Total Comfort touts its expertise inheating cooling and plumbing.bu t my recent experience shows that they don't have in house inventory to complete a job in a timely manner.
On March 14 their capable technician said the Mitsubishi heating/ cooling unit would have ti be ckeaned using a special kit and he would have to come back. After several calls i was told it would have to be ordered snd the service delayed. The unit is the only source of upstairs heat so sleeping downstairs for over a week in a reclining chair after surgery has been my option.
Following more phone calls always initiated by me i still have no information as to WHEN to expect service. The quoted cost for this is $450.00. Will there be any adjustment for the long delay and inconvenience? Stay tuned!

I had a furnace issue. The tech from total comfort quoted me 1900 dollars worth of repairs amd replacements. Got a differant company today, none of the stuff total said was bad needed replacement. Problem was an easy fix, only cost 89 bucks. When I spoke to service manager at total comfort, he pretty much called me a liar. I've used them a few times over the years, but NEVER again.

Our heater went out and they sent a tech out. He was very skilled and knowledgeable. He was able to show us with a camera probe that the unit had cracked and was leaking carbon monoxide into the house. They were able to get a sales representative the next day and he worked with me to get me financed which was difficult because I just bought the place and had new accounts on my credit report. The next day they had the installers out taking out the old unit and installing the new unit. They also lent us some heaters to put in the house to keep our place warm for those couple of days at no cost which was a very kind gesture.

I would do business with this company again.

I appreciate Jerry Greene taking the time to go into the crawl spaces (I have two) to figure out what my problem was instead of telling me ""wait and see"" as others have. I now know I'm getting the most out of my new system despite old duct work.

April 13 I had ARS Total Comfort come out to repair my AC unit I had previously used the co & been happy w/ them this was a completely different experience. When the tech came out, he was at my house for 20 minwhen he told me my capacitor was bad & he couldnt get my unit to start up w/o replacing the capacitor & putting a new hard start kit on it(my unit had a previous kick start part on it) That the unit would not start w/just replacing the capacitor by itself. He also told me that even though the unit had come on he still thought it was sluggish & there was oil leaking for the unit & a panel had a burn patch on it & the compressor was failing. In addition he would need to add 2 bottles of refrigerant to the unit my total to fix the unit so that it would work would be between $1,100-$1,400 & he couldnt guarantee that the unit would work for any length of time bc it was in such horrible cond. He suggested that I have a salesman come out from his co (who could be there in 2 hours) to sell me a new unit for $10K Bc it would be better for me to buy a new unit than fix my unit.
I didnt believe this diagnostic & wanted 2nd opinion the next day I had another air co come out. They put a new capacitor on & the unit came on (no hard start kit needed) the air coming was 58 degrees(no refrigerant needed) in add the tech for the from the co did not seeing any oil leaking or burnt area & the compressor was working properly (contradicting total comfort). I was charged $319. $99 for the service call & $220 for the capacitor. That was 3 weeks ago & the unit is still working phenomenally.
I feel like I was scammed. My unit needed 1 part to fix it not 5. They did not give me a true diagnostic they told me lies & then tried to upsell me. They were not there to fix my unit. I have tried to speak to someone at numerous times they have not returned my calls. I even told them if I did not get a call back that I would contact the BBB this did not sway them. I do not know how many more people they have done this to but I cannot believe that I am the only one they tried to scam.

I set up an hvac tune up on my day off today. I had a window of arrival between 8-12. My husband was home while I went to drop my son off at school at 7:30. I was told I would be contacted 30-45 minutes ahead of arrival and upon VERBAL confirmation then they would dispatch the tech.

I received an automated text at 8:02 that the tech was on the way. I called my husband to let him know since he was home. I received a survey from the company at 8:17 along with an invoice.

Confused, I headed home. I pulled up at 8:31 and the work truck was in my other parking space with who I assume was the tech inside. I smiled at him and pulled in. He drove off.

I went inside and asked my husband if they already finished. He said they never came. So, they showed up, didn't call for the verbal confirmation like indicated in their email, didn't knock, and left.

I called the company and they apologized and called dispatch while I was on hold. She said she couldn't get ahold of anyone and said she would send an urgent message and send a tech. I agreed because I did have the window of 8-12.

An hour later, I hadn't heard anything so I called back. The person who answered indicated they still have the note in to dispatch and they should be sending a tech out soon.

