AC is down. Diagnosis done on 5/10/22 and the earliest they can come and fix is June 1st 2022. Solid 20 days in Phoenix AZ summer.

My home warranty (First American) ) sent out Thomas Home Service. The repairman was nice and on time and said my unit was low on R22 and I probably had a leak. He said he was not authorized to fix and he had to request a senior technician come out the next week. He did not put in any R22. It was not cooling and iced over when he left. I thought they scheduled me for follow up for 4 days later and when that day came.... the senior tech never showed. When I called ...they said the follow up appointment was for Me two week from then. I said not waiting two weeks additional for another repair Tech after their guy would not fix first time out. My home warranty would not refund my $85 service either and I had to go outside of home warranty coverage to get my AC cooling again.
I do not recommend either First American Hone Warranty nor this AC repair company THOMAS

Emily, you know what would have made me smile today? If you hadn't canceled my scheduled HVAC maintenance two business days in a row.

I have First American Home Warranty and they assigned this contractor to come fix my AC. Scheduled our first appointment on Monday 03/28 and a Tech 1 came out and said that he was able to diagnose an issue but a Tech 2 would have to be scheduled to make the repairs. He told me that someone from the company would contact me to schedule the Tech 2. I didn't hear back from anyone so I CALLED THEM the next day and they told me that the earliest they could schedule my next appointment was Friday 04/01 in the afternoon. Fast forward to Friday. I haven't heard anything from this company and the estimated time window they gave me is over. I called and spoke to rude and unsympathetic Emily who said that they could not get to me because they're running behind and they're closed on weekends. I tell her that I need that person to come out ASAP because it's 90 degrees in my house and she really didn't care. She said she will schedule someone to come today Monday 04/04. I told her that I needed an HVAC tech on Friday as scheduled because not only is it hot, but I'm going to start a new Job on Monday and no one would be home. After several moments of us going back and forth it was clear to me that Emily and this company lack integrity and basic human decency. I had no choice but to schedule for Monday and ask a friend to be here for to let the AC man in. When I went on my first break, I saw that I had missed a call from them so I returned the call on my break and Surprise surprise, Emily. She said she canceled my appointment again and that the earliest she could reschedule is Friday 04/08/22.
I would never recommend this company to anyone and if your homeowners warranty assigns you here, I would suggest that you have them reassign you ASAP. To Emily's boss, She needs training on her customer service skills. I would also suggest you hire more HVAC techs and stop overbooking your schedule because you have created a company that has provided me some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life.

Beware! Stay AWAY! Bad Customer Service!

Update:
The day after I posted this review they sent a Tech 2 out on Tuesday 04/05/2022 to complete the job that the tech 1 diagnosed. However when the tech 2 left the house he said that the AC was still not working because he broke our motor and that we would have to call back to reschedule and order the part.

Wednesday 04/06/2022 I called the company to schedule and Emily said that she would call me back to schedule when they were able to locate the part. She said that she would give me a call back in the afternoon.

Thursday 04/07/2022 since no one called me back to schedule I called them back to find out what was going on. Emily Refused to let me Talk to a supervisor or higher up and I hope that those calls were recorded. Mind you, at this point it has already been 3 weeks in my 90 degree house without AC. After I got off the phone with Emily. I got a message from my homeowner's warranty stating that my case has been reassigned to a new provider.

So I contacted my warranty to see about a cash out option because now I have to start this process over with a new company and my Home Warranty said that we cant do a cash out option until we get a diagnoses because Thomas Home NEVER updated a diagnostic report.

I ended up just hiring someone and paying them out of pocket to come fix the issue. The man I hired after this Awful company said that my motor was not even broken and that it was a different part. He also said that they left my wires any which way and that he would rewire my AC unit included in the cost because it was hard to work in and may cause problems later.

NEVER NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.

They destroyed my home by improperly installing our AC unit. They caused massive water damage to our home. It has now been 6 months and they still have not fixed my home. I now have two toddlers in a home full of mold and with a ceiling of asbestos falling down and they don't care enough to fix it. Don't go with them unless you want to be screwed.

This company worked on my families' house and didn't properly finish their work, resulting in significant water damage when it rained. They have actively avoided fixing the house or compensating for their mistake ever since. Do not hire them unless you are willing to pay the tens of thousands of dollars when they wipe their hands of their mistakes.

