I'm sorry to see so many bad reviews. We have American Home Shield and unfortunately our water heater went out, this company is contracted with them and we had everything fixed within the week. I was getting really worried, Home Depot and Lowes and other places were at least 1-2 weeks out.

Rick came out, figured out all the equipment he would need to replace, advised me that the replacement that would be covered would be a base model and that I can pay for an upgrade which I wanted. He wanted to make sure we had the water heater that we would be happy with.

Rick knew it was difficult not having hot water and squeezed us in this morning to get it installed. He was even early! Very knowledgeable and was able to tell me that the home builder didn't even put a tray below the water heater like they should have among other things.

It sounds like there may be two companies with this name and it's unfortunate if the two are being mixed up. We had a great experience and hope others are able to give him a chance.

I typically don't waste time writing negative reviews, but this review is consistent with the others- and is worth noting with considering this business. I have a home warranty with 2-10 Homeowner. The assigned company to fix my plumbing leak was Tri-county. I called on Friday, spoke to Darren and was happy to get a Saturday morning appointment; 10-12 pm. At 12 pm, there was no call and no one showed up. I called and left a voicemail asking for a status. By 3 pm, there was no follow up. I called 2-10 and they informed me that Tri-County is the only ""in network"" plumber on their list and I can use another one and request reimbursement. By the way, another reviewer who left comments mentioned that reimbursements are low through the warranty company. That doesn't appear to be the case with 2-10. Another plumber gave me an estimate that is inline with the warrant amount. FYI.

Don't waste your time. We got Rick from the Anacortes location. What a horrible ""plumber"". He may know how to do things but he will try to scam you out of additional charges other than your home warranty service. He just makes stuff up without even doing any testing. I have a bad prv valve and expansion tank. All he did was measure the water pressure and try to adjust it, looked at the expansion tank for rust. Then goes about telling my home warranty my expansion tank was secondary damage from the prv failing. Keep in mind, he has no idea if it is or isn't because he didn't do any testing if it. Then goes on to tell them he needs to modify the current prv plumbing to our a new one on. This is because he's too lazy to find the right valve.

Trust us, don't do it. Go anywhere else. They'll do what they can to fleece you. No idea how they have agreements with warranty places.

This is a decent company... I got my water heater replaced in less than 24 hours of being approved for repair and finding a contradict that would work for the warranty company I'm with... Ive been covered by First American Home Warranty for over 15yrs and in that time I've learned it's this warranty company that causes bad customer reviews and also bad reputations for these contractors... they do the best they can with the horrible customer service from FAHW! It's the warranty company that causes all the problems not the contractors! They are slow to pay the contractors so I don't blame a lot of companies for not wanting to work for them! These contractors have to cover themselves when the warranty company doesn't pay them in timely manner. All in all FAHW is prolly the best out of all of them... but as a customer of them I don't even want to be with them anymore after the way some of their customer service has treated me!

My service request was assigned to this company through First American Home Warranty to service my garbage disposal which stopped working and could not be reset.

I phoned Tri-County as soon as I received First Am's text and spoke with the owner, Darren and made an appointment for Thursday, July 30th between 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm. At 3:00 pm
when no one had arrived, I called Darren again. He said he ""thought"" he had called me to cancel the appointment and asked if we could move it to the next day between 10:00 am and Noon. Again, no one showed up so I called Darren again at around 1:00 pm. This time he said that his technician had to do something with his vehicle and would be out as soon as possible.

Around 3:30 pm I received a message from a younger man who asked me to take a picture of my garbage disposal which is an InSinkErator Badger 9. He said he'd need to stop at the hardware store to pick up a replacement but lamented that his boss had to approve picking up my model rather than the cheaper Badger 1. I read to him the part of my contract with First American that said I am entitled to a like-featured replacement but he insisted that his boss would get mad at him if he bought the 9 and didn't get reimbursed from the home warranty company and that his boss was going to call the home warranty company for

Even though he was on his way to begin vacation, I knew that Darren had his cell phone with him so I called to explain what I had told his employee. Instead of listening, Darren became extremely agitated, yelled at me that he had to call the home warranty company to get verification, then HUNG UP ON ME!

I would NEVER do business with any vendor or service provider who had DISRESPECTED ME! I contacted First American Home Warranty and requested another plumber.

Too bad that I'm not able to leave a rating of ZERO STARS. Tri-County Plumbing and Darren are quite DEAD TO ME!