I waited until the window was over, at 12:00, and called back and asked to speak with a manager. This was a different person who asked if there was anything she could help with. I told her the entire story. She apologized and tried to get ahold of a manager. She couldn't get ahold of a manager and said she would send an urgent message with all of the notes to a manager and have them call me. She asked if there is anything else she could let them know. I let her know i no longer wanted the service, wanted the invoice to be deleted, and wanted to speak to a manager. She was very nice and let me know she would let them know.

It is now almost 7:00 at night and I never heard from a manager, didn't have a tech come out, and have a $124 invoice for no work.

Both Dereck and Aaron was very professional by being very polite and friendly when they enter my home. I'm a home when I get a project to be replace or fix I like to observe sometime while the tech replace the equipment.

Derek and Aaron both say it was OK to be there while they were doing their job , because as a home owner you should be interested in what is being replace in your home. Now those are technicians that's have totally confident in performing their job.

If any my family has any kind of heating or air conditioning failure i would recommend both Dereck and Aaron from Total Comfort Co .

Also the maintenance guy did an excellent job pointing out the issue with the 21 year old heating pump system. This what made me decided it was time to replace it.

The repsentative Andrew was very professional as well making sure i had the right type of Hvac system to replace the old one in my home and made sure i would get the one i prefer so i could get the tax rebate for 2023. Thank u for being an awesome team from Total Comfort.

Do not use this company. I ordered a water heater from Lowe's in October 2022 and Lowe's contracted with Total Comfort (TC) to do the installation. I paid $2,266 cash upfront and it has been a horrible experience. Three months later after countless phone calls, wasted time, and a lot of lukewarm showers, I have zero confidence in Total Comfort to fix it. Put bluntly, they are not competent. Do not use them.

On the day of my installation, I waited at home during the four-hour timeframe and no one showed up. I called TC who said ""Oh yeah, there was a technical problem getting your water heater and we can't do it today, someone was supposed to have called you."" No one called me. I just waited four hours for nothing. But I say fine, let's get it installed ASAP.

I wait another week until they can come back out. The guy comes out, installs the water heater, and leaves. I go to take a shower and there is no hot water. TC sends the same guy back the next day who says the circulation pump is dead and a new one has to be ordered. A circulation pump reduces the amount of time you have to wait before getting hot water. He puts a bypass on so that I can get hot water and orders a new pump.

For the next eight weeks (two months!) I call TC every week to ask if the new pump has arrived, and if so, can we please schedule installation. Every week they say they will check, and that this is a high priority, and that they'll call me back soon. No one ever calls me back.

I do this for eight weeks--through the holidays--and no one calls me back. Finally, I call Lowe's and they call TC and determine that TC never ordered the pump. TC orders the pump and says they'll install tomorrow. The next day comes and TC calls me to say that they ordered the wrong pump. At this point, all I can do is laugh. Of course they ordered the wrong pump. So they order the correct pump and come out in a few days to install. They do so and water is now less hot than before the pump was installed. They test the water heater's thermostat and heating elements and verify the unit is not defective. The problem isn't the parts, it's the labor.

I call TC and they send a guy out who installs a return valve to try to limit cold water from mixing with hot water before the pump sends it on it way. I now get water that is kind of hot, but only for a few minutes before plummeting to a warm temperature. At this point, it's been three months since I initially ordered my water heater from Lowe's. I am cutting my losses and using a different company to fix Total Comfort's mess. I have spent so much time and energy fighting with this company to get hot water, and they cannot deliver.

Bear in mind that I paid $2,266 up front. I haven't been offered any type of refund as compensation for this abysmal ordeal. Save your money and sanity and choose another company.

We have been customers of Total Comfort Heating & Air for over 21 years and have always had great service and felt very good about the product. However, we arrived home from vacation on Nov 19 and found our heating unit was not working at all. The Total Comfort technician came to our house on Nov 21, diagnosed the problem and said the unit needed a new part. Supposedly that part was ordered on Nov 21. It is now 7 weeks later, Jan 6 and WE STILL HAVE NO HEAT! We have sent e-mails directly to TRANE, been assigned case numbers, had the issue escalated from tier 2 to tier 3 but have yet to be assigned to a case manager or received any word on when this will be resolved. WE NEED HEAT and we cannot get anyone, either from Total Comfort or Trane to call us, give us an update, or resolve the issue. Since Total Comfort was bought out by ARS, I would not recommend anyone to work with them or the TRANE products.