AC went out in September. Called our Home Warranty and they sent out Jerome Montgomery of Thomas Home Services, who met with my wife (I was working). He confirmed the unit needed a new compressor, but that the unit was also 25 years old and was on its last legs. He convinced us to replace the entire unit (and not thru our home warranty service). He told my wife he'd qualify us for a new credit card to pay for the unit at zero % interest until paid off. I presumed there was a mistake and that perhaps the credit card would only be zero % for the first year. When the credit card bill came, it was at 9.99% until paid off. When I called Jerome, he made excuses, telling me he could change it to zero %, but that would require a minimum monthly payment of $400 every month. I kept the 9.99% rate.
The AC ran quiet and great for two months. However, this weekend, we went to turn on the heat and it only blew cold air. Called Thomas Home services and they sent out a tech without a ladder (we have a two-story house with unit on roof). Another tech came back 5 hours later and confirmed we need a new thermostat. Although Thomas Home Services is a vendor on our warranty plan, and we could get it done through our plan for a $75 service call, Thomas Home Services wanted to charge us $225 + tax (even though the tech tried to get them to comp us because of all the aggravation they put us through).
So overall, not happy with them, and especially not happy with Jerome Montgomery. He's a professional ""Con Man"" posing as a saleman. He gave my wife the bait & switch to sell her a new unit outside of our home warranty plan and mislead her about the interest on the credit card he qualified us for to pay for it.

Priced a tankless water heater. They gave us a quote right away but when we did
Our due diligence and asked which model it took them over two weeks. By this time we went with another company. Pls read reviews on this company. Very unresponsive.

When Thomas Home Services responded to an A/C problem (same unit as the one for this latest problem) through our homeowner's warranty company last spring, we were satisfied with their service.. This latest call, to say the least, was exceedingly different. Three different times over about two weeks, service repair people came and were unable to fix the problem. However, after tightening a panel, the one that came for the last visit told us that the system was probably leaking Freon, and that he could not do the test to check the Freon level because he was only a level 1 repair person. He said that he would not add any Freon until he requested someone came out who was a level 3 and could administer the correct test. We discovered that instead of doing so, he reported that the A/C was working and the job he did was complete. The company refused to do anything further saying their tech had completed the job. Needless to say the same problem still exists; the A/C still doesn't work properly; and the warranty company says that since the tech said the problem was fixed, another $85 service charge payable to Thomas Home Services is necessary before Thomas will come out. Thomas Home Services needs to clean up its act, hire better techs, and focus on what real service is rather than trying to dupe homeowners into extra service charges.

This contractor was assigned by our home warranty company after our AC unit stopped cooling. A ""supervisor"" Jerome arrived, took a quick look at the age of the unit and immediately put on a hard sell for a new unit outside of our home warranty. He said a repair wouldn't even last a couple of months and didn't make sense. While I think a new unit was a wise choice, the approach was a hard sell and OUTSIDE of the home warranty, which paid NOTHING.
Part of what Jerome offered is ""experience and knowledge"" since he'd been in the business nearly 2 decades. Interestingly, he didn't attend any of the job and did not even check their work upon completion. Workers spoke little English or chose to be non-communicative and behaved rudely. Our home was left in a horrible mess, with debris scattered across rooms and down stairs, even leaving dangerous metal shards all over the floor! I punctured my foot upon walking in to the install room after workers left, and believe me, they are going to hear about leaving things in this condition! I now have a bandaged foot and I have no idea if the unit was even installed properly. Jerome was only interested in picking up the payment and didn't have the common courtesy to review work the guys did. This speaks to how little this company cares for customers and a very high level of deception. Stay FAR far away from this company! I'm hiring another AC firm to come in and inspect installation job and make any necessary corrections. I feel I got ripped off for an $8K job ... a terribly messed up home, injured foot and not so much as a quality control check at the end of the job!

Took two weeks to confirm what other warranty co already did.
I had the correct OEM mfg parts on will-call at Siglers.
These guys clearly want to buy low budget but charge the max price for warranty work. (D bags)
First visit diagnosis: OK
Second visit a week later: OOOOOOOOHHHHH SSSSOOOOOORRRRYYYY
I brought the wrong parts. Promised to come back next morning.
Next morning, no show, no notification call, nada. Called them and OOOOOOOHHHHHH NNNNOOOOO, WWWWWEEEE CCCCCAAANNNTTT GGGGEEETTT THAT BLOWER MOTOR. I called Siglers and the Carrier motor was still available. SO SICK OF BEING LIED TO.
Now, Emily (butter wouldn't melt in her mouth) says OOOOOOHHHHH, the earliest we can come again is next Tuesday.

These folks are so unprofessional it makes me want to puke. They clearly wanted to buy a cheap-ass motor to ""repair"" our system but would charge the home warranty company full price for the OEM unit. In my books this is called FRAUD !!!! Add that to bad customer service and this is what you get with this shitshow.