This company was dispatched to me through my warranty company. It took them 7 days to come fix leaking pipes to my water heater. I went without hot water for a WHOLE week. Initially came to inspect on Friday told me he'd be back Saturday morning at 8. Never showed up or called either I had to call him for him to tell me they needed to order the parts and that he would be back Monday. Ended up saying he would come Tuesday between 10-12 never showed up, never called, and sent me VM. I ended up calling my warranty company around 3 to complain they tell me he's on his way. I told them no I was no longer waiting around for them to come and that I wanted another company. They weren't able to find anyone else. He showed up the next day LATE, did what he needed to do in 15 mins or so. Told me my hot water should be back on in 20 mins. Tested the water out about an hour later still COLD. The lazy a** didn't relight the pilot. Worse service I've ever had in my life. I want to cancel my warranty as well for them cont to try to send him to do the repairs.

Worst plumber ever. Liar. Never ever use this company!

It was not our choice to use this company, but our home warranty company send a plumber, Darren.

First of all, past 5 days, Darren cancelled on us 4 times! The reasons were two car problems, ordering a parts which he admitted he didn't need it, and waiting for the unnecessary parts.

After canceling our 3 appointment, he finally showed up at 4th time, 30 mins late from our appointment, and said he doesn't have a right parts and left. He was there for 2 minutes!! He said he will come back to work on it the next morning at 6:00am! Who in the right mind would come 6 o'clock in the morning. However, we wanted to just be done with this, so my husband was there before 6 am the next day. Darren called my husband that his car broke down again, No way. What he was hoping is that my husband would say he won't be there at 6, but my husband showed up. So, he made an obvious lie about his car broken down. It is ridiculous!

When he told us his car broke down for the first time was on Sunday. He was told to work on Sunday by the home warranty company, but he did not want to work, so he made an excuse about car was broken down.

Never ever use this company. We wasted whole week.

I'm really surprised to read all these negative reviews because I had an excellent one! I also have American home shield home warranty. Our kitchen sink became backed up on both sides on February 15th. I did a service order online and Monday morning I called the place that was assigned our service call (it was another local plumbing company NOT Tricounty)and they squeezed us in that day. The guy that showed up was not friendly at all and walked in looked under the sink Then got up walked past me without looking at me or saying anything to me when out my front door and came back 10 minutes later with a snake. He proceeded to take apart the pipes under my sink. He never looked at me or said anything. It was very obvious that he had a bad cold because he was coughing continuously and was very congested. He did not bring his own Towels to clean up the water that was leaking out of the pipes so I supplied him with bath towels! After using the snake twice he asked for the closest bathroom was went in came back out and said he couldn't fix the clog because it was obviously further down than 40 feet and that's as long as his snake was. He told me that American home shield would probably just transfer my case to another plumber that could accommodate a longer snake. So he left and I called American home shield and while we were on the phone his report came through and he said in the report that we needed a clean out installed! He didn't mention anything to me about a clean out when he was at my house and had he asked me I would have shown him where it was! So he lied to the warranty company and then they denied my claim! I kept Calling and calling until I got someone who would listen to me and I explained to them we already had a clean out and that everyone in our state has one because it's required by law! So they assigned Tri county plumbing as a second opinion plumber. I spoke with Rick the owner on Tuesday and he said he would the over Friday morning. I explained to him what the other plumber said and he assured me that he would fix the problem one way or the other. He arrived exactly when he said he would and was very kind and actually chatted with me and smiled unlike the 1st plumber earlier in the week. He wanted to try his 40' snake before doing other Messier remedies. So he went in through my sink drain which enabled him to run hot water along with it and he had the clog cleared in less than 5 minutes! I was extremely pleased with him and with the service!

I took the day off to be at home while they fix my garbage disposal but they never showed up, no call from them either. I tried calling them 5 times and left voicemail but nobody got back to me.

I was busy and had my dad over at my house to be there when the plumber gets there. When my dad opened the door the plumber looked at my dad and completely changed his demeanor, while reluctantly going into my house. Then he tried to get out of doing the job and my dad felt like he didn't want to be in my house ( my house isn't in bad shape at all but my dad is Cuban and has darker skin). I feel horrible for putting my dad in that situation I should have known better that there are people still like that plumber. He barely did what I needed him to do and made my dad feel uncomfortable I highly do not recommend this company!
