At the helm of Total Service PHD is Ken Roche, a master plumber with a license. From the age of 10, Ken was immersed in plumbing, learning from his father, a licensed master plumber. It's fair to say that plumbing is in Ken's DNA, earning him the title of ""plumbing PHD"". For 18 years, Ken has served the Steamboat community, initially as Roche Plumbing and Heating, demonstrating their reliability. They are proficient in plumbing, heating, drain, and sewer solutions. Customer service is their top priority, with 24/7 availability and the best insurance coverage in the business. They have encountered every challenge and are equipped to handle it all.

At the age of 25, Ken obtained his Masters License and founded Roche Plumbing & Heating in 1994. Ken's leadership propelled the business forward, evolving from custom home projects to a full-service plumbing operation. In 1997, he ventured into concrete demolition with Core Bore, but sold it in 2001 to create ""Monsters of the Underground"". He expanded into Roche Trenchless Plumbing in 2001, using state-of-the-art video equipment, locators, and high-pressure jetters to resolve complex drain and sewer challenges. His team can line existing pipes with premium epoxy and polyester, effectively repairing old sewers without excavation. Today, Ken has rebranded the business as Total Service P.H.D. to reflect the wide range of services offered.

Being the son of a master plumber and general contractor, Ken Roche is destined for this profession. Ken hails from upstate New York, graduated from Niagara University in 1991, and relocated to Steamboat Springs to try out the ""ski bum"" lifestyle. As with many, he discovered that the ""lifestyle"" was not as appealing as it appeared and needed to find steady work. He turned back to the profession he was most familiar with: plumbing. He earned his Masters License at 25 and started Roche Plumbing & Heating in 1994, later transforming it into Total Service, PHD. Ken employs a ""one call does it all"" philosophy with Total Service, handling everything from major excavation and sewer repairs to perimeter drains and septic systems. His experienced team is ready to manage it all with a single phone call. This also encompasses general contracting for extensive flood damage from frozen and burst pipes.
