Just to update review. My family has now been without any a/c for four weeks waiting for a part. Initially I was told it would be two weeks, but here we are four weeks later and still no air. The number for Jessica that was left by the company on my original review does not work and the """"corporate"""" number they left is not corporate at all. It's another call center called ARS. Avoid this shady business at all costs!

So It's 5:00pm on Monday. I hired Unique through Lowes to install my water heater. Along with the water heater I needed a circulating pump. The heater was installed and I was told that the pump would was ordered and would be in in mid October. I called and then textedDovany Rodriguez on October 20, 2022. He didn't remember me and I had to send him pictures of the job. I didn't hear back from him. Text him on 10/28.""""I'm heading to the shop now...give me an hour"""" Never heard back. 10/31 text him. """"We never got it"""" 11/9 """"Pump came in"""" 11/14 I text him to ask when it will be installed. He tells me Friday 11/18, 12-4pm. You guessed it...3pm I call the office. They have no idea what I am talking about. After looking at the work orders she says someone had been out there on Monday 11/14. I tell her no and go through the whole story. She says someone will call me. It is now Monday at 5pm. I have not heard from them. I moved everything out so they could work and have been parking my cars outside. This is no way to do business. Don't use them

This has been the worst experience I've ever received from a company. We purchased our A/C unit six years ago, we also were under warranty for 15 years, we haven't even lived in this house for 15 years. Yet, we're having to pay out of pocket to fix an issue with our A/C unit that has left us without Air conditioning for almost two weeks now. As soon as the a/cs control panel failed, we immediately called. We live in Tampa, Florida, this is one of the hottest years for Tampa. We are above 70 years old, suffering in 90 degree heat for the last week and a half, we also have grandchildren living here as well as pets. Not only are we paying out of pocket; Unique Airs communication is horrific. Everyone we spoke with were rude, with the exception of one employee, we've been told the part isn't in, then one employee says the part has in fact arrived, then we get the run around when it will be fixed. However, they NEVER show up. The receptionist, rude, the technicians, rude. This is by far the worst company I have ever been involved with and I've been alive for over 70 years. I've had several health complications since the a/c failed, my grandchildren, one with asthma, can't breathe inside; she has to go outside to get any sort of relief. She also works for the stadium, and works outside 24/7 when she comes home she has to take a freezing cold shower JUST to breathe. But Unique Air does not care. They let their costumers suffer without giving them ANY information; and consistently fails to return our phone calls and even fails to even show up at the designated times that THEY specified. Do not do business with unique air, they are a terrible company and do not care about their customers.

what a terrible service as well as misleading contract. had service agreement for years $350. my agreement covered normal service twice a year. my cooling system routinely shuts down due water backup in the drain line. they clean it out replace the filter which I provide. i was advised my plan had changed (who knew)? they didn't change my filter and charged approx $500 for 1/2 hour. while my wife and i never understood our plan changes service said we did. well the most dishonest company is gone.

I wish I could leave a zero star review but that is not an option. I bought two identical Daikin air conditioners for my duplex on the exact same day eight years ago. I was told that I would have a 12 year parts and labor warranty on these units. The back unit has not had a single issue the front unit I think every single thing has been replaced from motors to condensers to capacitors to fuses to fans on this unit. The most recent thing that happened was my air went out and they came out in the last week and a half five times for the same issue and still could not fix it. I was told after the fifth time that they had to order part that was back ordered for 2 to 6 weeks. I said you certainly do not want me to be without air-conditioning for that long what can you do for me. The service guy said there was nothing he could do but I could talk to a supervisor so I called the supervisor and spoke to Kevin. I told Kevin that this is been a lemon unit and they have continually come out and replaced everything over the life of the unit and they should just pull the unit and give me a new one. He told me that that would not be happening and that the best they could do was to sell me another unit at a discount. I told him this unit has a 12 year warranty And I was told that I should wait for the part then. I asked him if they could supply a temporary air conditioner and he told me that they do have some but they might all be gone but he assured me he would call me the next morning and I still have not heard from him. please do not get involved with these people and save yourself a lot of headaches. I hardly ever write reviews unless I get exceptional service and then I want to make sure that the person that gave me the exceptional service is aware that I noticed. I think I have written two or three bad reviews in my life but this one certainly deserves a bad review.

