Recommended Customer Reviews

Always professional, and practical advice - quick to schedule and I'm confident that Brad won't let me sweat the small stuff.

Would highly recommend to anyone, family or friend. They hit all the marks you would look for...responsive, transparent, informative and fair.

My hot water pilot assembly died before the warranty expired. I was told by manufacturer that Thousand Oaks Plumbing is the authorized contractor. When I called I was told the charge is $125/hr. and it would not take more than an hour. The plumber came and he insisted that I was misinformed and the charge is $180. I did not dispute it. The plumber, Jesse, then pointed me to a ""cold"" water supply leak above the tank which he had coved with a hand towel. That was a surprise. He quoted me another $170 to replace both the hot water and cold water supply line and eventually agreed to reduce it to $146. I was in hurry to leave so I agreed.
When I returned, my gardener told me he saw the plumber loosen the supply line to make it look like a leak. The next morning I called and spoke with the owner, John. He was very obnoxious and would not accept my explanation. He hung up on me saying ""he does not understand the point of this conversation"". I am left with no choice but to stop the check that I had given the plumber and re-issue another check for $180 for the pilot assembly that I originally called for service.
I hope my story helps you in watching out for scams by these unscrupulous plumbers.

Great communication great service I would use them again. I think plumbing prices are high but that's just what it costs. The issue I had was fixed with no drama.

Used Thousand Oaks Plumbing for the first time today, Joe was our plumber. He was prompt, courteous and professional. I will definitely recommend this company.

The best plumber!!! Jesse is great, smart, and professional! I would highly recommend this plumbing company.

Given the other great reviews, we were hoping for a more positive experience. After consulting with another plumber and doing our own research, we discovered (after the fact) that this company charged almost double what another company said it should have cost (TO Plumbing charged us $41 for a part that Lowe's had for $9, for example). When I asked for clarification about why it was costing so much, the answers I got were jargon-laden and seemed intended to confuse me. Additionally, when I inquired about the sediment in the water heater when the technician was here, I was told that the only option was to replace it... no mention of flushing it or replacing the heating element as a first response, as was recommended by a different plumber the following day. We were also told that the cost to replace the water pressure regulator was $150 more than another company told us... upon reviewing the estimate from TO Plumbing, we realized that they were quoting such a high price perhaps because they didn't have the correct part that we needed (a single union), so they were going to charge extra to install a double union regulator since that was apparently what they had on hand, even though it wasn't an urgent repair so they could've gotten the correct part and come back a few days later.
I can't help but wonder if the fact that I'm a relatively young female contributed to why the technician took advantage of me with pricing? I had the sense the whole time that I was being taken advantage of. We advise you to look elsewhere for transparent plumbing work.

Today marked the third time I've hired Thousand Oaks Plumbing, & once again Daniel Guiney's plumbers delivered. On Sunday, April 9th, we discovered a water leak in one of the exterior garden beds outside our home. At 7:45 am I called T. Oaks Plumbing, explaining our concerns. By 9:20 am Joe F. was at our house, clearly explaining the possible causes, & began an excavation. He expertly determined the source of the leak (a leaking section of PVC irrigation piping), replaced the flawed joint section, returned at day's end to confirm that the leak had been rectified and satisfactorily coverd over the excavation.
Despite his youth, Joe evidenced authentic expertise; his apprenticeship under Danny was invaluable. Joe's charges were reasonable & fair, as were the charges for previous work this firm provided, & his personable nature was an additional asset. Danny & his team deserve the success they have earned. They remain my go to choice for all plumbing problems.
I cannot recommend this firm too highly.
Lew R., Thousand Oaks

Had a septic inspection for new home and they were friendly and knowledgeable. Showed them another issue and they explained how to fix it easily rather than trying to charge something unnecessary to repair. Honest!

Kudos to Joe, who came exactly when he said he would, for a Saturday emergency, let me know ahead of time the hourly rate for a Saturday so I would not be shocked, and then stuck with the repair until it was down, even cleaning up inevitable mess afterwards. I would recommend this company immediately and will use them in the future
