We provide licensed Well and Septic services throughout central North Carolina.
In 1976, Ray Sparrow launched The Water Specialist.
As a third-generation plumber, Ray devoted his life to the family plumbing firm.
His focus shifted to water wells, well pumps, treatment systems, and water quality testing.
He encountered homeowners relying on water wells who lacked reliable service options in the Triangle area.
His family's firm preferred to concentrate on plumbing, so Ray recognized a chance to establish his own well, pump, and water treatment business.
Since its inception, the firm has grown to feature a separate division for septic system installation and repair, along with an inspection division for real estate.
Currently, the company employs 25 full-time staff members.
The Water Specialist was founded in 1976 by Ray, Jim's father.
Having grown up in the family business, Ray was a third-generation contractor.
Ray launched his business from home, starting at their kitchen table.
Jim and his brother Caleb have dedicated their lives to the contracting industry in various capacities.
They have spent the last 15 years working closely with The Water Specialist.
Currently, Jim holds licenses as a NC Well Contractor, NC Licensed Plumber, NC Electrical Contractor, and NC Septic Inspector and Installer.
