copper water line from a shovel strike. This was on a Saturday around 1:00 pm. I called United Plumbing and spoke to a very friendly lady to schedule a repair. Our scheduled time was between 4 and 6. The plumber, Alex, showed up early around 2:30 and got right to work repairing the water line. He spent about 1.5 hrs repairing the line. The price was reasonable, the repair was done well, and the plant was removed. Thanks Alex and United Plumbing !!!
