We were extremely satisfied with the work completed by Paul Dziarmaga. I was a bit nervous about engaging a plumber via an app rather than a personal referral, but I'm so glad they sent Paul. He is very professional, knowledgeable and skilled in his trade and takes the time to educate us novices and explain everything he's doing. We had so many questions and he patiently addressed them all and fixed all our issues. I hope we won't need a plumber anytime soon but if we do, we wouldn't hesitate to ask for Paul @ Allied.

Paul showed up punctually, wore a mask, plastic covers over his shoes and was generally polite, respectful, and kept the work area very clean. Paul replaced an old toilet with a new one, was incredibly fast, efficient, and left the place looking better than new. Very happy, highly recommend, and I will be using them again for future plumbing needs.

Paul is fantastic. I had a basement drain backed up with black sludge coming out. Paul explained everything very clearly to me mentioning he does not need to do extra work if not required. He tried 2 methods and second worked. Afterwards, He cleaned up well. He also gave me extra advice on my water heater which was nice. I highly recommend Paul and this company for any plumbing work.

I'll start with a positive, by saying they came same-day & showed up during the designated time window. Downhill from there.

I greeted the plumber with a mask on, and not 2 minutes into being in my house did he have his mask off. The assumption that it was ""all good"" once he was in my house was not a great way to start out. By no means am I a stickler about masks, but it was off-putting.

Five minutes into his inspection, he started telling me I needed to replace my water heater, was getting quotes, told me they would have to rip part of my wall out to access the pipes, etc. He gave me an estimate of $2,500 and I'd likely need a permit. While he confirmed quotes, I asked general questions about what could be wrong and what could have made it crap out (like the cold weather?). We agreed that the symptoms were strange (even though I know nothing about plumbing), and it wasn't until I asked if my pipes could be frozen that he noticed my water heater was still producing hot water - it just wasn't getting anywhere.

I was then told ""I pissed him off"" because he had to lug a heavy machine up my stairs. 50-50 on if that was a sarcastic comment or if he was genuinely upset. I'm leaning towards upset because I was asking questions that would lead him to actually do his job and not get a big payday. He came back in, got snow and salt EVERYWHERE, and was making a big show out of carrying this pipe thawing machine around.

All in all, $315 and two hours later, I got my pipes unfrozen.
