Shady. Corrupt. Looking into confirming fraudent scheming on their end. Notice the reviews seem to all be related to warranties (mostly specified under American Home Shield). They are incapable of generating any other customer base as they are low quality, unprofessional, and conniving. The company is not to be trusted under any circumstances. Even if you are able to gain warranty approval, I'd stay far away from such incompetent and untrustworthy people handling important repairs in your home. Frightening.

Third generation = third rate service. If I could give zero stars I would. I have homeshield and they contracted them. Third generation came out multiple times to diagnose a leak, and then took then two weeks to order a new compressor. They said I would not be charged for the compressor but $400 for freon and when I said I could refill freon elsewhere they cancelled my order without telling me. When I told them that homeshield was still going with them it took two more weeks to come and put the new air compressor in. When they installed it, they welded it incorrectly and it literally busted and leaked freon after two weeks. Homeshield contracted two more ac companies to come out and check it and they said they are constantly fixing third generations problems and that it was done incorrectly, yet they couldn't take on the job since Third generation welded it incorrectly. So back to third generation- they wouldn't come out kept putting me off, hanging up when I called, say that I am on the schedule then never show, give four hour times slots and then never show and change your scheduling times and then blame you for missed appointment. I honestly don't know how they are in business. The technicians from other ac companies said third generation does not properly train their techs, and from what I have witnessed it seems very true. The customer service is horrible and they are incredibly rude. My ac has been down for TWO MONTHS in the hottest part of the year in Florida, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

Oh where do I start? Let me see.. Maybe I should start at the part where my wife and I hired Third Generation Plumbing to come fix a shower drain issue in our upstairs master bathroom for which they removed our shower doors, broke the doors, damaged the stairs while moving the doors to the garage, and caused a water stain on the first floor below where the shower repair was.... OR should I start with how my wife and I have called repeatedly for OVER a month since the day they were here and left messages over and over again to have the manager Omar call us back to discuss what happened, but we would NEVER receive a return call from him?! Well it took ONE MONTH and a day a we finally spoke to Omar... AND GUESS WHAT?? They refuse to take responsibility for ANY of it! This company is an absolute joke and customer service is clearly at the bottom of their list!! AVOID THIS SCAM OF A BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS! (no idea why the review states my location as San Francisco, we are located in Land O' Lakes, FL)

Our hot water heater is covered by a warranty company and is spiking from hot to cold. The warranty company contacted 3rd generation. They came out and charged $450.00 for repairs not covered by the warranty. These repairs did not help at all. I called them back and they came back out. The technician said they didn't know what was wrong and would call or come back. They never did. It's still not fixed. Working on having the warranty company send out another company. They also told the warranty company the work was done and it was not.

After receiving a written diagnostic from Third generation plumbing, for my hot water heater. Third generation plumbing recommended replacement. My home warranty agreed to pay partial. I complained Third generation plumbing wanted me to pay $850. dollars. $250 dollars to pull a permit that cost $81.00, $60.00 for a drip pan( not required in Hillsbrough county). $95.00 for a valve, $250 for pipe modifications. Oh and 195.00 to remove old. After I complained to a very rude office lady. Third generation plumbing told American home shield my water heater was caused by NOT normal wear and tear. After that American home shield changed their mind and denied claim, after 1st approving it. What a scam. This is by far the most unprofessional company in Tampa.

I wish I could give negative stars. April, the woman who answers the phone, should find work elsewhere as her customer service and basic respect for her fellow human beings is non existent. I had home warranty work for Attic AC Duct inspection and I called with a question regarding the technicians report and April said, """"Are you done?"""", to which I said, what's that supposed to mean? """"Are you done rambling on and on?"""" Wow, you're very rude, I was very precise, how was I rambling? April then told me, """"OK, if you need to talk to us then go through the warranty company and don't call us back again."""" Then April hung up on me. There is much more to say about the further interactions with this """"company"""" that were much like this mentioned experience but I don't want to type for the next 30 minutes.

Read other reviews and request different company if using your Home Warranty! They fixed my issue for a day and then AC turned off again. It's a fairly new unit installed in 2018. I had another company come and fix the issue properly. I wish I read these reviews first.

Absolutely HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. AHS warranty claim, Huebert showed up to the home, didn't even want to walk in the bathroom, wouldn't touch the toilet, immediately stated we need a $350 camera (without touching a thing) and said it would be $250 """"to remove the toilet"""". Then told us needed approval, called, selected to be called back from AHS (after sitting in his truck for 25 minutes), said """"they usually don't call back"""". Tried to get us to sign a $600 repair bill without even knowing what was going on. Contacted the office, Katie, HORRIBLE PERSON (As shown on many Yelp reviews and BBB reviews as """"rude and argumentative"""". refused to listen then hun up on me. We called back again and were told we were """"blocked"""". DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Terrible customer service. Terrible company. Seems like a scam. Unnecessary charges and not showing up after they said they would and then lying to the warranty company. Worst experience ever. Stay away. Ask for a different contractor.

TERRIBLE SERVICE AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Third Generation was contracted through our home warranty company to complete 2 small plumbing issues - the poor cold water pressure in our shower, and the lack of cold water in our kitchen sink (the water when turned to the cold side was always luke warm). Third Generation came to our home twice. The first time they repaired nothing. After the second call they still were unable to repair the cold water pressure in the shower and after attempting to repair our kitchen water issue they actually broke our faucet. Worse even than that was the fact that if I had not turned on the kitchen faucet before they left, they were going to leave it broken and not tell me! Can it get worse? Yes it can. Despite the fact that the kitchen faucet was working fine when they arrived, and they actually broke it, they refused to repair it and suggested that for a discounted price, I could pay to have it repaired. THEY WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR BREAKING IT!!!! THEY SHOULD FIX IT FOR FREE! I spoke with the owner / manager who refused to repair it stating that they would require authorization from the home warranty company.... authorization for something THEY broke. Authorization for things that should have been repaired correctly during their first visit. They left me with family visiting from out of town and staying with me with a shower that does not function properly, and a kitchen sink that requires the water to be shut off in order for it not to continuously pour out. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL, AND TRULY UNCARING TO LEAVE MY HOME WITH WORSE PLUMBING ISSUES THAN I HAD BEFORE THIRD GENERATION ARRIVED.
