Had a sudden leak appear in a garden area of rental property I own, with water actively running. Found Thompson Plumbing and saw good reviews on Yelp, so decided to ask them to look at it for an estimate. I was told there was a ""watermain leaking under the walkway"" which would require a new line, copper pipes into my garage, and new ball valve shut offs. The estimate: over $8000 (!) and they insisted it would be at least an 8-10 hr job, requiring 2 workers. Being on my own, I thought a water main leak was serious, and it could be that expensive. (I normally get 2nd opinions, but I was way too trusting and worried about potential major property damage) Fortunately, I had 2 relatives to check with and they both told me this was quote seemed outrageous bordering on predatory. One pointed out for 8 hours work, that would be $1000/hr (The estimator insisted the work would involve over 50ft of copper pipe, but would not even give me a breakdown of material costs to evaluate the bid). I found another company to come out, who explained it was an ""irrigation line"" leak, and they offered to do the needed repair with similar work, for a substantially lower price. The work was completed in 6 hours, by one worker. I decided also to contact the City water Dept to check the water meter; they said if it indeed had been a ""water main"" leak, I would likely have had abnormal readings, which I did not. (The other thing to point out is I got texted to write up a review for the company just for giving an estimate, and again even after I had called them to tell them not to do the work, and a 3rd time by e-mail). I've learned to be cautious in the future when companies are drowning in so many reviews. The person I spoke with was nice enough but I would not advise using them, based on my experience, without getting other estimates.

I reached out for help when we realized that we had a leak in our bathroom from an unknown area. The customer service on the phone was great and they sent a plumber out that same day. We were fortunate to work with Ramon who was extremely professional and was able to quickly identify the cause of our problem. He gave us different options to fix the issue and was transparent about the best case scenario as well as worst case scenario that could occur once removing our toilet to reveal what is underneath. Thankfully, the fix was the best case scenario and the estimate he provided up front was what we paid. He was efficient with completing the job and overall very kind. Our downstairs heater started to malfunction so I called Thompson H&AC to take a look at it. They originally installed our H&AC system several years before. I requested that Ty come out since he had helped us with an issue 2 years ago. He quickly diagnosed it but unfortunately it was going to take a few days to receive the needed motor & module. It arrived a little faster than we expected. They had already called and got us on Ty's schedule ahead of time so we did not have to wait an extra day or 2. Ty came out and installed it quickly and everything is working great now. The heater had to remain off during this time to prevent more components from being damaged but Thompson responded quickly to minimize downtime.

Ty is very competent at his job, polite, cordial and thoughtful.

I've worked with Thompson for over a year now and I could not be happier with the service they have provided. Since the purchase of our home we have had a variety of repairs and modifications made and the technicians at Thompsons have always accomplished what we needed promptly and with skill.

We have had multiple toilets replaced, new drain lines installed for a garage washing machine, and they even installed an entire bathroom double sink vanity from attaching the quartz counter top, attaching everything to the wall, moving water lines and getting everything hooked up.

They were even able to come out quickly and fix our AC during the summer heat.

They are upfront with pricing and always have everything out in an itemized list.

I couldn't ask for a better company to work with. Most of our recent work has been with Ignacio and he has been awesome. But we've worked with many technicians and they have all been top notch.

We've been a customer of Thompson Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning for more than 3 years and they have again provided reliable and professional services for our most recent needs. Bryan diagnosed the problems with our previous water heater and how a bigger problem awaited if we kept it so we decided to replace it with a tankless water heater which they installed and it's been working fine for our hot water needs. He also showed us evidence that the copper pipes in our home (which are 25 years old) were experiencing corrosion and had very small holes beginning to form. After consulting with Bryan it was decided the best course of action would be to repipe our house with PEX piping. During these projects everyone at Thompson Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning were always very responsive, professional, courteous and thorough completing each project with lots of communication and feedback. Bryan was the Project Manager and Installer for the tankless water heater and repiping; and working with him was a pleasure. He demonstrated everything we needed to know using the new tankless system and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. About 4-5 years ago we had a good experience when they quoted us to install AC Although we didn't do the project it was a positive experience. Recently we set up two appointments with Thompson- one to fix our heater and another to give us a quote for a new heat pump. The person who serviced the heater did some work but it did not solve the problem. He confirmed his boss would be out the following day to give us a quote. My husband arranged his work schedule to be here. No one showed up for the appointment. When my husband called he was told the technician had given enough information to his boss to give us a quote and one would be emailed later. He said he's like to talk to them about the heat pump to ask questions. He was told the boss wasn't available to talk on the phone but we could text questions. To think we're getting a quote for a system costing well over $10,000 and they won't even bother to talk to us on the phone. Extremely poor service experience. Not to mention we had another company out to look at that heater and they were able to provide a solution that has actually fixed our problem. Total waste of $$$ with Thompson.

I had a slab leak and needed a plumber right away. I called Thompson Plumbing and Ramon Escalante responded immediately. Ramon and Will
Bakernan, of Thompson Plumbing, gave a coordinated effort of help. Ramon diagnosed the problem, and worked with Will who arranged to have a work crew arrive the next day. The crew was efficient, polite, and professional and completed performing a total repiping of entire house in a matter of hours. Will has been extremely helpful in guiding me with financial questions and answering my multiple concerns. Oddly enough my son is experiencing a similar problem with pipes and flooding. I am so very thankful he told me about Thompson and the recommendation was well worth following up and hiring Thompson Plumbing.
