Wendell L.Today, I discovered that condensate water that is draining into the drain pan which is shutting off the air handler was due a dirty and clog air filter that is restricting air flow over the coils. Over the past 60 days, United Air Temp sent maintenance tech to service the issues with my air handler at least three time and no one took the time to clean the air filters. I just renewed my annual maintenance contract with you on 18 Jun 2021 for $319.95. I was told by your tech that my air handler drain pan is leaking and it will cost $1,000.00 to fix. It appears that simply cleaning the air filter would have safe me a service call to you and exploring over the weekend the option to obtain three cost estimates to replace my existing AC unit. I need better service techs to service my AC unit. Thanks!
The customer service and professionalism at this company is very low. They sent out a tech who has 3 months experience then offered to send a 2nd experienced tech which only had 2 years experience to fix the issue the 1st tech caused. No manager would call me to rectify the situation. I'm 90 degree weather the tech ""forgot"" to order the part and then went on vacation. Had I not called to follow up I would never have know this. They were not apologetic or accommodating. They all have incorrect and inconsistent Information. DO NOT USE THEM
Bez M.United air temp came to repair and instead quoted us on $6000 replacement and then falsified report to AHS to deny the repair. Now they don't return our calls.
Having a hard time with American home shield and United air temp who they sent to repair - we need someone we can trust to not rip us off like these people are doing -
Top notch service from Branch manager Craig Broccolini (Columbia MD office). My thanks for his getting new system in what I'm sure was record time considering how many folks were awaiting equipment. Craig responded quickly to diagnose my issue, and kept me informed steadily during the week my former system died of efforts to secure new. He is an exceptional, customer oriented manager which we knew as we've been with Air Temp for nearly 20 years and always experienced great response. Big shout out to Melvin (supervisor) and Tito and Jose who completed the new install and removal of former system in one day,as promised. They worked diligently stopping only to eat a well-deserved lunch. Cannot say how good it felt to have heat and hot water again! If seeking reliable heating systems and great follow up I absolutely endorse United Air Temp.
If AHS connected you with United Air Temp. ask for another company. One of their contractors stopped by for 2 mins & left claiming he doesn't work with brands such as Carrier. Seriously, this loser couldn't call and ask us over the phone instead of wasting our time?? AND what heating/cooling professional doesn't work with the brand CARRIER! We believe he didn't want to take the job & made up the lie. We got a diagnosis from BGE & told the United Air Temp looser when he arrived. Trying to get a reputation contractor to come out from AHS is another horror story. Been over a week with freezing temperature & no one gives 2 Fs. Stay away from AHS & United Air Temp.
Summary: Technician didn't show. United Air Temp promised to reschedule, but didn't--even after I called, and after I had my home warranty servicer call three times over three days.
The Long Story: United Air Temp was hired by my home warranty servicer to do a routine pre-season furnace tune-up. They reached out to me to schedule a time.
On the day of the visit, the technician called and asked to come earlier. This was fine, so I agreed.
My wife and I both work at home, so we ensured we wore no headphones and played no music so we could hear the technician knock. The technician never showed.
I called the technician--the one who called to move up the appointment time--and he said he knocked and called me a few times, then left because I didn't answer. I had no missed calls from him, and he had my number (again, he called me to bump up the schedule).
He assured me the company would call me before closing of business to reschedule the tune-up. They didn't. I called my home warranty company to ensure I wouldn't be charged for a service that never happened, and my home warranty servicer reached out to United Air Temp to reschedule. I waited 24 hours, and I was not called to reschedule.
I again called my home warranty servicer, and the process repeated--they asked United Air Temp to reschedule, I waited, and United Air Temp never called to reschedule.
After calling United Air Temp once, and calling my home warranty servicer three times, I got the service switched to another HVAC company.
I will not work with United Air Temp again.
This company is one of the most unprofessional companies I've dealt with. The customer service is ZERO. I called to have my Freon checked, which was scheduled a week out. Okay fine, I understand if you are busy. Tech came Monday the 6th and said it was the wrong service ticket issued and that someone else would be out. So, I waited and waited. Called the next day, Tuesday the 7th, and was told someone would be there, again no one showed. Called the next day, Wednesday the 8th, and was told they came at 11pm Tuesday night, yes 11 at night but no one answered the door. OBVIOUSLY. Service calls must end at 9pm. Read your local ordinances. Checked my Ring video, the tech NEVER came to my door. So I was told someone would be there Thursday the 9th, again no one showed. This morning I had a voicemail AGAIN at 11:43pm. This is unacceptable. Maybe it's time for some restructuring within your company. I would suggest realigning your policies. Federal guidelines state service calls CAN NOT BE MADE AFTER 9pm.
While it appears that United Air Temp (UAT) has some challenges--according to some of the reviews--my experience has been very positive. As a service provider for our home warranty, UAT was recently dispatched to my home to repair a furnace leak. The service technician, Luis was Outstanding! Not only did he resolve the issue timely, but he also explained what he was doing and cleaned up behind himself. I found Luis to be very professional and detailed.
Skylar and Chris were representatives who were sent out from Untied Air Temp via my home warranty company. Skylar diagnosed the problem and informed me that it was not covered under the warranty. I was unable to get any resolve with problem with my warranty company but both Skylar and Chris agreed to repair my problem for a great price. Thank you Skylar and Chris for doing a great thorough job for me and for giving me good advice!

Chinky V.They are never in between their window time frame. And the dispatchers are useless and rude. So I have an appointment and they call again saying that I have to an appointment. Why call 2 numbers when you have one in the system.
