I rarely write reviews, but the service I received from Johnny absolutely warranted one. Johnny is one of those rare type of people that you hope to find on a random search through yelp. I went through 10 bids on yelp to fix my main water shut off valve and drain leak. Johnny's bid was the most competitive out of the bunch and after talking to Johnny, you could tell he was honest and truthful about my situation. He gave me the worst and best case scenarios and I trusted that he wasn't trying to upsell or overcharge me. He's an expert in his craft and completely reliable. He came on time, communicated with me throughout the process and very respectful in regards to the cleanliness of his work area and my home.

We had a major leak inside the walls and caused a mold issue. Johnny came in and temporarily moved our water heater so that we would still have hot water to use. It took awhile for us to remove our walls and have it fixed with two other companies. Johnny came back and coordinated with my schedule to fix the leak and reconnect the water heater back to its original
position. He's on time and reasonably priced.

Johnny is honest and professional. He seems to be a plumber with integrity and because Tier 1 is his own business that he started, he really cares about the customer and goes above and beyond to take care of you. What more could you ask for? I moved into a new house and the water pressure coming into the house was too high, making us susceptible to leaks. My home warranty company, American First Warranty, first assigned me to some plumbing companies with 1 to 3 stars on yelp. I asked to be reassigned to a better company, and they re-assigned me to Tier 1. I was impressed when I spoke to Johnny on the phone because of the questions he asked me and because he was interested in helping me as a customer, not necessarily hustling me. In fact, at first he thought I did not have a problem and advised me to go to home depot and buy a water pressure reader for $20. When it became evident several days later that there was a problem with our water pressure, only then did he come in to replace the water pressure regulator. He even went out and bough an extra part because he saw that our handle was too difficult to turn. I highly recommend Johnny. Honest, nice guy who you can feel safe entrusting your home to.

Having moved from Canada to our new home in beautiful California, we were hugely disappointed to get a slab leak (apparently something common in this part of the world) a month later...However, we were very lucky to come across Tier 1 Leak Detection. Apart from being highly professional, punctual, reliable and attentive to the smallest detail, Johnny is a very polite, well-mannered and generally pleasant person to deal with.
There is a reason why his company gets 5 stars reviews! I would highly recommend Tier 1 Detection to anyone encountering plumbing problems.

Two weeks after moving into our Laguna Niguel home we got a slab leak. Our garage was flooded and a stream was running down our driveway. Late into the evening our home warranty company was able to get Tier 1 Leak Detection to come over to find and fix the leak.

The owner Johnny showed up like the Calvary. He was friendly and delightful and very professional. He found the leak and told us he could fix it. But to my surprise he told us it would most likely be a temporary fix because our copper pipes were so badly corroded and he recommended we repipe the house. He recommended a repiping company, which we confirmed was a good company through Yelp and some local friends that had recently repiped their house.

I've never met someone so honest and someone that was looking out for me and my family. Johnny called our home warranty company and had them send me the money they were going to pay him to fix our slab leak and he told them to put it towards our repipe job. AMAZING! After our house was repiped, Johnny checked on us to make sure the job was done and to see if we were okay.

If all businessmen were as honest and awesome as Johnny and Tier 1, this country would be such a better place! I would recommend Johnny and Tier 1 to anyone! I have him saved on my smartphone and will call him anytime I need plumbing help. Tier 1 and Johnny, making America great and safe from water leaks.

I found Tier1 Leak Detection through Yelp after reading all the customers review. I am happy to say we made the right decision to go with Tier1. I called Tier1 late Sunday night and left a voicemail and in less than an hour I received a call from Johnny, the owner of Tier1, which was not expected. Johnny came out the next day and he went through all the bathrooms to try to find the leak source, and luckily the leak is only in one area. Johnny repaired the leak and he kept the area very cleaned. Johnny is very professional, on time, and his price is very reasonable.

I highly recommend Tier1 Leak Detection if you ever in need for leak detection service.

Last Thursday I realized we had a leak in our house(Again). I suspected it was another pin hole leak in the copper piping and started looking on Yelp for someone to find and cap the leak. We reached out to multiple top rated leak detection specialists and decided to use Tier 1 based on a friendly phone conversation and a fair (on the lower end of others) price.
Johnny (owner) arrived promptly when he said he'd be there and met me with a smile and positive attitude. I showed him where I thought the leak was in the wall and he got to work (after nicely covering his shoes with temporary slippers to keep the house clean). He had all of the nice leak detection equipment and found that this was not in the walls and was actually a slab leak. He was really good at explaining what the problem was and his planned course of action. Johnny capped the line as I already had a re-pipe company scheduled to work a few days later. He cleaned the areas he worked around and wiped down the floors. I was nervous about what I was going to be charged because it turned into a slab leak. Johnny charged me the price quoted over the phone and I was relieved! I felt the least I could do was write a nice review for him as he made the unfortunate situation go very smoothly and at a great price. Hopefully the re-pipe will solve my leak issues but if you are in need of repairs definitely give Johnny a call to locate and fix your leaking plumbing!

Had water leaking in my garage and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I decided to call Tier 1 Leak Detection and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Tier 1 was quick, professional, and courteous. Quickly found the root of my problem and gave me several different options for getting it fixed.

Let me begin by saying that Johnny is the best I have ever come across, period. I had a hot water slab leak under my wooden kitchen floors and kitchen sink, and in lieu of bypassing, cutting through drywall and repiping, I opted to have Johnny cut through the concrete, replace the piping with new copper piping, and reconcrete. Johnny laid out all the options and we picked what made sense to us. Johnny was PHENOMENAL!! He did everything from start to finish, meaning jackhammer through the concrete, replace piping, mix new concrete, pour concrete, etc. And all this while being flexible with my flooring guys who were pulling out all of the wood. He even helped the flooring guys move my massive pool table! But what was the icing on the cake is Johnny was here from 9 AM until 9:30 PM, finishing in 1 day as promised, stopping his work as needed to accommodate the flooring guys, and our needs for water. He didn't leave until the job was done. Didn't stop for meals either. And didn't rush with his work. And he warranties it for 5 years! I wouldn't even bother calling anyone else for any major plumbing issues. All in all, he is a trustworthy, extremely efficient and thorough, fair, honest and hard working individual, who earned an A+ in our book. And he gave us an extra $100 off probably because he saw how frazzled I was with all of this, and a previous horrible experience with a contractor. Thank you Johnny! If only more contractors were like you!!