I am in Venice, FL, not sure why it states San Francisco, California. My experience began with the 12 year parts and labor. I knew I was overpaying when I bought the system, but the peace of mind for 12 years made it well worthwhile. When I say overpaying, I mean I could have purchased the system for less, but again the 12 years made it worth it in my mind. The experience since then has been less than satisfactory. It seems Unique is simply looking to bill for something or upsell every time they come out. Several times, including this past week, I have had trouble relating to the service contract I have with them. A main function of the contract is for the tech to clean the condenser unit twice a year. On at least two occasions they did not clean the unit. On the most recent appointment the tech did not clean the unit and left a written recommendation the coils be deep cleaned. When I spoke to a service manager, he explained the deep cleaning was not covered by my contract. I then asked why I needed a deep cleaning since it was being cleaned twice a year. He explained the cleaning covered in my contract was basically rinsing with a hose and the coils can get build up by grass, dirt and other debris. By the way, the 12 year parts and labor, well Unique now charges a diagnostic fee for determining what is wrong with the unit. Today when I told the service manager I did not wish to pay them to clean the unit he replied alright, I will pull my guy off the job. As if I had done something wrong. He did not offer a further explanation, or an apology for the tech not showing up the first day, then not cleaning the unit the next day. When I told him the service from his company was disappointing he simply said """"I am sorry you feel that way"""". They were at one time a very good company that provided quality service. Unique has become very expensive since they were purchased. I would recommend looking into other providers. We used to be on their annual plan until it doubled in price for the exact same service. Installed an A/C unit last year, and it turns out that the unit is too small to appropriately cool our unit.

I really don't like to take time to write a review but when I do they are typically for positive reasons. I feel obligated, though, to say that if you're thinking about getting a new ac system or even have service done on your existing system, do yourself a huge favor and stay away from Unique Services. I can't believe I did it but I let the roving sales woman at Home Depot corral me into letting a Unique rep come to my house to give me an estimate on anew ac unit and basically put heavy pressure on me to sign a contract that day to get the special pricing. I can't believe I went for it. I'm still kicking myself for letting their rep talk me into getting a system without having other companies give competing bids. Anyway right from the start I wasn't happy with the company. The installers we're not professional and left my garage a mess. The unit which is now 4 years old has already had several issues and had to have the sanitizing light fixture replaced and a condensation pan reworked because water was dripping all over the garage floor. There have been other issues but what really made me dislike this company happened yesterday. I had a Unique rep out yesterday for routine maintenance. He was not friendly at all. Not professional in any way. He said the system was low on coolant and had to run a test which took maybe 15 minutes at best and cost me $240. Outrageous. So the test revealed that the evaporator coil had a leak. It's under warranty and needs to be replaced. So I paid $240 for a test to determine a leak that is the fault of a part that is still under warrantee. That's total BS. If the part had not been defective I wouldn't need to be way overcharged for a test that wouldn't be necessary if the part worked as it should. He then said he would replace 3 lbs of coolant that the warranteed coli leaked documents another $600! Are you F'ing kidding me! so the original unit at our house was installed by Tri County and serviced by them. Last year I had a unit installed in a rental house I own by Badger Bobs. The original unit in that house was installed and serviced by AC Warehouse. All three of those companies were far superior to Unique and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of those three. Unique will sell you an inferior product and do their best to rip you off when it starts to fail. The final kicker is that after they left yesterday it took 4 hours for the house to cool from 77 to 76 and another three to get to 75. Awful.
