What a pleasant surprise this company was! I have a home warranty through First American. I've gotten to a point where I cringe when I use them because of the shady vendors they tend to use. This CANNOT be said for US Plumbing & Rooter.
First of all, they contacted me pretty quickly and considering it was a holiday week this was my first surprise. The lady who called was friendly and asked the right questions.
2nd of all, they arrived when they said they would arrive. The technician Joe walked up and looked tired. My first thought was ""Oh Great"". He introduced himself and the look of fatigue went out the window. He was extremely friendly.
3rd of all, I expected he would come in, look at the garbage disposal, tell me he would need to order one and be back the next week. Nope, he came in, assessed the damage, and said it needed to be replaced. He said the receptionist who called me asked the right questions and therefore he had a replacement on the truck.
Joe was very professional and has a great sense of humor. He was cracking my wife, daughter, and I up with his wit. He really made the whole experience painless.
Thank you US Plumbing & Rooter for restoring some of my faith back into the world!

Happy with the service i received from Joe and the secretary at US Plumbing & Rooter. I was notified there was a cancellation and offered an appointment less than 24hrs after submitting the service request online. My appt was between 1pm & 4pm. Joe arrived closer to 1pm than 4pm and was done in about 30 mins. He was very friendly and knowledgeable in his craft. I greatly appreciate the company valuing my time and need of service.

Eighteen days to repair a water heater!

Called my home warranty service on Saturday, July 1. The US Plumbing (USP) tech, Javier, came out the same day and advised us the tank was unserviceable and we'd need a new heater. Javier said USP would have to get authorization on Monday.

Monday, 3:30 pm, I hadn't received word from USP about the authorization, so I called. The phone rep said there was no record of having to obtain authorization and she'd have to contact Javier.

Tuesday, 1:00 pm, I called the home warranty company and was told the authorization was issued. Immediately called USP who had no idea the authorization had been issued. Was put on hold for five minutes and was told USP was on the phone with the manufacturer and they'd call back; never got a call back.

Called USP on Wednesday and was told ""parts"" had been ordered from the manufacturer and would arrive to me in 5-7 days. I asked why they ordered parts instead of a new heater as Javier said the tank was not serviceable. No clue. They decided without rechecking the heater that now the tank was fine.

Called the home warranty service and was told the home warranty service company who advised they had ordered a new heater. Advised them that USP stated parts were ordered.

Called the manufacturer on July 12 to ask about the parts ordered. They said the parts should arrive on Monday, 10 days after USP told me 5-7 days. I asked why so long. They advised the order was shipped standard ground shipping per USP.

July 17, the parts arrive. Call USP and they said they couldn't do the work until July 19.

July 18, USP calls to ask if they were to repair or replace the water heater; they had no clue.

July 19, burner replaced.

Apparently, US Plumbing and Rooter doesn't think 18 days without hot water is a big deal. I spent 18 days heating water in the kitchen for washing dishes, bathing, shaving, etc.

Apathy and incompetence to the nth degree.

Requested service through our home insurance company, and waited 2 days for them to come out and fix the garbage disposal. They showed up nearly an hour late, dismantled the garbage disposal and left saying they would get authorization from the insurance company as the replacement unit they had was a third of the power of the installed unit. I heard nothing ever again. Did I mention they dismantled the unit so the sink was no longer usable?
Got my handyman to install the replacement unit while he also fixed the improper installation by a previous plumber of the dishwasher air gap, all for $75, in less than an hour.
I am now questioning why the home insurance company uses a company that has a 3 star rating

Nope. Requested service on Saturday through our home insurance company, and waited until Tuesday for them to come out and assess. Showed up to assess (3) water leaks in our crawl space and after saying they would get authorization from the insurance company, I heard nothing. Did I mention my wife just gave birth to our newborn 7 days prior (our first). Finally was able to speak to someone the following day who noted ""they didn't have the specialization "" to fix the 3 very basic, but physically challenging/remote drainage leaks. It's plumbing 101...what they considered is that the effort wasn't worth the $, now I'm still without a shower and 2 sinks waiting for the next company to show up 5 days later.
