Requested an HVAC tuning service. Despite confirming the appointment 3 times include on the day of the appointment, they didn't show up. When I called back they didn't answer the phone and there was no voicemail. It was embarrassing in front of my tenant and a waste of all day waiting for these bozos. Don't waste your time - they are not worth it!

I gave this company a one star because they're so annoying. They kept calling my house even after I told them I did not needed their service so then I would block their telephone number little and behold they would call from another number. I called and reported it to their office several times before it stopped.
I made an appointment and received the time window of 10:00 to 2:00. I received the email and thought I was ?to go. By 12:45 nobody had contacted me so I called them. I was told in 25 minutes someone would get to me on an ETA for the technician. They never called so I called them back again at 2:00 now that my appointment was technically over. They told me they never had me on the schedule and they had no idea why anybody even scheduled me because they didn't have anybody on call that day. Meanwhile I received the email, called somebody at 12:45, and still never received any notification that there was never an appointment made. I will never be calling Total Comfort again for any of my needs.
The service was OK. I am a Disabled Army Veteran and I was charged almost $500 to install a $10.00 capacitor. I would not use them again because I feel they ripped me off in price. Beware ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Is0pv2Qnza0
Art W.Total comfort now ARS is great until they get your money. Installed my system a couple years ago and already having issues with it. I've called their office everyday for 7 straight days and sometimes twice a day. They have yet to respond to my concerns or call me back.
UPDATED: they did fix the issue.. they're number 1 mistake joining ARS.
Total Comfort after day 1 , telling me it'll take 4 weeks to fix, it took Total Comfort 10 days for a supervisor to respond, and 11 days to fix. Starting with the technician that came out the first time diagnosed the wrong problem. Had I waited the full 4 weeks at 80 plus degrees in my house I would have had to wait longer for a competent technician.
So, although the problem is fixed I'm not happy howling it took someone with competence to come out and relook.
Your first problem is NOT the technician though, it's having a call center in Florida that knows nothing about customer service.
For all edification, no matter what number you call, it all goes to Florida
Nate Lee is the Service Tech that helped us today. Nate was very friendly and good at explaining what is going on with our HVAC unit. We are very impressed with Nate's knowledge and expertise.
AC tech quoted $200/Lb for a recharge. called 3 different companies and they all asked where they getting their numbers from and all gave me a quote for $90/LB. This company is overpriced and just wants to make money. Not worth your time.
I would give them -5 stars if I could. Our air conditioning unit stopped working yesterday, 5/22/2024 around 12:30 PM. We called Total Comfort and they said that they would send someone out, which they did.
The ""Technician's"" name was Therance Djoendia.
He stated that ""your compressor is not working at all and is bad and needs to be replaced."" He then offered an ""instant but temporary solution."" He stated that ""he could put a part on it to BOOST the compressor to get it to work temporarily for $1,200 and until he could send out a Total Comfort Specialist to recess and give me a quote.""
At this point I said "" wait, what!? Oh no no no"" and called my husband, put it on speaker, and handed the phone to him so he could relay the same to my husband to which my husband also said ""no, we can't do that today, no we aren't going to do that. Just leave it like it is and we will figure something else out."" To which the Technician then stated ""oh, hold on, hold on a moment, let me see what I can do."" (starts tapping on his tablet) and then proceeds to tell my husband ""oh, I can take $400 off the price and do it for you right now today for $800.""
By this time we are justifiably upset because he is obviously trying to screw us out of money which did NOT happen.
We still had to pay a $109 ""Service Call"" fee :(
Fast forward to today, 5/23/2024 a different Technician from a completely different company came out at 6pm, his diagnosis of the issue with our AC unit: ""Ma'am the capacitor on the unit isn't working and needs to be replaced."" I asked him ""what about the compressor?"" And he said ""no, your compressor and everything else is just fine, however whoever you had out here yesterday switched the wiring from the compressor to the capacitor causing neither one of them to work. I have a new capacitor that I can put on and switch the wiring back to how it is supposed to be."" I said ""okay great!"" He was out there for about 15 minutes, knocked on my door, came inside, turned on the thermostat, went back out, checked the unit it again (as I put my hand to the vent inside the house to check and it was blowing cold air) he came back inside and checked the vents as well and said ""okay, I think you are good to go and shouldn't have any more problems."" I said ""oh my gosh, thank you so much!"" And asked him about the part the other guy wanted to put on for $1200, then $800 and he pulled up the part on his phone and showed me, it WAS LITERALLY A $15 PART!!!!
Total Comfort needs to change their name to: Total Crap, Total Discomfort, or Total BS.
Shame on you and your shady, dishonest, deceitful, trifling, scheming, lying, crooked so called ""Technician.""
I will not group all of your techs in with Therance Djoendia, because that would not be fair to any of the good ones you may have, and I would certainly hope not all of your Techs are like this one, but for all of your other techs out there: if you operate and treat people like this it's only a matter of time before you are caught and exposed, which is NOT good for you Total Comfort at all, because you will cease to exist with this type of business practice of trying to provide fraudulent services and offering outrageously priced parts and unnecessary labor for something that is not even what the problem is instead of being honest, diagnosing the issue and recommending ONLY the required/necessary services, parts and labor to fix the issue, NOT cause one or create one that lines up with what you want to get paid for so that the Service Call was worth your time. Your website states:

Similar experience as some others who have posted here. They missed the Monday appointment, rescheduled to Thursday, which they also missed, rescheduled to Saturday and SURPRISE! they missed that appointment too. Three strikes and you're out. If you're looking for reliability / dependability, look elsewhere because you won't find it with this company.
