I'm surprised about all the positive reviews on here.
I called these guys yesterday and inquired about a problem and fees but all they'll tell you is that they charge $69 for when they send a plumber over.
$69 DOLLARS just to drive to your customer's place? These guys will not clarify with you that diagnosing fees are another story which is $189 that I had to say yes to cause what do you guys want me to do say no? And still pay the $69 Fee? freakin ridiculous. How are you guys' a business?

I called this morning to have the tub/shower faucet in my seldome used guest bath un-stuck. Over time, it is not the first time I needed a plumber un-stick this seldom used shower fixture! Edgar came out before the promised time today, (same day mid you :-) I thought I would need to replace the whole unit. Instead, he encouraged me to let him see if he could fix the existing fixture. (I had a new unit purchased and ready to install.) OK, well, he got it off the wall. I had struggled to get water to start then had to use a rubber mallet with force to get the flow to stop! I was sure the fixture was a goner!!

Edgar had the unit off the wall in no time, showed me the cartridge that had been in place more years than I care to number.(It looked it too!!) He installed a brand new cartridge - had it on in no time and voila! It works like new and he saved me the bundle it would have cost to install the new unit.

I highly recommend this firm. It is family owned, they are courteous, clean, fast and respond when they are called. They are amazing and I feel the price is fair...Edgar actually saved me money. Now, how often does that happen???? These people are good at their craft, honest and eager to please.

I needed a plumber on a Sunday and checked out the plumbers on Yelp. There were three listed and I contacted all three. The prices were pretty comparable and I went with the one who could get here the soonest. Being a Sunday, it wasn't cheap. He arrived in about an hour and was done in about 20 minutes.

Loved the quick response to my request. It was very appreciated as I was at my wits end dealing with my home warranty assigned contractor who was stringing me along for months!
Jose was out the same day to inspect and provide a diagnosis. He was able to get the necessary part and returned the next morning to fix my central heating system. The service Jose provided was exceptional and very competitive. I will call him again in a heartbeat!! Can't thank you enough for everything!

This company is truly amazing! I own and vacation rental property, so when something comes up I need it addressed promptly. I had a drain issue back in October, I called them and got everything resolved with a couple of hours before the next guest checked in. Today I had a heating issue. I called first thing in the morning, and again the issue was resolved within a couple of hours. With vacation rentals timing and promptness is everything, and this company has come through for me every single time I have needed them. They are able to respond quickly AND resolve the issues I have. I highly highly recommend them!

i'm sorry that your experience with us was not up to your standards. we came out to do a free estimate, which we offer for any job, big or small. we didn't charge you for our time to come out and inspect the project, which i think is more than fair. from my understanding, my service tech was not comfortable with doing the work you requested. as it was not up to ca code. which is why we chose not to do the job. again, i apologize for your not so pleasant experience, if there is anything i can do for you, please let me know.

people like you are the reason so many people have issues with trusting contractors/plumbers. there's so many rotten ones, homeowners never know 'what' will pop up at their door.. you're a great example!

They showed up to have 2 new bathroom sink faucets. Their estimate was excessive, but we had company coming. The plumber caused a problem with one of the outlets and ended up soldering to save it then charged me for it. The price was a total rip-off and would never use them again

I had a problem one night with a leaking gas line inside my home. It was to the point that the house reeked strongly of gas and the gas company had to shut off service at the main for safety, leaving me with no hot water, stove or heat. Reached out to Total Plumbing and they were able to send Juan out promptly the next morning. He was able to quickly pinpoint multiple leaks and get started on repairs. He was very courteous and efficient, taking the time to explain exactly what he found and what needed to be fixed. He installed a brand new pipe and connections in a cramped crawl space area by the end of the day, and the gas company was able to restore service immediately. As a first-time homeowner, I really appreciate the high quality of service that Total Plumbing provided, solving a dangerous situation in a timely manner at a reasonable price.

Update and another great review for Total Plumbing. The AC was not working in our house in SLO. Called Jose (had used him a few years ago for something else). He came out immediately the same day and diagnosed the problem. Fixed! Super happy, once again!
