Had to write this review based on a recent experience. Wished I would've read this companies reviews prior to having UAT come to my property and do any work. Had an issue with my furnace not lighting in February 2023 and like other reviews I've read went through my home warranty AHS for repairs. They sent these cheaters, and they conned me into changing my heat exchanger by saying the original one was cracked even though when they removed the original there was no signs of cracks. The tech went so far as to even try and put one in it using a screwdriver but was unable to do so. It was at that point that I should've figured out that these were con men. Fast forward to November 2024, and low and behold the furnace would not light. Again like a fool I went through the home warranty and UAT was reassigned to the job. It was at that point I should've requested another vendor, but did not. They came out and replaced the igniter and initially everything was fine but shortly after again the furnace intermittently would not power on. Between November and December 2024 UAT came out 4-different times and were unsuccessful in identifying what was the issue. On their last visit the tech told me I need another heat exchanger because they generally only last 1-2 years, even though I only had mine for less than 9 months. Even gave me an example of how a second hand phone charger doesn't last as long as the one that originally comes with a phone. It was at that point I knew that the tech must think I'm stupid and did not know know what he was trying to do so I told him I'll get a second opinion and get back to them. On a positive note with the help of the internet I was able to self diagnose what was the issue with my furnace and resolve, and it is working great! UAT eventually ended up closing the service request, and suffice to say I will be dropping my home warranty provider here in the near future. I'd like to end this review by just saying if anyone from UAT is reading this you know exactly what you're doing when you try to rip your customers off and unfortunately most of us fall for it. However, karma always comes backs to bite people and guarantee there will come a time where you end up hustling the wrong person...
The worst part 2...
Part 1 is under United Air Temp Lorton. My review was too long.

So let me make this long story Short (I know, too late).. For a week (7 days with no hot water) I called United Air Temp and never got a call from manager Kelly. On day 7 I get a call from American Home shield saying they have the information and it now approved. From here on out it was up to United Air Temp to get the job done.
Let me take this time to say i asked American Home Shield to change companies several time but was told they could not.
Anyway, after being told that everything was up to United Air Temp I called them back. On day 7 something finally happened. I was told by someone in the office that I was scheduled to have someone come replace my water heater on Monday..5 days away...12 days without hot water. I again asked for and got a supervisor (Christine). I explained my situation to her and she did what everyone before her, she put me on hold and called Kelly Parnan. And to my surprise she came back and said she was transferring my call.
When I finally got to talk to Kelly the first thing he said to me was ""they didn't tell you what I said?"" For the next few minutes I explained to him that I was told he was going to call me back and all he did was tell me about everything else except why he didn't call me. I even said I was scheduled for them to come out and all he said was "" I was going to call to let you know, do you think we would just show up and not tell you?"". I again told him that I've heard he was going to call me for a week and it never happen. That conversation went nowhere, and he was not at all apologetic.
So now I have an appointment to get my water heater replaced. On Friday I get a call from Kelly to say he needs to came have a look at my water heater so that everything will be right when they come out on Monday. He comes out, and takes a look and leave. He didn't want to talk about his horrible customer service.

So today (11/4/24) a crew comes to get the job done. The techs come in and get right to work. After about 20 minutes they roll in a hot water heater that I KNOW is not going to fit. Some how after Kelly came out to have a look to make sure everything was good, someone ordered the wrong water heater. I'm now waiting as they have run out to get new water heater from Home Depot.

My new hot water heater is installed. The techs have cleaned up and explained everything I need to know about the new heater.
Now I wait for hot water.
In closing I will say this. Overall my experience with United Air Temp was not a pleasant one, in fact i would say it was horrible. Everyone I spoke with at the 800 number were very professional, the techs that came to look, diagnose and replace the unit were very professional and helpful. But the branch manager Kelly Parnan was the worst! Had he at any point returned a call and spoke with me about my issue, that would have saved me several calls and any negative remarks I am making here and to their corporate offices. I will never again use United Air Temp!
Ravon H.Booked them through my Home Warranty company for heating system tune up and to repair my AC unit that was making a knocking sound. The first service was great. The tech came out and inspected my heating system. He found it wasn't firing properly. He did a good cleaning a scrapped the rust off. It worked great after that. My system in 28 years old so it's on its last legs.
The second service call was for my AC unit. The fan motor was going up and it needed a new fan blade. He replaced the motor and ordered the new fan blade. Not got the knocking to stop. Unfortunately for me that the home warranty won't replace my system until it fails completely. I am hoping it will get me through the winter. I am planning on replacing it in the spring. Since I have the home warranty I will keep patching it up until the .
Do not ever give them your contact info. They will constantly call you hundreds of times no matter what you tell them.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Had an AC unit not cooling, they sent out a fairly inexperienced guy who advised there's a leak but he could not find any leaks. The next day they sent out a manager to talk to me about options, he was misleading about numerous things, just pushing me to upgrade the entire system. Asked him to send me quotes for mid and high-end systems, he sent me only quotes for high-end systems and the quotes were very unprofessional. No model numbers, no itemizations, I had no idea what I would be paying for. When I asked for an itemized quote with model numbers, he ghosted me. Thanks, Johnny DeLeon, Annapolis branch manager, for being totally unprofessional!
Verlinda H.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! United Air Temp was contracted through my home warranty company AHS for my AC unit. My original issue was that the unit was not cooling. They showed up on time for the appointment and that's the only reason I would give them 1 star. They added coolant and it worked for a couple days then went out again. Came back and determined it was a leak in the line but they had to run a test to determine where. Completed the job and a couple days later I realized my carpet is completely SOAKED from the AC leaking. Called the tech and he said I had to do a recall through AHS in order for him to return to fix the leak. This was on a Friday night the weekend of Labor day during a heat wave of 95+ degree weather. He showed up the next week with a wet vac and fixed the leak and I asked him what about my carpet which at this point I wouldn't be surprised if mold had started to accumulate. He told me to contact headquarters which I did and was told they were not at fault. How is it not your fault if the unit was NOT leaking before your ""repairs""? I've called several times and insisted to speak to a manager and they have yet to return my calls. I will also be filing a complaint with BBB. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
The most horrible experience I've ever experienced with any HVAC company. From the lack of professionalism from management staff, overpriced service, shortage of skilled HVAC technicians, to taking over a month and a half to fix my AC issue because they didn't know how! The technicians been to my home more than seven times to fix the issue. I would never recommend or consider this company ever again. In fact they will be reported to the BBB. Warning, please consider another HVAC company before you regret it later.
Called for an emergency plumbing blockage, stated they would be there in 1.5 hours, arrived in 2.5 hours. Technician was courteous and professional but unable to clear the blockage. Stated he would be back first thing in the morning with a different piece of equipment.Next morning, no technicians showed. I called, left messages. Nobody called me back. I called the office, they said he was all booked up and maybe could come in the evening. However, the office personel said they could not get in touch with him either. Finally i called another company who has since fixed the issue. THEN this morning, two days later, somone from their office called about a camera appointment. Not an emergency appointment for a clogged pipe. I am at a loss for the appropriate wording.
Why would i trust you with my plumbing now that i know that you are unreliable, dont have courtesy enough to communicate what is going on, and completely unprofessional?
AHS contracted company for repair of pipe leaks. The technician came to the house checked the leaks and called his manager. The manager proceeded to try pressure me into purchasing a water filter and pressure control valve for $2400. They leveraged their contract with AHS to sell these services and make repair of the pipes conditional on the purchasing the whole packet. When I refused to purchase the services, they falsified the report to AHS so that they only collected the service fee and did not perform the job. Do not trust this company.
