Our Journey

The Plug Buster started in 1988 as a one-man operation. When our son returned home from military duty in Iraq, we expanded to a father-and-son business. Ron, the father, has a strong background in construction and has been an adult scout leader for 38 years. He loves serving others and takes pride in his work.

John, the son, is following in his father's footsteps. Ron's journey began in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he grew up helping his father, a construction foreman. After high school and a mission for the LDS Church, he worked as an apprentice carpenter and became a journeyman carpenter. In 1983, he moved to Alaska for two years, then returned to school to earn a teaching degree in construction trades. After teaching in the valley for three years, he decided to work for himself and founded The Plug Buster, serving the valley for the last 22 years.
