TJ Robb - Yolorepairmaster
Company Overview
HVAC, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and commercial refrigeration repair. I am semi-retired now. Bringing 50 years of knowledge. I’m not focused on making a living, but rather to assist people and enhance my retirement income, so my rates are lower than most. I focus on serving seniors, as well as those on fixed incomes.
I have proudly served Yolo County residents and businesses for more than 30 years. In 1977, I completed my education at an A/C and refrigeration school. I’ve been a licensed California State Contractor since 1991. In my 54 years, I have learned a great deal about standard trades. I now focus on mechanical repair and installation. In my spare time, I enjoy maintaining a 1956 T-Bird.

Paula E.TJ is FIVE STARS! He is responsive, prompt, does a great job, has a fair price, is nice, and multi-talented. There is no need to go to anyone else and if you do, you bad service at a much higher price!
Howard F.TJ is like having your grandpa come over and fix things. Trustworthy, honest, dependable, reliable, consistent. Results meet or exceed expectations.
Stop looking, and send him a message now. Your troubles will be over shortly!
TJ is the guy to call when something breaks. He enjoys a challenge and has diagnosed and fixed our A/C on short notice. On another occasion he replaced an exterior water pipe in a hard-to-reach location that had developed a pinhole leak and was spraying my house. He is very knowledgeable, capable, experienced and happy to explain what he's doing, the problem he finds and the solution.
Gage H.Using the Yelp messaging feature I reached out to a number of HVAC firms. Most were communicative, a few polite, one informative but what made TJ stand out was that he *CARED.* He was concerned that I (being in rural Yolo) might not have prompt access to service. That approach to life tells a lot about the character of a person and this is someone I think can be counted on. Thanks TJ, I appreciate the compassion. God bless.
TJ got back to me almost instantly. He fixed my bathtub drain quickly and efficiently. Friendly, efficient and professional. Thank you!!!
Laurie G.JT called right back and fit us into his schedule that day. He was pleasant and described what he did clearly. He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. We will call him again when we need an electrician.
Joni M.Saturday morning thought I'd call around and get some idea of who would be a good company in Woodland to do a maintenance check on my a/c unit. Called TJ, talk about offensive....he stated he is too expensive for Esparto and that I should call someone local?? Too far for him to drive out here. I said there's no one closer locally than Woodland and it's not too far, do you know where it is? He states yes and name LaPlazita and the gas station in Madison.....haha ok then starts raising his voice that his van only gets 7 miles to the gallon blah blah blah, not helpful and very rude of him....not sure how this guy stays in business. Note to people reading this....Esparto isn't all poor people, a lot of work!! Wow.
Kelly J.TJ was a HUGE help and was very kind and responsive in helping us to install a dishwasher in our 1970s era house. It required him to do plumbing work, electrical work --basically a little bit of everything to get it installed. It was pretty clear right from the beginning that we had the right team on the job. I don't know how we would have managed to get it in otherwise without spending a fortune hiring different trades to do different parts of the job. TJ's rates were very reasonable and the quality of the work was stellar. SO glad we went with him!!
It's Sunday morning, I just got home from a 72hr work shift and both toilets are clogged. I start a 96hr work shift tomorrow and my family needs this clog cleared. I called 3 different local 24-hour plumbers. All I got was voicemail and no return phone call, except for TJ. He answered my call and we agreed at a time after I got home from church. He arrived at the scheduled time and was very friendly and polite. He promptly began clearing the clog in our sewer line. He charged me a reasonable price and even stayed long enough to talk to the public works representative, on my behalf, about my sewer problem.
I would recommend him for any of your plumbing needs. And a bonus, he does more than just plumbing. I definitely will keep him in my address book contacts.
Peter K.Yolo County is not as big on ""Yelp"" compared to the Bay Area. So as a Landlord looking for a Handyman, Electrician, Plumber, etc. One can only use reviews, if there are no referrals or word of mouth to trust.
I was looking for someone to fix a furnace at a property in Woodland. I first called a different company in Woodland w/ only 5 reviews, but had 5 stars. They did not do a very good job, b/c after their visit the furnace only worked for one day. Then, they tried to charge me for another visit to come back.
How do I know they did not do the bare minimum, so that they would have to come back again??
I then called Home Depot, and b/c they do not have technicians to install furnaces, they use a third party. The third party is not very responsive, b/c I had to call and text multiple times to get information on my estimate. Once I got the estimate, I was told there were other problems he saw separate from the furnace, which in turn would add additional expenses. Definitely not going with them. Also I cross checked the third party with Yelp and they had mostly good reviews as well, but some bad said the same things about being unresponsive.
Then I found TJ Robb. His name sounded familiar with an Electrician I used in Davis. After calling, it so happened TJ was the same person I used for a previous job. I had TJ go out to the home in Woodland and he was able to fix the furnace the RIGHT WAY!
TJ was very responsive with phone calls, and his pricing is very fair. I do not know why I didn't think of TJ sooner and wasted money with other companies.
Be careful when choosing a business. There are a lot of companies having their friends leave fake reviews to bolster their rating.
You can tell in the Yolo County area b/c the small businesses do not receive many reviews. And the reviews that they do receive, the reviewers have only reviewed one or two places and their profile is bare. Those aren't real Yelpers.
I realized the two previous businesses I mentioned above had some fake reviews. But TJ all his reviews on his page are real.
Go with TJ Robb, he's a jack of all trades and has a wide array of skills.
