Home Warranty scam artist. They will find any imaginable excuse to leave without fixing anything while collecting a deposit. Their excuses are not legit - lies lies lies, right to your face - then they lie to American Home Shield. They work hard at not working. Stay away.

Needed to have a hot water heater installed because it was leaking, unfortunately to replace the water heater our wall had to be modified to gain access to the water heater. The plumbing manager was here and took pictures of the water heater, the utility closet, and the wall where the water heater needed to be taken out. On the day of the install, the installers had the wrong size water heater and didn't know that the wall had to be modified for the installation. I took the day off for this and no install. Now the same plumbing manager tells me that they can't cut into the wall because there are wires and pipes in the wall. I paid almost $500 extra for them to modify my wall for the installation, and on the day of the install I'm being told they can't do it? I am presently waiting for them to call me back to see what the resolution is. Very unhappy with United Air Temp right now.

Stay away. They are always trying to sell a new, expensive unit. They don't service the units properly, leaving things loose and actually leading to further problems. Twice I have had other companies fix the problems they cause.

My AC unit continued to experience compressor issues and due to its obscurity (a very unique system), troubleshooting the issue proved to be very challenging. After several attempts to repair the issue without resolve, I decided to contact Alvin, the Vienna location's manager. From the minute he picked up the phone, Alvin was doing everything in his power to help ensure that the next fix would be the last. He understood my frustration, consulted his best techs, and briefed them before they arrived at my home to perform the repair. His dedication to customer service, flexibility in price, and the techs' ability to successfully repair my system are hard to come by in this industry. The effort they put forth has me committed to using United Air Temp for all of my AC needs for the foreseeable future.

Yikes! A year later and they are still horrible. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They will defraud you, lie to you, not show up, and waste your time. They survive off the crumbs of home warranty services that are so overwhelmed, they will hire horrible contractors.

United Air Temp came to my home as scheduled to conduct a warranty maintenance service,
Te technician, Terry Weatherholtz, was cordial, polite, courteous, and highly professional with his taking out the AC blower. He was diligent with his cleaning, temperature check, inspection of filter, was very cognizant of how clean and meticulous the system was as he carried out his numerous point inspection. Terry did not make haste to carry out his task but treated me/system as if it mattered. It was very noticeable that Terry had attention to detail and treated the customer the way he would want to be treated. Very ethical! He then reinstalled the blower and went outside to inspect the AC unit fan. He said it was clean, made a suggestion, and continued with his inspection. He gave the system a thumbs up, inside and out. He exclaimed the system looked new and to keep it up. I think Terry is deserving of his Polo shirt, which prospectively, is long over due.

If you have a Warranty/Maintenance Contract with UAT (VA, MD, wherever), rest assured 1) you've made a solid business decision for your home and family and 2) Charles Stewart and the rest of UAT Virginia is going to hold up their end of the bargain-in an extremely professional and timely manner. Charles came from UAT VA to my home in College Park, MD today for a normal Contract Maintenance appointment, and it went just fine, as always. Continuing to be a very satisfied long-term customer.

I have literally been waiting on a technician all day and no one has called or showed up. Friday the customer service office called and scheduled my appointment for today 7/2. I took off from work because I couldn't get a time that the technician would arrive. I have called the main office three times today and each time I was reassured that someone was coming. NO CALL NO SHOW!!!

I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
