I have American Home Shield and I had a toilet that was running, actually 2 and that the water lines were broke. I called and had Rick from Tri-County Plumbing come out. He replaced the guts (not the water lines) in both of them and was on his way in no time. After a few hours, the one toilet in the hallway started running again. I immediately called a recall and Rick came back out a couple of days later. He said the new flapper was faulty, apologized for it and replaced it. After he left, about an hour later the toilet started running again. I immediately called back at which time he came back out 2 day later and stated that the toilet would need to be replaced.

He said to give him one day and he would write it up and he would come out. He also tried to upsale the toilet and toilet seat and wanted to charge me 20.00 to install a new toilet seat. he finally stated he could get me an all in one system with toilet seat installed for no more money, I was onboard with that.

Later that night, after he left, he called and said that AHS would pay for everything except the water line. When I asked Rick why not he said ""I don't know"" but I would receive a call from them. He said if I wanted him to put a new water supply valve on it would be $66.00. I went to Ace Hardware for 10.00 and bought a quarter turn and installed it myself in 5 minutes.

The day he was to come I called AHS and asked why they would not cover the water supply line. Apparently, Rick called and said it was missing hardware and was not covered. The handle was laying in the corner, riight 1 foot away from the supply line. He never even asked about it, just said it was not covered. What a sneaky little bastard.

So he came out and replaced the toilet, but since he is a liar I told AHS to never call him again for me and I will NOT give him good ratings....He is a crook and a liar....

We used tri county through homeshield on our house because we had a leak in our upstairs drain. Rick the plumber ( so he says) came out and looked at the leaking drain from the main level where the drywall was cut back and. Said nope can't fix it and left. Stating that we needed a new shower pan and he's seen this a lot blah blah blah. Didn't even go upstairs and look at the shower itself. He was very unprofessional and he didn't do a thing to help. I had my brother come over who is very knowledgeable but he's not a plumber he took it apart figured the putty gasket needed replacing and 10$ later it was fixed. No leak who would of thought a machinist could do a better job then a plumbing company.

We had a plumbing emergency with sewage backing up from a basement toilet. It was beyond our abilities to fix and nobody could come out right away to help us. Rick had a full schedule but took the time to give me advice over the phone. Then he ended up making a spot in his schedule the next morning and did a great job getting our plumbing back in business. Rick was professional, knowledgeable, and very reasonably priced. If you have a plumbing issue, I highly recommend Rick and Tri-County Plumbing!

I too have American Home Shield and Rick who I think is the owner, was assigned to replace a kitchen faucet, a leaky faucet in a bathroom and fix a wobbly toilet in a rental home of mine.

He fixed the kitchen faucet nicely, so I thank him for that, and a bathroom faucet that was leaking, but balked about fixing the wax ring in the wobby toilet. First, he said he'd be glad to put a new wax ring on it but said I wouldn't be happy with the job because part of the linoleum on the floor had been stained from a leak 4 years ago when a new toilet had been put on.

When I said I didn't care about the floor stain and just wanted the wax ring, he said he had to call the warranty company for approval. I heard him tell the representative that the floor was ""all uneven and bumpy"" and they denied the job. I wondered how did we go from ""I'll be glad to put a wax ring on"" to I can't do it because the floor is all uneven and bumpy.

I asked him to show me where the floor was uneven and he pointed to a small air bubble about a foot away from the place where the wax ring would go. I banged on the floor to show it was rock solid. He could show me no sign of an uneven floor that he told the warranty company was there.

I said if that was all that was stopping him I could put a spot of adhesive there and reglue it. Or I would also sign a hold harmless saying that I would not hold him liable for any floor discoloration as it was pre-existing.

He then said in front of a handyman I had working on a shower door that if I wanted to pay him or American Home Shield wanted to pay him he'd fix it.

I said pointedly, isn't American Home Shield paying you and then he went on about how
I could say he damaged my floor and that it would not be up to his standards - and shortly after that said again if I wanted to pay him separately from the insurance he'd fix it and I have a witness who is not a friend or related to me in any way who heard him and said he couldnt believe what he was hearing.

I went to Lowes and bought a level and took three photos all around the toilet to show that every single bubble in the level was dead center and the floor had no uneveness and sent the photos to American Home Shield.

They sent a second plumber out who told them there was nothing wrong with my floor, and he put the wax ring on quickly and easily and was on his way.

Tri-County Plumbing solved the location of our home's mystery leak after a plumber from another local company failed to.

After wasting money on unnecessary and irrelevant repairs (that didn't even fix the problem) made by the other local plumbing company, Tri-County Plumbing found our leak. I'm so thankful we were put in touch with Tri-County Plumbing before the previous plumber could do anymore unnecessary (and costly) work. The plumber from Tri-County arrived on time and immediately went to work to find a solution to our problem. He was knowledgeable, thorough, and polite. And it didn't take him long to find the issue. Turns out it was much simpler than the previous plumbing company had suggested. The other company had planned to return to our home and dig up our yard to fix the leak but that wasn't even the problem! So thanks to Tri-County our yard is still intact and my bank account isn't out another $500+! I highly recommended them. 5 stars

The first time they came out he was not in a good mood or something and we were unhappy with the repair to a sink, but the toilet was repaired perfectly. We complained and came to find out that it was a miscommunication between the warranty company and the plumber. When he came out again, the warranty company again told him wrong, but this time he was polite, professional, and extremely helpfull, he figured out what the problem is and what is needed. And now that he knows that he is going to come back once he gets the right parts. The customer service was amazing and I look forward to using him with future plumbing needs.

We have a home warranty through American Home shield Warranty which I'd highly recommend to ANYONE who's not swimming in cash for repairs.

Our home is 7 years old and recently we had to call for service in our downstairs toilet and garbage disposal.

We live in Snohomish County so both times Tri-County was dispatched and called to schedule the repair in just hours. They're willing to work with our tight schedule and have Saturday appointments available if you're willing to wait a bit. Understandably those are in high demand.

They are courteous, friendly, clean and professional.

We had a stoppage in our kitchen sink that had been unclogged two times in the past by a different plumber. When Rick from Tri-County Plumbing came over, he spent about 10 minutes assessing the problem and said that there were some repairs that would be necessary, none of which were covered under our insurance- AHS. We did not have the money to do the repairs he thought necessary, so I asked him to simply do the quick fix of unclogging the drain using his snake tool, which the previous plumber had done with success in the past. The process had taken 15 minutes max. Also, I told him that we would schedule him to do the long term repair when we had the money. He refused to unclog the drain with the excuse being that he did not want to dirty his tools and he did not know how much backed up drain water would come out. He took our 75 dollars, which is how much we pay to have contractors come out with AHS, and made no repairs. I was quite surprised that he was unwilling to unclog our drain knowing our intentions of having the repairs done in the future. This guy got his money and did nothing in return. Very negative experience.

We noticed our hot water heater was leaking, and luckily have a home warranty. Called the warranty number and was connected with Rick at Tri County Plumbing. He came out the next day and actually arrived before his quoted arrival time. We was professional and courteous. The replacement went smooth and he even offered advise on another minor issue I mentioned.

I give four stars only because, in order to pay me deductible to him, I had to pay with a check. Being able to take credit cards would be much easier to deal with on my end.
