Since my furnace was 30 years old, I decided to replace it before it quit working. I called Thompson after finding them so highly rated on Yelp. They didn't disappoint!!. Matt came to give me a quote and what a nice guy! He was running later and actually called me to let me know he was stuck in traffic. Much appreciated. He advised me on what to get without trying to upsell me. In today's world, that's was a breath of fresh air. I had planned on getting other quotes, but decided to go with Thompson right then.
Being the voice of your company, Veronica is a real asset. She is professional and more importantly comes across as really caring about her customers.
The install team, Nate and Mikey ( love your beanies!) showed up on time. Two knowledgeable and personable guys who shared their knowledge with me about filters, etc.
They were neat and as well as the rest of the Thompson team, shows pride in their work.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any of my friends and my only complaint is thery didn't give me enough business cards to hand out!

Based on Yelp reviews, my wife and I selected Thompson Heating and Air Conditioning to remove and replace ducting in the attic of our Escondido residence. Right from the start we were impressed with Veronica who scheduled an appointment for an inspection and estimate for the work only a few days days after our call. The estimate was performed by Matt, a very personable and knowledgeable sales representative. Later that same day, we received a call from Veronica who told us they had an opening to do the removal and replacement of the ductwork the very next day! Two installers, Jeff and Nate, showed up right on time and had the job completed in less than 7 hours. Both installers were highly professional, hard working and respectful of our home. Jeff also showed us photos he had taken of the new ductwork. We are very pleased with the reasonable pricing, prompt and courteous service we received from Thompson Heating and Air Conditioning and recommend this company whole-heartedly.

The furnace, ducts and the AC in our home were very old and in great need of repair, the ducts was installed incorrect and got smashed in a few places and we do not have the whole house fan in this house.   We got three bids and Thompson was by far the best, fair price and much better products with top notch service . Darrel  gave us a bid shortly after we called.  He didn't pressure in anyway.  He simply give us a fair bid, not adding any unnecessary additions. 
The work was done by awesome Nate in a very timely manner, Nate was courteous, very professional and knowledgeable, he work very hard and always with a great attitude, calm manner and a gentle voice and Nate kept us apprised of the progress after work everyday for straight four days, he even took pictures of the before and after for us in areas that we can't see like: the attic, under house craw spaces, above the ceiling in the garage...etc. Nate honesty and integrity blew us away, looking at the ducts work that Nate had performed we have no doubt that we are no longer breath in bad air while using the heat.  The second days Jeff came and on the last two days Ryan was there also.  They are extremely respectful of our house and they put down cloths so not to get anything dirty and they left our house very clean when they were done. 
The heater now works great and we are so happy with how quiet it is and much more efficient.  The first time we turned the heater on we were not sure if it was on or not until we started feeling the heat,...talk about being quite ;-) The weather do not allow us to try the new AC and the whole house quite fan yet but base on our experience with the heater we are pretty confident that we will have a pleasant and enjoyable summer than last Summer, thanks Thompson Heating and Air :-) 
Veronica always very professional on the phone and pleasant to talked to.  From start to finished the customer service we were provided was amazing. In the future, I will be referring all my friends/family to Thompsons.

Darrell handled everything smoothly and professionally. I appreciate his honesty about repairing versus getting a new unit. I elected to repair for now because of all the other assorted house repair needs I have going on at the same time. I look forward to an upgraded furnace with more efficiency in the future and will be going to Darrell and Thompson HVAC for that. Give him a call, you won't go wrong.

Any home repair can be a traumatic experience, but I think Thompson makes it as painless as possible. The technician (Darrell) came out quickly and at the exact time estimated. He walked me through the problem and clearly explained all of my options. And he got the required part and finished the job the same day. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Thompson to anyone needing HVAC work.

Our attic heater stopped on perhaps the coldest night in Carlsbad. I called Thompson based on yelp reviews and the next day Brian came ( a Saturday) . He quickly assessed and discovered the issue: a loose screw fell into the motor causing it to turn off. He put everything back in order and waited to make sure the heater was running properly. Quick and honest people. Highly recommended!

Pretty simple fix: Blown fuse in the furnace, but tech did a great job walking me through the situation , and how to avoid in the future.

I called Thompson Heating and Air to fix a furnace issue. The same morning I left my message, they called me back and scheduled the repair technician to come out the next day. Brian was prompt professional and communicated his diagnostic process throughout the service call. Hearing his level of knowledge and his ability to communicate it clearly to a layman made me confident in his ability to solve the issue. I was the last call of the day and you never would have known it, he took his time to diagnose and fix the problem. To leave no question- he double checked all the equipment was working properly prior to packing up. I will definitely be hiring Thompson Heating and Air for any future HVAC needs...hands down!!! ......Thanks Brian for treating us to excellent service!!

I give these good folks 4 stars instead of 5 because of the lack of follow through. You have to call them and get things done or they don't get done. Everything else about them is wonderful.
