Over $ 350 for 25 minutes of work cleaning an air conditioner drain. A complete rip-off. Will never use them again.

We have a gold contract with this company, meaning they are supposed to come on the day you call. EXCEPT the one day you need them, then they have excuses about not having staff and they don't come. I expected at least a call the next day with some explanation but that didn't happen either. I don't feel like they care to retain me as a customer and I plan to move on, lots of good companies out there, think I'll move to the company that DID come when I really needed them. This was a Sunday plumbing issue that needed attention that day.

This was our 3rd day with no a/c. The company we hired to solve our problem, Unique Services, was absolutely not helpful. Today they said they would be here between 6:00 and 10:00 pm. I find those hours ridiculous, especially since this would be their third trip here. It is now almost 10:30 and still no service person or phone call to advise as to their status. That's it for Unique Services. We'll find someone who is more responsive.

I had a service contract with ARS for years and had them install a new air handler/compressor and it is still under warranty. I am a """"snowbird"""" and can only use the service calls from January through May normally. Days after getting a reminder email to schedule maintenance my neighbor notified me that the unit was not running correctly and I called to have the unit checked on Sept. 15, after the hurricane and when the streets were cleared. """"JT (319890)"""" indicated the blower motor module needed to be replaced and the part would have to be ordered. Several calls to Unique to find out when the repair would be made. First, they had to call purchasing to try to get a status; a call back was promised. A day or so a follow-up was useless when the service agent tried and could not reach purchasing and said they would have to send them an EMAIL. This company does not work well together. On Sept. 22, 2017, the now module was installed and installation took less than an hour. The total bill was $1,199.00 with $611.00 covered by warranty (one hour!). The part cost $588.00 and I was billed $558.60. I complained and Melody told me that this was the """"book rate"""" for this repair. A later explanation was that travel time was part of the four hours. Unique's Naples office is twenty minutes away! On Oct. 30, after my monthly unit check by my neighbor, he said the fan was constantly running even though the thermostat was set at 78 and the outside temperature was in the 60's. Wayne (309427) came in, noticed the setting was """"on"""" and should have been set to """"automatic"""" and left after making some checks outside. I was billed $89.00 for their techs mistakenly leaving the switch """"on"""". I feel that this company did some price gouging after the hurricane. The flat rate charge had no direct relation to the actual time spent. It took one week to get the part and have it installed. Other neighbors had the same part installed in less than 48 hours by other companies. I am considering filing a complaint with the state's Attorney General about the possible gouging, but I will have to pay the charges because of the threat of """"going to collection"""". Update on Feb. 12, 2018. Trying to contact any of the people at unique to discuss a recent billing on the same subject. Nobody calls back after promising to collect info and call back. I will invite them to meet me in court and I will file a complaint with the State Attorney General.

What a horrible experience. Thankfully I caught their gimmick before the technician got to my house and canceled the appointment. When I called to make an appointment they were very nice but repeatedly asked me if the people that make financial decisions in the house were going to be home at the time of the appointment, first sign of sales pressure, then the technician called and said that he was in Venice and that would be able to get to my house by 8:00 pm. Coincidentally the time that I told them that my husband would be home. Then he asked me again if the financial decisions makers would be available. The technician was rude and indicated that their prices are a lot higher that other companies due to their customer service. I felt that he was going to pressure us to buy their product no matter the price. Please don't fall for this company.

I hired Unique to clean my drains using their $89 special. They came out and showed me my drain pipe was rusting out which they charged me $2,200 to flush using their special system. They said it may last for months but in the end I would need to replace or sleeve the pipes with epoxy which they quoted me at $7,200. I explained that my wife's mom was dying and that after she passes we will have it done. My mother-in-law passed about six weeks later and when we had family paying their respects the guest toilet clogged. At the time of the first service they said that they would only charge me the $89 service to unclog any drains if they clogged before they can do the replacement service. I called and they said they would be out the next day but later that night the service man calls and says the manager said the charge is now $350 not the $89 they promised. I asked that the manager call me which he never did, I also called the main office and asked for the owner or general manager and again never received a call back! I hired another plumber which charged me $130 plus on getting other quotes I gave out the contract for the repair for $4,200 saving $3,000 from Unique' s quote. Be smart get three quotes which I didn't do because of my family circumstances at the time but I trusted Unique as they advertise so much and have been around a long time yet that was a poor choice made by me, please don't make my mistake as it was costly and very stressful. This company is very very expensive I had them come to check my AC unit for no heat. The service call was suppose to cost $89. The technician checked several different items on the unit and really could not pinpoint the problem. The very last thing to check was the thermostat and that was the problem. He installed a new thermostat which took him 12 minutes and that fixed the unit, plenty of heat but the sad thing was the bill $367.00 This thermostat cost about $ 40 to $55 at Home Depot or Lowe's. Now I know companies have a mark up on parst but %200 + is a little high. But I guess I could consider myself to be lucky because he wanted to change 3 resisters and God only knows what that would have cost. Just be aware of what part are going to cost before they start changing them. Would not reconmend this company to the poor people just the rich. :(

A technician erroneously moved our air conditioning sensor, which flooded our pan and destroyed our ceiling in our 90-year-old historic home. I had videoed him moving the sensor and talking about his repair, which was ultimately done on the wrong pipe, so that I could show it to my husband instead of explaining it. When we emailed the footage to unique air, pointing out the error and requesting they repair the ceiling, it required several phone calls that became contentious. Finally after agreeing, the company sent a handyman to repair the ceiling, which was done unprofessionally and does not match, requiring us to hire a professional to remedy their erro. In order to not prolong the matter, we asked that they void our bill for $370 so as to partially pay for their error, which they did and sent a voided credit card statement via email. Fast forward a few weeks, and they have sent us to collection for the amount. While we could have had our attorney deal with it, it would have been cost prohibitive to enter a prolonged battle for $370. However beware that the staff in this company is clearly unethical, despite video confirming error on the technician's part and emails confirming voided invoices. I would suggest using Aqua Plumbing And Air, which is a family owned business with high standards and of course ethics. Jessica, thanks for reaching out to help. After our initial contact and your apologies for erroneously reporting us to the credit board, you never got back to me. I'm still waiting for an update.

I honestly don't know where to start. This company operates in a fashion that is unethical. We have been given the run around so many times regarding a billing issue. The communication is terrible. In addition they installed 2 new units in our home which continually have issues including a unit 2 years old which backflowed and caused mold damage in our home. Do not use this company. There are so many other reputable choices out there. We wish we had done our homework first.
