We provide licensed Well and Septic services throughout central North Carolina.
In 1976, Ray Sparrow launched The Water Specialist.
As a third-generation plumber, Ray devoted his life to the family plumbing firm.
His focus shifted to water wells, well pumps, treatment systems, and water quality testing.
He encountered homeowners relying on water wells who lacked reliable service options in the Triangle area.
Since his family's firm focused on plumbing, Ray saw an opportunity to create his own well, pump, and treatment company.
Since 1976, the company has expanded to include a dedicated division for septic system installation and repair, as well as an inspection division for real estate transactions.
Today, our team consists of 25 dedicated full-time professionals.
Ray, Jim's father, established The Water Specialist in 1976.
Having grown up in the family business, Ray was a third-generation contractor.
He began his venture from home, working out of their kitchen table.
Jim and his brother Caleb have spent their lives involved in the contracting field in different roles.
They have spent the last 15 years working closely with The Water Specialist.
At present, Jim holds multiple licenses, including NC Well Contractor, NC Licensed Plumber, NC Electrical Contractor, and NC Septic Inspector and Installer.
