Ken Roche, a licensed master plumber, owns Total Service PHD. From the age of 10, Ken was immersed in plumbing, learning from his father, a licensed master plumber. It's fair to say that plumbing is in Ken's DNA, earning him the title of ""plumbing PHD"". For 18 years, Ken has served the Steamboat community, initially as Roche Plumbing and Heating, demonstrating their reliability. They excel in these areas: plumbing, heating, drains, and sewers. They focus on outstanding customer service, are on call 24/7, and maintain the highest level of insurance in the industry. They have seen it all and are ready to manage any plumbing issue.

At the age of 25, Ken obtained his Masters License and founded Roche Plumbing & Heating in 1994. With Ken's expertise, the business quickly grew, shifting focus from custom homes and condos to comprehensive plumbing services. He initiated Core Bore in 1997 for concrete demolition, but sold it in 2001 to establish ""Monsters of the Underground"". In 2001, he expanded his services to Roche Trenchless Plumbing, utilizing advanced video technology, locators, and high-pressure jetters to tackle tough drain and sewer issues. This innovative approach allows his skilled team to line existing pipes with top-quality epoxy and polyester, repairing old sewers without excavation. Currently, Ken has renamed the business Total Service P.H.D. to showcase the extensive services provided.

With a father who was a master plumber and general contractor, Ken Roche is inherently equipped for this line of work. Ken hails from upstate New York, graduated from Niagara University in 1991, and relocated to Steamboat Springs to try out the ""ski bum"" lifestyle. Like many, he soon realized that the ""lifestyle"" was not what it seemed and sought stable employment. Ken re-entered the field he knew best: plumbing. At the age of 25, he secured his Masters License and launched Roche Plumbing & Heating in 1994, ultimately rebranding to Total Service, PHD. Ken's ""one call does it all"" philosophy at Total Service covers all aspects, from major excavation and sewer repairs to perimeter drains and septic systems. His experienced team is ready to manage it all with a single phone call. This includes general contracting services for significant flood damage caused by frozen and burst pipes.
