I had them out for two separate things- ac & plumbing. They were excellent! The ac was fixed. Garrett explained it might be a temporary fix but he did not try to sell me a new unit. Garrett was very informative. Michael fixed my plumbing issues & also educated me on how to prevent future trouble. They both wore masks & were respectful. I highly recommend using them.

Great service, and explained the problem well. I wanted to see the panel and the fix and that was okay.
Basically our AC wires were disconnected by another company to set up for an electric stove. Thompson found another opening verified that the panel was marked correct (electric dryer we have gas dryer) and used that opening.

Great and fast service from Thompson today! I called this morning after my AC unit stopped blowing cold air. Sara returned my message within 20 minutes and after a call to the service tech they were able to fit us in this afternoon. With the hottest week of the year approaching and a fussy 13 month old, we didn't have a choice; someone had to come out today. We couldn't wait until next Wednesday. Garrett (service tech) showed up just after the start of our 2hr window, diagnosed and fixed the problem within 40 minutes. This was my second experience with Thompson and both have been great! Would highly recommend!

Awesome and reliable service! My A/C stopped working a week ago. I called them to schedule a consultation and Garret came immediately the next day, but since the part that was needed to be replaced needs to be ordered it took a few days before they could do the repair. I called on a Monday and they were fully booked up with appointments, and the earliest i can get the service will be on Thursday. but luckily they were so kind to accomodate my situation and squeeze me in despite their busy schedules. Sarah called me Tuesday morning and said they could come immediately and do the repairs, and as i expected Garret and his companion did an awesome job! Got my AC working in less than 30mins. And even gave us helpful tips to keep our AC maintained. Plus they were also wearing masks and shoe covers which i really appreciate in this times when we need to be extra careful. Great personal service from everyone on the team. I'll give 3 examples.

The office staff was very professional keeping us well informed with email and texts. They took advantage of a cancellation to move the service call up by two days.

Another firm told us that repair was not possible. The unit would need to be replaced at a cost of $3,500. Thompson repaired it for $800.

We informed them on Friday morning that our son would arrive on Tuesday and because of his medical issues we were really hoping to have the system in operation prior to his arrival. The manager was kind enough to alter his schedule, personally pick up the needed parts from another facility, complete the installation, and have it working perfectly before the day was over.

Third follow up! We love Thompson, Veronica in the office is WONDERFUL, owner/operator Garrett is very friendly and informative, and Mario (tech) is great too!! This visit was just for annual/scheduled maintenance, as our system has been running awesome since day one. (Or maybe day 14....after we realized the drainage terminated into a wall stud instead of the washer drain as our plumbers had indicated...)

We are living in some strange times with COVID 19, so I first want to highlight that Garrett and Mario went above and beyond to be safe, socially distant, and sanitary while in my home. Both wore masks, frequently washed hands, and took time to confirm the steps they are taking to keep their clients safe.

They spent time making sure everything was working correctly in our system, and I can't emphasize enough that this is company that genuinely values their relationships with clients and the safety of our community, and does excellent work.

When choosing Thompson Heating and Plumbing for help with my HVAC problem, I was somewhat anxious because of the unfavorable experience with the previous company that installed my $10K unit. I initially went back to this company that installed the unit some 2 1/2 years earlier and received little more response than an added $800 to $1,200 repair estimate for a coolant leak. Due to this, I decided to get a second opinion. I chose Garrett's company because he was referred by a friend who previously worked in this industry in the Oceanside area.
I found Garrett and his tech Ty to be friendly, honest and understanding about my problem and previous experience, while still maintaining a good level of professionalism. The estimate for the same job was significantly less expensive than that given by the other company.
Upon approval and start of the authorized work, Ty discovered that the problem may be greater than what was initially thought. Rather than just completing the authorized work, Ty took the time to explain why felt there was possibly an additional problem. The service was stopped and Garrett and Ty returned a couple days later to perform more in-depth diagnostics. They agreed to do this at no additional charge and actually did it on a Sunday. They were correct in stopping the initial coolant recharge as they found a coil leak in the attic. Although it required warrantied parts acquisition significantly more work, the job was completed in a timely manner and still at a cost that was on the low end of the original estimate by the other company.
Thompson Plumbing, Heating and Air has gained a new long term customer. I highly recommended them to anyone in need of HVAC help.

I had an a/c system installed a few years ago by Thompson. There was an issue with the cheap pvc housing they installed to cover the wires/copper pipes behind my house. I called them to have an aluminum one installed. The receptionist had no idea what I was talking about and kept trying to push some service plan on me. I just wanted someone to install the same metal cover all of my neighbors have!
Bottom line, this is one of those companies that really doesn't want to support after the job is done.

Ryan just left, and I am so relieved! He fixed the intermittent working not working isssues. Total charge the visit cost $89. I was scarred it could be very costly, at a time when we have no idea what is going to happen with jobs and incomes due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 ongoing issues! I appreciate Thompson, Heating Plumbing and Air. Not enough good things to say about Ryan too. He was on time, polite, kept the area clean he worked at, and put a covering across his shoes when came in and out. Oh, he put in a new air filter too. I asked many questions and he answered them. An all around great employee, and I'll call and recommend Thompson In the future! ERL
